5 College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: great ease and the counselors are very helpful if you ever run into a problem

5 College Freshman

Campus Resources: Great community college. Really care about helping students take the next step and the professors are awesome

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: The program requirements for the Sonography program are reasonable and cover the necessary basics.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: The professors are helpful and available if you have questions. The online registration can be difficult if the class you need is in high demand.

3 College Freshman

Career Services: The career services aid is open to anyone's personal opinion however I find ACC to focus more on new and fresh students rather than helping current or former students in finding a job. They generally have information about things going on but not how to be successful in them.

3 College Freshman

Academic Experience: Personally I believe ACC could be a little more selective in their professors. As likely to be in any school there are good and bad however I've had more "bad" experience. They have been very set in us knowing they have their doctorate more than getting to know us as students. The processes at ACC can be tedious but rather simple if you know what you're doing. Nearly all their processes are done online.

Campus Resources: When I went to a community college 20 years ago, they did not have a tutoring lab. The lab has made a big difference in my grades and my desire to stay focused on pursuing my goal. I am very grateful for all that ACC offers from the Library, Tutoring Lab, Computer Lab to the assistance in the Counseling. I feel very blessed to have made this decision to pursue my dreams.

4 College Student

Academic Flexibility: The campus is close to home. All the classes I need to take are at this campus. The classes are very flexible to work together with the other classes I am having to take. The experience so far has been awesome. I pretty much stay at campus from morning to night. Them temperature is very cold most of the time. Always have a jacket handy.

Academic Experience: The professors are great well rounded. You have a variety of professors from young to older. Lots of different ethnic, which keeps me versatile. Always willing to help if you ask. The office hours are the best time to approach them. One of the complaints I have is some younger students can be very disrespectful to the professors and most do not say any thing to them. I lose track of concentration while in class with students that are talking or arguing with the professor during class. I feel students today have less respect for there peers, and authority.

3 Recent Alumnus

Academic Experience: really like most of the science prof, they were genuine and really showed their passion for teaching

2 Recent Alumnus

Career Services: not very helpful in working with my schedule, still had to wait in the same lines as the undergrads for classes/registration issues

3 Recent Alumnus

Campus Resources: Nothing flashy, just the necessities to make the school functional

3 Recent Alumnus

Campus Resources: Almost always able to find an open computer in the library

4 Recent Alumnus

Campus Resources: Generally, the teachers are really willing to help you learn if you show a desire to participate and put effort forth. However, I encountered several science prof that barely spoke any English making subjects such as Chemistry even more of a foreign language to me

4 College Sophomore

Career Services: Wonderful! The counselors are great at pointing you in the right direction, help you with resumes and they even have a POFT class that is a career planning class that gives you tools you need to be successful in not only finding a career but finding a career you will be happy in. It also helps you define your skills and even helps you realize skills you never thought you had.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: I have found the program and work load to be very manageable, not easy but manageable. I am a general studies major here and changing to Psychology when I transfer to Southwestern. The study lab has been a very useful tool, one I use often! The library is also a great place for research papers and quiet. The Counselors at ACC are wonderful! If you have questions or concerns, go talk to them, they are there to help!

5 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: The professors at ACC have been more than helpful. They take pride in what they teach and help you become a better student. I have noticed that the more you interact with the professors, the more they give in lectures. I have completed 3 full time semesters at ACC and have had only one professor that was sub-par. She was young and just starting to teach, so I attribute that to her lack of teaching skills. Registration was so easy! You are able to register on line without waiting in line! If you go to your Counselor/Advisor prior to your registering, they can give you a clear idea of what you need to sign up for.

5 College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: I chose ACC because the classes I take can transfer to UT. Also, the times that my classes are at is really convenient for my personal schedule.

4 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: ACC does a good and fair job or granting student financial aid. The process is easy and reliable.

3 College Sophomore

Career Services: The post-grad service at ACC is supportive at helping graduate students finding jobs they desire.

3 College Freshman

Tuition & Financial Aid: I was working full time while taking a math, history and english class. I stayed up late most nights and other days I had to work late just so I can pay for tuition. I had no other help but myself.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: ACC needs to hire more professors that are current in the subjects they teach. There are more than a few dinosaurs who just stand up there talking about their glory days 30 years ago.

They need to stay relevant in their subjects and actually TEACH what is current. I feel like this semester I've really been unlucky to have two of these teachers. All they want is a paycheck. Notes are outdated & they are not the least bit helpful. Excuse me, but I thought a teacher is employed to actually teach, answer questions, & help students learn!

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: Up until this semester I've had no complaints. However this semester I have two professors who don't really care if students learn or not. They sit up there talking about everything EXCEPT what we're supposed to learn. They are both very impatient.

They have also both been retired about 30 years & their material is not relevant to what is needed in today's scripting classes. SO frustrating.

ACC get some teachers that will teach & want to help the student learn instead of just standing up there listening to themselves and drawing a paycheck.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: I started the program feeling unsure about it, and it reflected on my grades. I am more confident with my choice now so I feel fine. It is a tough program but I recommend students to transfer and not to complete the nursing program at ACC. Only because Texas is requiring more education for future nurses.

5 College Junior

Student Body: I see all sorts of people from young to old. Most have jobs on top of school or are from universities nearby. Every campus is quite diverse and I enjoy the experience.
