Academics: Our Nursing Program is talked about quite favorably in the community as one of the best. It is quite competitive as well. This fall we will have roughly 300 applicants to the program with only 50 slots to fill. A students GPA is the first thing that the committee will look at when choosing who is to be admitted. The curriculum thus far has been very challenging too. When classes first began, Anatomy & Physiology was my most challenging subject, as classes progressed, Microbiology became the most challenging. I look forward to meeting the challenges of future classes.

Local Area: The community that surrounds the main campus has a healthy relationship with the local community.

Campus Food: I don't eat a whole lot on campus but if I do I mostly eat in the morning or lunch. I like my choices I have on campus but sometimes I feel like its the same kind of stuff. Also if you don't have a meal plan the prices are a little high

3 College Sophomore

Campus Quality: Because I am almost finish with my major I have had most professors already. I really enjoy my classes. There are also excellent advisors

3 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: There is all types of people at Austin Peay. Its close to a base so there so quite of few non-traditional students. I am an athlete so I also spend time with many athletes

5 College Freshman

Scholarships: I feel they would help me on anything that I would need to know in order for my college years be stress free by financial aid

Off-Campus Housing: I believe students should be staying on Campus for more safety and spend less money on rent.

3 College Freshman

Local Area: Meeting all the standards that have been seen in now looking for an a.

4 College Freshman

Diversity: There is a huge diversity of races amongst the students at APSU. Many mingle with each other and often share notes.

3 College Freshman

Weather: Always make sure to check the weather. The Austin Peay website informs students of the weather with a three day advance.

4 College Freshman

Transportation: The Peay shuttle is available and if it is dark outside and late if you ask for the campus police they will give you a ride to your vehicle.

Health & Safety: I have felt very safe on campus. It is open to the public and allows others to venture the campus but police are always around to make sure it is safe. The food court is most always clean.

Weather: It seems to always be raining here. Walking from class to class in rain coming down so hard you can't see 5 feet in front of you can be annoying.

2 College Freshman

Local Area: There are a lot of things to do such as the park down by the river and the mall downtown. Other than that though everyone leaves on the weekends so it's pretty dead.

4 College Freshman

Administration: They are really strict on the midnight curfew. If the opposite sex is in room at 12:01 then you get wrote up.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Quality: some are great, some are horrible. just gotta be careful about who you take classes with.

Majors: I'm enrolled at Austin Peay State University for Biology/Pre-med. I enjoy APSU as a college for academics and student life. But Biology/Pre-med is a hard major because there is a lot of information to learn. All of my professors are extremely qualified and work in the fields they teach. I've had a few professors who are really tough but they do it to help you for medical school. All professors are extremely understanding when it comes to life interfering with school. They've worked with me throughout the course and did one on one instructions. There are plenty of opportunity for internships with research studies and the local hospital and doctor offices. They are also great for recommendations for grad school if you really take the time to build a relationship with them.

Guys & Girls: Almost like high school: cliques.
You have the athletes, the kids who still play with trading cards, the chicks that work out, the chicks that just sit around and critique the guys that stroll by, the regulars, and the artists. I personally keep to myself, but once you get to talk to a classmate it's fairly easy to connect and have friends.

Local Area: Clarksville is fairly small. There really isn't much to do. The mall is played out and all most people do is either party or go to the same club that's been shot at several times. I mean we have hookah and bars and that stuff, but for people who don't get into those things the best option is dinner and a movie. Or, just stay home altogether. If you want an ounce of fun, Nashville, which is an hour away, is the best option.

4 College Sophomore

Majors: There is only one application that you must submit

3 College Junior

Academics: Overall the staff are will to work with you. They love communicating, but you have some programs that are not very good at communicating to their students about grades, due dates, etc.

1 College Junior

Academics: In this department of registration process the workload falls on the students to make sure they are consistently checking he statues of turn in documents, etc.

3 College Junior

Local Area: Safety on campus is not at its best. There is almost a campus alert about individuals doing something. Stores are not surround or close by for students who do not have cars. They are farther out.

2 College Junior

Weather: It is too cold and the weather is not consistent with just one weather type.
