4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: The school actually helps seniors to find off campus housing, so there are lots of options.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: There's a decent amount of places to eat that are relatively cheap.

4 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: Campus security does a good job and step in when needed.

5 College Sophomore

Greek Life: Greek life plays a very positive role on campus socialization.

3 College Sophomore

Administration: Campus administrators will step in when necessary.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: Though I live in Erickson, one of the nicer dorms, I am as far form my classes I can be, classes are on one end of campus and my dorm is on the other.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Food: There are only two real dining options on campus, the CSL, which is open most of the day, the snack shop which is only open for lunch on weekday.. It is often hard to eat healthy at either of these options, though there is always plenty of unhealthy food.

Off-Campus Dining: I've had nothing but good experiences with off-campus dining. La Rancherita is absolutely amazing and really reasonably priced, CoolBeanz is the cutest coffeehouse probably ever and actually also has incredible food (try the grilled cheese with pesto), and Whiteys has great ice cream and I think 10% off your order with your student ID. Everything around here is definitely walking accessible, but it is convenient to have a car/friends with cars. There are a lot of options within a short drive as well; Osaka buffet is super good and pretty decently priced, and there's a Steak & Shake nearby. Everything is fantastic.

Administration: I know that everyone is held to a high standard here with regards to academics, safety, and integrity. There is a lot of awareness about safety, and action is always taken right away were anything to happen. However, I also know that a lot of less-serious things go unnoticed, and I'm a little salty about the quality of some of the CAs in the dorms. People get away with stuff here, but it's not tooo often and never anything dangerous/serious.

Scholarships: The only reason why I'd describe my experience as being a hassle was because I had to spend a lot of time pestering the wonderful people working in the offices here to try to get more money/options since I'm super poor. They were fantastic about it all, though, and were great with communicating effectively and helping me with whatever they could.

Campus Food: I think the food here is honestly a lot better quality than what you'd find at most other colleges. However, a lot of the time I feel like I'm paying for way more than what I actually use because while the buffet style is good for having options, I don't actually eat all that much in the CSL. I'm also not a huge fan of the way all the other food options are kind of being edged out so that the CSL is kind of becoming the only place to eat. Similarly, to be honest, the food in the CC might be equated to the kind of greasy stuff you might get at a concession stand, but I'd be lying if I said I don't choose to eat there over the CSL at least a couple times a week. It might not be the best for you, but at least it's reliably good. Sometimes you can go to the CSL and have a bunch of stuff that's really good, but other times you go in there and don't want to eat anything. The good thing about that, though, is that the sandwich station is pretty reliable, as are the cereal and waffles by the breakfast area. My biggest complaint about anything dining hall related is that you can't use swipes for other people and that the swipes just disappear into oblivion if unused.

Campus Housing: Depending on where you live, the water can be shut off or is extremely cold/low water pressure. One time the boiler broke and there was no heat during an extreme cold snap. It's not uncommon to have to wear coats and mittens inside your dorm the way it is, let alone a boiler breaking.

Campus Food: it is easy to always find something i want to eat

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: I live in one of the oldest buildings yet i still love it. everyone gets really close and it feels like a family

4 College Sophomore

Athletics: I personally love how supportive the whole campus is of varsity and IM sports it makes the campus more fun.

2 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: I feel like most the houses around campus are not that great and for what the landlords charge is just too much with what we already pay for tuition.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: Honestly there is so many options around campus to go eat and most give student discounts. Also they are available more times than the csl, delivery is very flexible and convenient too.

3 College Sophomore

Administration: I feel like the campus does an ok job at listening to students complaints and trying to meet them half way so they are satisfied. I think that teachers here tend to think they do no wrong and don't really listen to students well as good as administration does.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: I find they staff are very helpful, but one thing that really frustrates me is the tuition has gone up every year and no one told me that before I committed to this college and now I feel stuck. I feel there should be a lock-in policy with tuition costs, because tuition goes up but you don't recieve anymore aid

Party Scene: For a small school and not being in greek life I have to say the party life here is pretty good. I've been to bigger college parties and honestly I like the ones at Augie better. Especially being on sports teams you can always find a party to go to.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Food: From when I visited my senior year of high school to my sophomore year here at Augie now the food has improved a lot. I wish there was less greasy options and more hearty options like steamed veggies and grilled fish and chicken more. Mainly I feel this way because most of our campus is filled with athletes, we like to fill up on food but not greasy food. All around the dinning area is very nice but some changes to the menu would really boost the value.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: Some of the dorm buildings are a little out of date but the college has put in a lot of money into redo-ing the older dorm buildings. As for TLA's and apartments I would say they are some of the nicest I've seen at most colleges. The campus janitorial staff are always on top of fixing things and keeping the living areas clean. The campus security is always available to the dorms too constantly driving by to make sure no one suspicious is trying to look in windows or get in the dorms.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: The off campus houses are all fairly nice they just fill up fast and then it is hard to find somewhere to leave at a convenience.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There are lots of options if you have a car, but if you can only walk there it is very limited unless you are ordering pizza.

3 College Freshman

Administration: Somethings they are way to strict on, and other things you can't believe you got away with just a small fine. It depends on the crime.
