3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: only freshman live in the dorms. they house sophomores+ in apartments. The facilities are nice but the rules are ridiculous. Good sense of community in the living areas but the RAs are annoying with the rules. All the living areas are pretty nice but best for freshman dorms: Trinity Hall, sophomores: University Park, Juniors/Seniors: University villiage.

Party Scene: The school has no tolerance on alcohol on campus even for those over 21. Students are not even allowed to have music and dance in large crowds or will written up. Pretty much it's not a party school. Still many students party but are discreet about it

Scholarships: I did the fafsa form as well as the application for the college and was given the sum of the amount of money I was given. Although I wish I could have received more aid, I did get a decent amount.

Administration: They are way too strict. No boys past 10 and there is no parking even though you buy a $600 parking pass you still get horrible parking and when you accidentally park in the wrong spot, you get a huge ticket.

Health & Safety: There is campus safety everywhere you go and even at night and weekends there is a safety car to use to get to the other campus.

Campus Housing: I love living on campus because you become really close with all the other students. There are many hall and dorm activities during the week that allow you to create great friendships with everyone. The rooms are big and there is a lot of storage! It is located close to the classrooms on East campus but everyone has to walk to West campus. The bathroom and hall is kept VERY clean and there are a lot of showers. Never a problem with getting hot water. We also have a big study room and a prayer room on every hall.

Guys & Girls: I know the guy girl ratio is pretty unequal at APU, but I've found plenty of guy friends. You just have to put yourself out there and be yourself. There are a lot of fake, ditsy girls around, so be real.

Campus Food: I don't eat on campus much, but I know it's easy to get bored with the options.

Diversity: There's not a lot of racial diversity even though APU really tries to emphasize it. As for acceptance when it comes to beliefs, I'd say that APU is very accepting of everything. The only thing students aren't very good about is being sensitive to those with a tough economic background. A lot of students at APU are wealthy and aren't really aware of others in that regard.

Campus Housing: I don't live on campus, but I have stayed in the dorms. I'd say that the facilities are alright, but really what makes them is the wonderful people. :)

Majors: I was able to get into the Nursing program woohoo! A lot of people applied, and I wasn't sure that I'd get in. But I did and I'm so happy about it. I do know a few people who want to transfer in and I feel bad because I don't see that happening very easily.

Majors: The programs I'm a part of (I'm double majoring) are very accommodating and helpful. I love both programs and I know they'll help me grow to be a thoughtful, intelligent person.

Local Area: Azusa is not always the nicest but it's definitely down to earth and it's close by to lots of attractions.

Party Scene: It's the best because there are no parties! I love just staying in with people and hanging out in the lounge. :)

Athletics: Athletics are a big part of campus life, however i'm not too involved. The gym sucks though...

Scholarships: I did have some trouble with getting financial aid. The main reason I'm not too disappointed is that I was able to get a lot of academic scholarships. However, APU was not very understanding of my family situation and I really would have appreciated more grant money.
