Tuition & Financial Aid: Tuition is inexpensive compared to major colleges. Still hard to pay bills and for classes though. I attend college full time and work 32 hours a week to pay for classes. Financial aid is straight forward and advisers are there to help with the process. payment plans are available but you have to pay half of your tuition as a down payment. I believe that is too much for the first payment.

Campus Resources: Every Austin Community College has several resources on campus. Each have financial aid office, advising office, career service office. Most have a recreational center, and all have student lobbies and libraries. Campus activities are posted all around campus and a weekly email is sent. Some campuses are old but they all have everything a student needs to accomplish their goals.

Campus Resources: Computer network is easily accessible as are all computer labs. Printing on campus is 15 sheets a day. Which is a lot compared to some other schools. 10 cents for each sheet over 15. I never bring my personal computer. Labs are easy to find and there is always one open during school hours. The library is always in the mail bld as well and has plenty of computers.

Career Services: Job opportunities are posted all over the buildings. There is also a career services office not only in the main bld of the campus but in the Electronics bld just for the Electronic students. Jobs are updated regularly and emails are sent out at least once a month.

Overall Experience: The staff at Austin Community College is top notch. They are better than the four year University I went to. The advising counselors, tutors and professors all have one goal. That goal is for every student to succeed. They understand different learning abilities and that every student is different.

Academic Flexibility: I recently transferred from a private university to Austin Community College. Credits weren't transferred because several of the classes they made student's take at the private university are irrelevant. But, ACC did everything they could to take most of them.

5 College Junior

Campus Quality: The labs are amazing in the Electronic bld at the Riverside campus. There is a tutor there everyday and someone is always willing to help you. Even though some of the technology isn't the best, the helpfulness of the tutors/professors overcome that.

Student Body: Most of the people in my classes are great. We all have a goal and help each other to obtain that goal. Labs are set up specifically to make you work with others. It's never awkward and everyone is very friendly no matter race, gender, age, sexual orientation, or disabilities one might have. Diversity at Austin Community College is great. The college is accepting of all current students and future students.

Academic Experience: Austin Community College at Riverside has a great Electronics Dept. They have one building set up for all electronic majors. Equipment is up to date and professors are there to help you succeed. My specific program deals with a lot of hands on activities. Which is great because I will be working with hands on skills daily in future. The workload is heavy but, if you keep on task you will succeed. The curriculum is based on the students excelling. Every week in the Electronics building new internships/jobs are posted. ACC has also set up there own electronics website where jobs are listed.
