Bringing your car is a definite must, and there's plenty of parking all over campus. It's also easy to get a permit—all you have to do is stop by the Public Safety Office and ask for one. Permits really aren't that expensive, which is a very good deal in comparison to other schools in the Boston area. This is not to say that parking is very convenient for students here, but compared to many other schools, this is a parking lot heaven. However, finding your car after a few nights of not driving can be a significant challenge, especially when it snows and all the cars look similar under that fluffy, freezing white coat.
Having a car is helpful when you want to get a late-night snack (there are no 24-hour restaurants on campus). Cars are also useful when heading for the mall or to the Stop & Shop for some groceries. Some students go overboard and bring a winter and a summer car to campus. This can cause some congestion problems and is just another example of the wealth exhibited by most Babson students. Mostly, though, the school does a good job of providing ample parking for its students and visitors.
