I am learning a lot, and feel that I am receiving a good education. However, with that said, I do not think the money we pay is equivalent to the amount we are learning. I feel we are being overcharged for classes and books. Some classes we pay $200-$300 for a book and then we never use them or barely refer to the book. When we try to resell the books, we are only offered $25 or less. In some classes, the books are used for two classes, such as algebra & algebra II, or Geography & geography II so you don't mind paying the price--- then you find out the next semester they switch to new books and you have to buy another book anyway. It's crazy!

Throughout my four years, I have taken 2-3 classes that were pretty much repeats of the same class. We were required to do the exact same assignments, and 3/4 of the class was a repeat of the same material. My third time around, I began using my same assignments and turning them in rather than to waste my time re-doing them. I didn't learn anything new in these classes, just spent another $1000+ to take another class and learn the same thing.

Some people think that I'm joking around when I say "Baker college changed my life", but honestly it has. My sister encouraging me to go back to school and attend baker has been the best advice I have ever acted on. I was nervous to start school again but with all of the rewarding experiences I have experienced because of baker I look forward to going to school. It's such a rewarding feeling of accomplishment that I have never experienced and I hope that funding for my education will not stop me from obtaining my degree in nursing! Nursing is going to be my future because of baker and I have never been more excited about something in my life.

Overall the professors have been great! There are a few that have been not so helpful but the majority of the professors care and take the time to get to know you. They are very helpful when it comes to asking questions, and will not turn you away. The registration process is done all online after your first semester. It is very simple and if you have planned your classes ahead of time, there is nothing to worry about. If you wait until the last minute it gets tricky. The curriculum is based on your degree program. The classes can be simple, yet they can be challenging. I believe that Baker has tried to make college an enjoyable experience for all ages.
