Party Scene: There is nothing to do nightlife wise you have to drive 45 min to nashville.

Athletics: We have wonderful training and workout facilities, including our own trainers, psychologists, and academic advisers. IM sports are pretty huge, too, because anyone can play.

Drug Safety: Drug are not seen on campus but you know that there is some!

Academics: This program has some of the best teachers i have every in countered. My major is homeland security and the professors don't just teach they use things that they have done for examples.

Academics: Not many school offer homeland security as a degree..

Local Area: Great town to live in. But there needs to be other things that college students enjoy doing.

2 Recent Alumnus

Parking: There are not enough parking spots on campus. You end up having to parks pretty far from your classes.

4 Recent Alumnus

Diversity: People are very accepting of sexuality at APSU. I am gay and most of my friends around me know.

Off-Campus Dining: Need thing that are closer to campus and not so far away. But there are good resturants around just not close.

Off-Campus Housing: Great apartment selection around the campus. i would not recommend the Grove. They make everything very difficult!

Guys & Girls: You'll find all different types of people. A lot will dress great, and some never change out of their pajamas. There is a great mix of people here! I personally love it!

Transportation: There's a shuttle that picks up college students at nearby housing and drops them off on campus. Plus the city bus is free with your student ID. Everything on campus is within walking distance. Take about 20 minutes to walk from one side of campus to the other.

Campus Housing: When I lived in Sevier, the room was very tiny and sort of reminded me of a mental hospital (white walls and such). The rules are very strict. Also, I had to share a bedroom. The cost is so high. It would be cheaper to rent an apartment. The housing process was extremely easy though, and it lets you know your roommates well before the beginning of school.

4 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: There are always campus police patrolling all over campus. There are emergency phones that call the police station with a push of a button.

4 College Sophomore

Weather: Walking to class in the blazing sun or cold snow is not very pleasing. However, that is anywhere that you go.

3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: All sororities and fraternities do many volunteer services and are very involved in the university events. However, the costs of being in the sororities/fraternities make the membership not worth it.

4 College Freshman

Academics: The best academic part of Austin Peay is the success coaches which help you throughout college and help you pick classes, stay on your program, and just inform you on everything

3 College Freshman

Weather: So far its only drizzled one day but its been sunny most of the time but I know the 15 min walk to the farthest building which happens to be where all my classes are is going to be miserable in winter
