4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I absolutely love it at Azusa Pacific, but I do feel that it charges a lot of money. I feel that some of the expenses might be unnecessary but that is just my opinion. The professors are friendly and like to have a good name to name basis with their students.

Scholarships: Azusa Pacific was really helpful in providing me with information about financial aid and gave me a huge amount of scholarship/grant money.

Guys & Girls: The guys at APU are total sweethearts, however the girl to guy ratio at APU is something like 4:1. Every single guy that I've met at APU has a girlfriend. Good looking guys overall though.

Athletics: The athletes at APU are great people to know and perform exceedingly well. The Zu at APU encourages students to support our athletes in every way possible and the turn out is great. APU has loads of school spirit.

3 College Freshman

Party Scene: APU doesn't have much parties because of the no-tolerance on drug/alcohol use on and off campus. Communiversity puts on great events such as school dances.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: It was a headache to do all that financial stuff but it's nice to receive the Grant and to receive scholarships but this school is STILL damn expensive! -_-

4 College Sophomore

Transportation: It is great because everything you need is within walking distance. The problem is that everything you WANT may not be in walking distance. For example, I can get my groceries by walking a 5 minute distance, or go to the bank, or even go shopping for clothes or other necessities ( Ross). However if you want to have any type of fun besides watching a movie, you need a car.

Athletics: It is pretty good but compared to big state schools sports are not that big of deal. However, many students attend football games, a mediocre amount of people attend basketball games, and some to soccer games, and some baseball. Other sports i'm not too sure of.

3 College Sophomore

Local Area: There isn't that much stuff to do at all or at least not walking distance. Of course there's the beach and Disneyland but that's basic. I wish APU wasn't so much in its own little bubble and interacted with the outside world more.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Food: There are some options, but not a lot of healthy options and it seems as though they never have fresh quality ingredients. the caf needs to be improved. and there should be more healthy options

4 College Sophomore

Academics: There are many professors that genuinely care for the learning experience of their students. But there are also some that seem like they don't care. Overrall I'd rate the academics as good and cool professors, but everything has negatives...

1 College Sophomore

Greek Life: Well considering we don't have "Greek life" at all, i have to rate it as a 1. I would love to be in a sorority or at least be able to watch a sorority or fraternity and how they function, but our school doesn't have any. oh well.

3 College Sophomore

Administration: I think it's absolutely crazy that according to APU rules even people that are 21+ are not allowed to drink OFF campus -_- but anyway rules are rules, and there are strict rules for drinking, drugs and visitation at APU. I understand that and respect that. The visitation hours can be pretty annoying though because if your male friend is on your hall just a minute after curfew you can get in trouble.

3 College Sophomore

Parking: I don't have a car but I hear people complain about parking a lot. It's often difficult for my roommates to find parking. They hate parking in the garage but a lot of times they have to. I know a lot of people that have gotten a lot of tickets because of the complicated hours of permittable parking.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: The campus is located in a very convenient location. McDonalds is right across the street (college students!) and many of the nearby places have good prices, for example the bbq place and the terriyaki place by McDonalds, there's also more options for fast food like burger king and jack in the box, little ceasars is also close. There's a lot of mexican food places nearby, fast food, vietnamese, chinese, japanese. I guess the only thing lacking would be sit down restaurants? The only one walking distance is Applebee's. but i don't think that's really too much of a problem, I just had to come up with a critique.

4 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: There is always campus safety around campus and on the streets near campus. (Although I'm not sure how well a 5' 4" 100 pound girl will protect me). I personally don't feel weary walking from campus to my apartment at night, although I know many people that do.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: In terms of the dorms, living on campus is great. It wasn't particularly amazing for me since I didn't get along with my roommates too well, but I still know that it is structured pretty well. The RAs seem to really have a passion for the kids, and they really try to build community. The apartments are different, there isn't a lot of community. I would've liked more community but it didn't really bother me that much. I was fine just chillin in my apartment.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: I actually have not lived off campus but I really want to. It is cheaper than living on campus and many of the apartment complexes that are off campus are just as close to campus as on campus housing, so i don't see why not. They are in the same vicinity as on campus apartments and are just as safe.

3 College Sophomore

Diversity: The religious diversity is clearly not too heavy since it is a Christian school however how people express their faith for example, politically, is pretty diverse. I know some people that hold traditional values of the church such as traditional marriage and generally conservative views. However there are a lot of people at APU that are progressive and liberal. Also, I find that APU makes somewhat of an effort to be racially and ethnically diverse, but doesn't do the best job. A lot of my friends of different backgrounds don't always feel very comfortable or even sometimes welcomed on the predominantly white campus. In terms of economic background, it seems as though despite everyone's complaints about tuition, being broke, etc. that most kids come from a fairly financially stable background.

College Junior

Greek Life: We don't have Greek life

3 College Junior

Athletics: School spirit is terrible. But the student involvement is getting better as the year goes on

College Junior

Party Scene: I don't party so I really wouldn't know

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: I come from a rougher part than where I am living now so I'm fine. Another thing that must be taken into consideration is that fact that I'm a male, so I don't have a problem walking at night. It would not be very smart to be walking home from campus if you're a woman.

4 College Junior

Weather: The weather makes going to class better. It is always sunny here

4 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: I love the variety of different places to eat
