5 College Sophomore

Local Area: If you like a small (southern) town where people are friendly and personable, you will love Danville. There are things to do here but if a college student is looking for nightlife such as clubbing you will have to drive to the NC border, which is at most 25 minutes away from campus. There are really good restaurants here and some nice shopping centers. Danville is small though, so someone used to a big city atmosphere might find it more boring.

3 College Senior

Local Area: The people around the school and town are pretty down to earth but some people arent all that good to be around.

4 College Junior

Local Area: Very busy area, lots of restaurants and venues.

3 College Freshman

Local Area: Danville, VA – Danville is a small city but it's able to offer lot to students and residents of the city. On the weekends it's nice to go to the movies, a skating rink, shopping, or go out of town to explore other cities. It is mostly known for the City of Churches which there is a church on every other corner. If you get the chance to come stop by Dan Daniel Park to walk along the trail and even try Bubba's that has the best ice cream in town.

5 College Sophomore

Local Area: The environment at Averett is very postive. It is located in a small family community. The cost of living is very reasonable and the community is quite safe. We have several attractive parks. We enjoy a festival in the park every year, along with several other park events.
