3 College Junior

Overall Experience: There are plenty of classes to get your basic courses taken care of. There are probably about 25 students per class. The classes aren't bad if you have a great professor

2 College Junior

Campus Resources: There's nothing to do here. It's just a community college

3 College Junior

Online Courses: I prefer to take online classes but there is a lot of "busy" work

2 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: I have had so much trouble getting things done because of the faculty. They've forgot to change certain information so I could register and no one got my private loan processed and no one could help me or give me answers. I'm so tired of this place

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: The workload and curriculum are fine. The facilities are nice

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: There aren't many great professors which makes registration difficult. There may be one awesome professor and the others don't have good ratings so then that one awesome professor is the first to go. This causes you to make the decision to wait another semester to get the great professor or get the bad ones now and potentially fail.

3 College Junior

Career Services: I don't know know anything about it. I don't get involved but since it's a community college I'm guessing it's not great

Student Body: I don't know much about it

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I have only had one experience with a professor at one of the Austin Community college branches, and it was when i went to a class to study to take my TSI test.

4 College Freshman

Student Body: I have not yet had very many opportunities to meet a lot of the students at my school, but the students I have met have been very nice and friendly.

4 College Freshman

Campus Resources: I love the athletic centers that the school provides, though I have not actually been to it yet I have been by it and looked in on everything they offer. The libraries are a good place to get your work done when you are looking for a good quiet place.

3 College Freshman

Tuition & Financial Aid: I am OK with the Tuition cost, but the financial aid is still and on going process, that I am still dealing with at the moment.

College Freshman

Career Services: I have not yet looked in to any post-grad services at this school.

College Freshman

Academic Experience: I have not yet started any of my classes due to the fact that i will be starting in the spring of 2015, but through trying to register for a few classes for the fall, that fail through due to financial aid, it was not a challenge and was quite easy to find and register for the classes that I wanted, and needed.

3 College Freshman

Academic Experience: I am just starting out, so I have to complete a few prerequisite classes before I can apply to get in to the nursing program at Austin Community College.

4 College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: I have been taking online classes and they are very convenient for my schedule as a substitute and a mother.

3 College Sophomore

3 College Sophomore

Online Courses: Didn't have to leave the house.

5 College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: Austin Community College offers a wide range of classes, anywhere between early in the morning to later at night. They even have campus police to escort you to your car at night. They also offer a majority of their classes online as well which is ideal for students with a busy home life or transportation complications.

Student Body: A lot of the students are previously stay-at-home moms or single moms hoping to get a job that pays more than minimum wage to help put food on the table. There are also a lot of high school students looking to get ahead start on their college studies. There are plenty of typical college freshman as well but many of them, like myself, intend to transfer to a four-year university. It's a very diverse school in just about every way, including age. There are even some grandparents going to school. However, you only need to be a resident of Austin, Texas and have a high school diploma or GED (or foreign equivalent) to be entered into the school. Even though it is a community college, there are still a lot of great professors there. The staff is very helpful in making sure you get signed up the the right classes and are staying on-track with you grades. There are also plenty of places to study on-campus and multiple ways to contact professors if needed.
