5 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: It is a very safe campus. Security is always around.

5 College Freshman

Health & Safety: The only major crimes on campus are people stealing each other's bikes. They are usually found soon after they are taken, though, because there are few places to hide a bike on a small campus where everyone knows each other.

Health & Safety: Very safe and secure campus

5 College Freshman

Health & Safety: Once again, this school is in the middle of nowhere. We have campus security on call 24/7, and there are blue boxes all over campus. Our head of campus was a sharpshooter in the armed forces. You can leave your luggage outside the dorms and not worry that it will be stolen. Probably the safest campus at least in the States.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: You always see security on their bikes patrolling campus every where you go. There are posts where you can push a buttonin case of emergency and help will be with you in 5 min or less. There's hardly any crime that goes on campus. No cases of sexual assault. One of these reasons is the way the dorms are set up and their rules regarding girls being in them.

Ave Maria is probably one of the safest campuses in the country. Security patrols campus 24 hours a day to make sure everything is going as it should, and students don't have a problem walking around at night or alone because, in all honesty, the likeliness that something will happen to them is slim to none. There really aren't any unsafe areas on campus, and everything is usually pretty well lit at night. The safeness of Ave Maria has to do with the excellent security, as well as the people here. The University is located in a friendly and safe town, and students can enjoy the benefits of walking wherever they want whenever they please.

As far as student health is concerned, there is a medical clinic on campus. Students will also be given immediate attention in case of an emergency and will be taken to the nearest hospital in Naples. Ave Maria is extremely concerned with its students' well-being, and it provides as many services as possible to ensure the students' safety and health.
