Party Scene: I never went to a party the four years I was there. Not what I am into. We had gatherings that were fun and never got out of hand.

Campus Food: I love that both campuses have places where you can eat. There is coffee and smoothies for the morning on either campus.

Campus Housing: I personally loved living on campus. I met some of my best friends there. We were able to socialize, do our school work and have fun at the same time. Living on campus gave me the opportunity to interact in school activities more often and get to know of other students.

Athletics: I'm not an athletic person, so I don't know very much about the athletics here, but I know our football team is doing well! From what I know/have heard, the facilities are pretty good

Off-Campus Dining: There are quite a few cheap restaurants and little shopping areas nearby that are pretty convenient. Target is only a mile away, and there are lots of malls nearby if you have a car

Scholarships: I was concerned about the high price of a private university, but I was very happy when I saw the scholarships I qualified for! My advice would be to START LOOKING AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE!! There were quite a few scholarships that I would have applied for (Leadership, Trustee's, etc) if I could have, but I didn't hear about them until after the deadlines. Don't be afraid to email the financial aid/One Stop office and ask for help finding scholarships. Apply for need-based AND merit-based scholarships if you can, and make sure to look for outside resources too!

Party Scene: I'm not really someone who enjoys typical college parties. There are few to none on campus because of the alcohol rules, etc, but I've heard there are lots off campus, you just have to know someone who knows where they are. There's also no Greek life at APU, which again is something I don't miss, but if you're looking to join a typical college sorority or fraternity, I would look elsewhere (there are lots of groups/clubs you can join where you make lots of friends like you would in a sorority or frat, however).

Campus Food: I personally am okay with the available food, because I found options that work for me. I like getting salads or bowls from Mexicali and sandwiches, salads, or wraps from the Den (either pre-made or personalized, like Subway) because I enjoy the variety and they're all pretty healthy. Some people complain about the food, but I think you just have to keep trying things until you discover what you like the best. Being able to go to the coffee shops and convenience stores (one of each on either campus) is also really convenient!

Off-Campus Dining: There is a lot of options such as: chipotle, Applebee's, different hamburger places, teriyaki restaurants. Prices are very reasonable.

Administration: They campus strictness is appropriate since we are in a God based school.

Scholarships: I did receive financial aid for this year but I am worried for the upcoming year.

Campus Housing: I dont live on campus, but most say its okay.

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: The field of school psychology is projected to grow over the next few years and the training and degrees obtained from APU give the students an edge over students from other schools. The school is widely accredited and the degrees and licensures available are not available at other schools.

Majors: Small community and faculty and staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. The coursework is demanding, but the community support makes it seem possible to succeed.

Scholarships: They don't increase scholarships if you do better than in highschool, but I still received lots of things to help pay for school.
