Academic Experience: My major is Mechanical Engineering, so most of my classes are filled with other aspiring engineers. The workload is heavy and the curriculum is intense. I've found that most people in this field are especially eager to learn how the world around them works.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I'm getting more than my money's worth by attending A.C.C. They have accredited classes and programs at a fraction of the cost, when compared to a University. Also, they have payment plans available to students who need them.

Campus Quality: A.C.C. offers many resources to students to help get them where they want to be. They are not only accommodating, but go above and beyond to meet the needs of students with disabilities. The staff is dedicated to helping students thrive in the real world.

Student Body: The student body at A.C.C. is wonderfully diverse. Although there is no typical type of student, I can say that the students are mostly open-minded and hard-working people who are ready to learn. When having lunch in the Cafe, I usually can overhear many conversations, happening in several different languages. I love having the opportunity to meet people from so many different cultures, who have goals similar to my own.

Campus Resources: There are student centers, libraries, and a lot of campus activities for students to do.

3 College Freshman

Campus Resources: They usually have wireless internet for all students in all campuses and some libraries have iPads for checkout.

3 College Freshman

Tuition & Financial Aid: The financial aid people don't seem too keen to help explain anything to students.

3 College Freshman

Campus Quality: The student life is the most outgoing program in the entirety of the school. But they host very nice "parties" and events.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: The registration process isn't the greatest since mo one tells you anything or what you are missing until the due date. The work load is pretty standard, but if you miss study for a day, it's not a big deal. There aren't a whole lot of programs offered. It is geared more towards the medical field and the teachers seem to try to push you towards working in the medical field.

2 College Junior

Academic Experience: The school has nothing for my program. I am the only one that really has my major and like i mentioned earlier the school tries to get all of their students, decided or not, to switch to studying the medical field. There are no internships available tgrough the school either.

3 College Junior

Career Services: There's a lot pf people so it's hard to get a hold of the job prospects, but on the other hand the school does a great job with grading and the teachers help as much as they can.

Campus Resources: I use the library Monday through Friday every week! The learning lab can be a little loud but gets people motivated to work harder at their homework. The Student Centers are always giving out some sort of food and offering advice to those who ask for it.

4 College Freshman

Campus Resources: Sometimes due to weather the network can be a little slow but over all everything works just fine.

4 College Freshman

Campus Quality: The courtyard is very enticing and the café is amazing. I like the police officers that help out with minor and major issues. The faculty and staff are very kind and patient.

5 College Freshman

Student Body: The Student Life at our school is always creating some sort of fun event and they ALWAYS have food, which is something I love! They help with the motivation of people continuing their education and not feeling pressured as much about it.

5 College Freshman

Academic Experience: They offer many courses here that if I had the money and time I would be in them! I love the music courses and though I struggle with algebra, the professors are amazing. They are very patient!

4 College Freshman

Online Courses: I appreciate the flexibility that the online courses provide for me so that I may continue my full time hours at work.

Tuition & Financial Aid: In state tuition end up being a little more than $1,300 a semester, not including books. I learn something new every day here and to me, two years for less than $5,500 is a steal! Especially considering that's about how much one semester at UT costs and as long as you're careful, all of the credits will transfer, it is absolutely worth the money. The financial aid office is super helpful, just be sure to get in there as early as you possibly can, or the money will be gone.

Academic Flexibility: Everyone at ACC is very willing to work with its students. Not only that, but they offer different options for each semester-- there are 2 8-week sessions, 1 12-week session, and 1 16-week session every Spring and Fall. Not only that, but class times range from early in the morning to well into the evening.

Campus Quality: Austin Community College has many different locations around Austin, and each has something different to offer. The Rio Grande location is near UT and downtown, so may be more accessible for people studying at the University as well as the community college. The Eastview campus is an important location for students studying nursing and other medical fields. Some are farther north, so it's easier to avoid traffic on Mopac for those who live too far away to ride a bike or drive through town. Each campus is in a different stage of its life: some are new, some are old, some are in between. I really like this about ACC.

Academic Experience: Because science lectures are not taught in a huge lecture hall, students can do the lab section with their professor, not a T.A. It's easy to get a relationship with your professor because class sizes tend to be fairly small-- I've never had a class with more than 35 or 40 students.

Academic Experience: I find being a biology major to be challenging, but in a good way. The professors are always involved in labs and the tests are never easy. To get my core credits I also have to take courses in things like social sciences and fine arts, which gives me a great balance of things to be thinking about, and the professors at ACC never fail to keep a subject interesting, in my opinion.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Even though Austin Community College is a transfer college, there is a lot that ACC offers to those who are just getting their associate degree

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: Even though the classes get really quickly fills up and it's hard some times to get the class I wanted to take.

The study options are good because there is a tuitions after classes and we get to go there and get teachers help. Overall it's great experience.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: I am doing physical therapist and it's a really great way to start up my career and I really appreciate the help of the counselors who help me through the financial aid and choose what I have to do to success.
