Perfect if you want to experience everything in college: being a student-athlete, studying abroad, joining Greek life, internships, attention from professors, small or large class sizes, very qualified staff
I believe Augustana to have a beautiful, close-knit community that respects each other. The housing is kind of expensive depending on which dorm you live in. I would recommend Erickson, Westerlin and Swanson to check out. There are tennis courts, fitness centers, and sand volleyball courts around the dorms which are very nice. Housing process is very simple and understanding as well.
The two most updated dorms re about a 20 minute walk from the academic buildings and get unnecessary renovations every year. The other three are inside the main campus but have no air conditioning, no space, and are very restrictive to noise, visitors, and space. The apartments offered on campus are cramped and cost too much for what you get. If you want to move from your dorm room to another one for any reason, there is a fee.
Though I live in Erickson, one of the nicer dorms, I am as far form my classes I can be, classes are on one end of campus and my dorm is on the other.
Depending on where you live, the water can be shut off or is extremely cold/low water pressure. One time the boiler broke and there was no heat during an extreme cold snap. It's not uncommon to have to wear coats and mittens inside your dorm the way it is, let alone a boiler breaking.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
