The career choice of mine to study at Baker College, is the two year program for Pharmacy Technician, which will also give me my Associates for Applied Science. I enjoyed the pharm program that Baker offers. I was able to do some hands-on and in the classroom techniques. There is a special lab set up specifically for the pharmacy program that allows students to experience what it would be like in an actual pharmacy setting, whether it be hospital or retail or compounding. It was a nice learning experience that they offered. The workload for assignments and homework, etc. was acceptable. It was challenging at times, but that is to be expected in the real-life workplace. Taking these classes and obtaining experience allowed me to earn a job at Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy, before even obtaining my degree. I was also able to use my work experience towards clinicals, which was wonderful!

The college is close to home, offers ample tutoring opportunities and day or evening classes. The college advisors are with you every step of the way to advise and encourage you. As a student, I immediately had a sincere sense that every member of the entire faculty was invested and genuinely concerned with my personal success in college. It is as if you can feel all of them rooting for you! That is exactly what I needed, being it has been years since I have been in a classroom setting!

I give baker college of Owosso an A, because it's really a great school. The teachers care and want you to pass. Baker college has so many options to help you out: the writing lab, the libray, they people who work in the libray, and the baker database. The school as a whole wants you to pass and get a job, be the best you can be. This isn't just based on the teachers either. I have not ran into a person who works for baker who hasnt been helpful or nice. They all have smiles on their faces. I couldn't have picked a better school for me!
