I am in the Radiology program. All the instructors work in the field, so all the lesson revolve around the real world of x-ray. One of our instructors is also our clinical instructor and works really hard to place each student in the best location that fits their personality. The workload is heavy, but each quarter builds upon the past one. Now, I am in my second quarter and stuff is actually making sense. The curriculum is solely based on the aspects of x-ray and what we will encounter when we start our clinical rotation. The clinical coordinator works directly with head of the radiology department at the site, so we are constantly being monitored and our coordinator is always keep up to date on or progress. We will also participate in mock registry exams to prepare us for our board exam. I've spoken to x-ray students from other schools and they were not prepared for their boards or their clinical rotation. I feel very fortunate.

Baker college has been a wonderful experience. I couldn't have picked a better college to attend. Its close to home, I have great teachers that know the topics that are teaching. Baker is unique because its a very small college which I like. the classes are no bigger then 30 in most classes, there are a few with 60 in the class. I have lots of opportunities to have one on one with the teachers during the office times or staying after class to ask questions. I would choose baker over any other college time and time again.

With my program, there is a very good chance I will get hired after my clinical. I also have joined two Radiologic organizations and was chosen to represent my school in the 2016 Student Leadership Development Seminar. Another bonus to this school is the opportunity to join organizations before I am a licensed technologist. As students we have the opportunity to also attend monthly meetings fro free or a very reduced price.
