4 College Freshman

4 College Freshman

Administration: Most teachers work with you when you need help

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: Stay on their butts about it if you need it

4 College Freshman

Party Scene: It's as fun as you make it.

3 College Freshman

Campus Food: Wednesdays are the best because there is mac and cheese and fried chicken. There is always a salad bar and pizza.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Living on campus really helps you interact with other people and makes you make new friends. I feel that living on a hall is a better chance to have a social life more so than living in a suit or an apartment. They work with you as much as possible through the process and room you with the best person they feel you will get along with.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: I live at home with my parents, so I'm not really sure about the off-campus living near the campus.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: The financial aid process is okay.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: This school isn't very lively. For the amount of tuition they ask for, I was expecting an amazing school but it turns out it's below average.

3 College Junior

Academics: I haven't been taking core classes for long, only in my second core business class now. I am attending the Averetts GPS program (online). So far it has been interesting and I have learned lots of business ethics when running a business.

3 College Sophomore

Majors: I student taught in high school and it transferred over to Averett. I was given a scholarship for it.

5 College Sophomore

Diversity: There are a ton of international students

4 College Sophomore

Majors: You have to have a 3.0 in all education classes to be accepted into the one year master's program

5 College Sophomore

Majors: Yes, you get to student teach in surrounding schools

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Averett was my favorite school out of all the others I visited. Everyone is so friendly and personable. It is expensive but they are very good about giving scholarships.

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: If you graduate from Averett with an education you are guaranteed to be hired in school in the community.

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Professors are concerned about the students' education and there is many opportunities for tutoring if needed.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: Pretty much all of the surround roads around Averett house students. Housing is cheap but most of the building and apartments are older because Averett is in a more historic part of town.

3 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: Most people are athletes, but they are not stuck up and friends with people who aren't athletes. Everyone is seriously friendly at Averett.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Food: Some people really like the Caf but the food is repetitive. You just get used to it after awhile.

3 College Sophomore

Party Scene: Considering Averett is a dry campus, most parties are held off campus but within walking distance. As far as clubs go, you have to drive at most 25 minutes to the North Carolina border where there are two. Danville itself does not have any clubs. Many students go to Greensboro, NC which is 45 minutes away for a bigger city nightlife atmosphere.
