Local Area: If you really are concerned with these events take a 7$ train ride to chicago.

Local Area: There aren't many community events outside the campus grounds at all, and some of the larger shopping centers are a considerable distance away.

Local Area: I'm an Aurora native, so I'm a bit biased. The Aurora area is familiar and I like it. For attractions/activities, there is a free zoo in Aurora (Philip's Park Zoo), the Chicago Premium Outlet Mall, RiverEdge Park, the Brookfield Zoo nearby, SportsZone (with mini golf and go-karts), many forest preserves, Six Flags just over an hour away, Chicago about 45 minutes away, downtown Naperville, Luigi's (laser tag, arcade) a few blocks from the campus, Brunswick Zone (bowling, laser tag, arcade), Starved Rock State Park (waterfalls!) about an hour and a half away, the Fox Valley Westfield Mall, and others places. There are a lot of Latino businesses with great authentic food. There are also numerous thrift shops nearby (which I consider a staple), and nearby Aldi and Big Lots grocery stores to help keep the grocery bill low. If you drive five miles in any direction you'll find the same chain stores like Walmart, Best Buy, Chile's, Panera, etc.

Local Area: There have been complaints from the locals that have led to restrictive policies.

3 College Sophomore

Local Area: Not much to do in the town, you'd have to go to the neighboring schools/cities, to find entertainment.
