Local Area: There are many pros and cos in the city of Azusa. Everything is located at a walking distance such as, grocery stores, a movie theatre, fast foods, and other stores. There are always reports of break-ins and violent incidents nearby.

2 College Sophomore

Party Scene: Nightlife in Azusa really sucks. There are very few options. Everything else is located at least 20 minutes away.

4 College Sophomore

Technology: You do not need to buy a printer. There are plenty of printers in the libraries and computer labs. However, it might be convenient to have your own printer when you just finished a paper at 3 in the morning and need to print it out.

3 College Sophomore

Administration: For a Christian school, I understand all the policies and regulations. The school is trying to make everyones experience an ultimate experience. The school is very strict about curfew, alcohol, and drug use.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Food: There are plenty of options whether you want to build your own salad at the Quikimart or if you are in the mood for chinese or a burger from the Canyon Grill. The best place to go is the Cougar's Den to build your own pizza. The only downfall to everything is its price.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: We have an excellent community. We often gather together for tea, bon fires, or have events such as Sundae-Mondays and waffle Wednesdays. The school keeps the living areas clean. The grass is always cut and not once have I seen any trash on the floor. However, finding parking in my living area is always a hassle.

4 College Sophomore

Weather: Walking from campus to campus in the middle of summer is horrid!

4 College Sophomore

Scholarships: We have a great staff that is willing to assist and help any student. However, the tuition on campus is so high that financial aid, multiple loans, and scholarships were not able to cover all my expenses.

3 College Freshman

Transportation: This campus provides free shuttles to and from the different campus. there is public transportation but I chose to use my skateboard to get to and from the shops.

3 College Freshman

Academics: At this time I'm still taking my general education. I'm only taking one class that is related to my major. The workload I have now is filled with term papers. There are many job opportunities that come along with this major.

3 College Freshman

Academics: Azusa Pacific is a school based on leadership. Part of the curriculum is based on developing leadership skills that will assists with my major. the registration process was simple.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There are many fast food chain places to go to. They do not offer student discounts. They have only three main sit down places to go to but than again those are expensive for students to go to.

3 College Freshman

Technology: I have brought my own computer to school. The computers they have are basic computers. The internet on campus is slow. printers are only available in the library. I had to buy my own printer for my room.

3 College Freshman

Parking: Parking is limited to students and visitors. They don't allow you to have a car if you are a freshman. Cost of parking is not too costly. There is a parking lot located near my dorm room. They should allow freshman to have a car on campus. Most of the shops are walking distance but there are other places that I would like to go to which require a car.

4 College Freshman

Diversity: Most people on this campus are Christians. Some are extreme where they completely never waver to the left and some waver. There is a middle group on that campus but it is very small. Very little gay students.

Majors: This major was not impacted so was able to get in. Admission is looking for GPA and they make sure you have met all of the prerequisites.

4 College Freshman

Majors: I was very lucky because they have my major at this school. I do have an internship this summer. This school is very costly and I was hoping I can receive this extra scholarship

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: the amenities in my dorm room are not that great. we only have one microwave to the whole floor. Not sure why. They do not allow us to have them in the room. There vending machines are very limited.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: Campus police are very present. We also have security guards when you enter our campus and security that will escort you to your classes if it is too dark.

4 College Junior

Academics: I am a Marketing major and am very satisfied so far. The professors are all very successful in business and a great resource. They are always very helpful and easy to get to know. If you build relationships with them, it is a huge advantage for networking and future job opportunities.

Administration: Since APU is a Christian university, they are pretty strict with visitation hours enforced and a dry-campus policy. Depending on the situation, consequences can be very serious and sometimes lead to dismissal from the university for violating the drug-alcohol policy.

Off-Campus Housing: Off campus housing options are usually very nice around Azusa. There is a range of options. Usually students will find a house to rend with 5-9 other students, making the cost usually less than on-campus housing. It is typically still fairly close to campus within a 5 minute drive. Depending on where it is, usually students don't have a problem finding off campus housing.

Transportation: APU has two campus located about a half a mile apart from each other. We have a great free trolley system that constantly shuttles students between the two campuses, or it is also a very nice walk when it is not too hot outside. They also have a late night shuttle you can call when the trolley is no longer running. For off campus transportation, people usually have their own cars to get around.

3 College Junior

Weather: It is sunny and beautiful most of the time, with students always outside hanging out. However, the month of September it is extremely hot!

4 College Freshman

Athletics: Great athletics programs at APU. They are well known around campus, and non athletics support and give so much respect. Our school spirit is raging at football games, and our boys know exactly how to put on a show for the crowd!
