4 College Freshman

Athletics: My school has a wonderful sports filled environment. School spirit is great!

5 College Freshman

Majors: I enjoy the experience of on-line and on-campus courses. Instructors are very hands-on with students. The curriculum pushes me to study and work hard (I love a challenge). Assignment workloads are manageable and there are always job opportunites available.

Majors: I have not had an internship , but I do plan on finding one my junior year in 2015. I do have concerns of finding an internship that will give me the entry-level experience needed in the competing health care industry. However, I do have some formal training in the health care industry that will guide me.

Campus Food: Cafeteria food isn't bad. We also have an on-campus Subway that offers excellent sandwiches. Campus event food is always awesome! Menus are always mouth-watering!

3 College Freshman

Weather: Snow and ice sometimes affect campus schedules in the winter.

4 College Freshman

Drug Safety: Personally,I have not seen drugs or alcohol on campus or know of anyone that participates in negative behavior.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Various locations of off-campus dining is located within 5-7 of the the school, some offer student discounts while others don't. There are also major stores in the area as well for purposes of grocery shopping, etc.

4 College Freshman

Technology: The computers are up-to-date and in great condition; printing is always available. Network services are rarely down and the speed is average.

3 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: I attend school in the evening, so most students that I see are working adults or athletic students leaving practice. Overall, the students are well mannered on campus. Due to the school being founded by Catholic Nuns, some students dress casual, laxed (i.e. gym/yoga ), work uniforms, or trendy. The atmosphere on campus is wonderful, the school is always having some kind of campus event in which surrounding communities are often invited to attend.

Scholarships: 1. Apply for shcool admission ahead of time, in case bumps in the road come along.

2. Always apply before the financial aid deadline is due (at least 3-6 months prior).

3. Keep communication open with administrative personnel.

4. Always thank those who have helped with the process!!

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: My experience has been great. I don't live on campus or hang out there much, but as far as my classes I have had a wonderful experience.

3 College Junior

Campus Quality: There are places to hang out and lots of other places for students. I don't hang out on campus much so I don't know how much they are used.

5 College Junior

Local Area: Right in the heart of Kansas City so there is everything you could ever want.

3 College Junior

Diversity: In my experience it seems that most people are accepted for who they are. There doesn't seem to be a lot of friction between students with differing viewpoints.

3 College Junior

Administration: When I was living in the dorm my RA did not really take care of any issues. She basically let everything go so I found that living in the dorm was somewhat difficult.

4 College Junior

Health & Safety: I have never felt unsafe while on campus. If you were to call the safety office there is always someone there to answer questions or check something out for you.

5 College Junior

Scholarships: I have had great experience with scholarships and financial aid. I don't receive anything but transfer scholarships and it was convenient to get it all figured out.

3 College Junior

Weather: It changes a lot depending on the day.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: I don't spend a lot of time going to these places. We are in the heart of Kansas City so there is a lot of choices.

3 College Junior

Athletics: Seems like some sports are better than others. Many students have a lot of school spirit.

4 College Freshman

Local Area: The atmosphere Avila is located in makes a pretty big difference. It's a small school in a big city so whenever you are bored on campus you can drive 5 miles and find a ton of things to do.

2 College Freshman

Weather: Often times here in Kansas City it rains a lot, its always cold, or snowing, Weather changes constantly.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Avila's dorm rooms are typically 3 times as large as any other college dorm rooms.

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: There is no Greek life here at Avila. There is no fraternities or sororities either.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: Being in an area of Kansas City surrounded by rich neighborhoods, there usually is nothing to worry about.
