Technology: The computers at Ave Maria University are pretty good. I use my own computer but from what students tell me the computers work good and there speed is also good. The college provides wireless access in every building even in the dorms so students can do their work in their own room.

Technology: The amount of computer labs is very good, the connection is very slow but the availability is great, printing is sometimes a pain and the library is usually the only place that is reliable for printing.

Student Author OverviewWhat's this?

Many, if not most, students at Ave Maria have their own computers, but there is definitely no shortage of computer availability on campus if you don’t have your own. There are two PC labs and a Mac room in the Academic Building, PCs for student use on the first two floors of the library, and four computers in the 24-Hour Reading Room. There is also a computer room on each floor of the dormitories, so there's nothing to worry about in that aspect. Plus, the labs are never so full, so you’ll never find yourself without a computer on which to work.

In addition, the AMU network is pretty reliable. The network very rarely goes down because of an issue; it might happen maybe once a month or less often. And if the network does go down, it usually comes back up within a few hours, so if you’re working on a last-minute research paper, you probably won’t have to worry.
