Health & Safety: People are very aware that sexual assault is a serious issue, although not a very common issue on campus. However, there are no real facilities available where someone could go if they were assaulted, such as a counselor who is specifically trained in dealing with sexual assault. They could talk about the issue to a roommate or professor, but they are not specifically trained in dealing with these issues. This is why a proposal was made to open a sexual health center on campus, although we do not know if it went through or not.

Health & Safety: Personally, I feel safe on this campus, but sexual assault can be prevalent with the number of emails I received this year alone. I completely trust the campus security to do their job and do it competently but each student should take precautions regardless. Alcohol, drugs, and greek life-related incidents are probably the most to blame. I personally know one individual who was sexually assaulted.

Health & Safety: There are some thefts, but any reported incident or even suspicious activity is sent out to all the students to keep everyone informed. There are the blue light emergency stands at random places on campus, and Public Safety is always patrolling and quickly available.

Health & Safety: Public safety circles campus and ACES is available for transport at night.

Health & Safety: I think the safety on campus is great, I do feel safe to walk alone back to my room if I had to at night. But the security could use some work. I am regularly receiving emails about stolen items taken from one of the workout facilities on campus. I constantly see public safety cars driving through campus, but I think some areas should be attended better. In Pepsico, maybe they could always have a desk worker to help reduce thieves from snooping through others belongings. I personally feel safe on campus, but I do not feel safe enough to leave my belongings unattended in certain areas.
