Academics: Classes are pretty hard, but at least you know that you are getting a quality education. The teachers push you to the max, they want you to work the hardest. Treat every class as if it is the only class that you are taking. If you fall behind or don't understand, do not hesitate to reach out to someone/anyone for help.

Diversity: Auburn is not exactly the most diverse place in the world, but diversity is increasing dramatically. As diversity increases it is made noticeable how accepting the Auburn family is of other people. They are not harsh. Auburn actually hosts many events to make sure that everyone and anyone feels accepted.

Drug Safety: A few students use light drugs like Marijuana, but no one is using hardcore drugs. No one goes to class high or drunk.

Health & Safety: Everyone around is extremely trustworthy. I truly believe that we are a family. On the rare occasions where i walk home alone I feel very safe. Their are many amenities around for those that do not like to walk home alone.

Campus Housing: I lived in The Hill which is usually imagined as the worst place on earth. But honestly I would not have liked to live anywhere else.Everyone is very nice. The housing authority does a great job of choosing roommates. The Hill had a lot of room in the rooms. My dorm even have a communal kitchen in the basement that was very clean. The workers were very polite and cared about the well being of students.

Greek Life: From what I have seen Greek life is amazing. It creates amazing connections. You can always find someone you know and you create a great network of brothers and sisters. They are incredibly supportive of each other.

Athletics: School spirit is a beneficial part of attending Auburn. I was positive that I would not become one of those crazed fans screaming WAR EAGLE! You can't help but become a sports fan. All sporting events are free to students with the exception of football games, and it is well worth it to take advantage of the opportunity to attend.

Overall Experience: I love my school! It's the best all around.

Greek Life: They are great organizations that serve purpose.

Athletics: Auburn Athletics is the best by far. They are supportive to ALL sports, not just one. We're a family who strive to be the best we can be!

Overall Experience: I currently study Poultry Science within the College of Agriculture. My experience has been nothing but amazing. Auburn University is known to be an Agriculture school. The College of Agriculture is one big family. There are many opportunities that keep the students and faculty involved with each other. That's what makes this experience for me so wonderful. Since my freshman year, I have always been welcomed and given so many wonderful opportunities to better my experience in learning my major. The department of Poultry Science is especially outstanding for their interactions with the students. Everyone knows everybody and we all work to together to help feed the world one chicken at a time!

Overall Experience: The campus is beautiful, the classes arent to difficult if you go to them and do the work for them

Overall Experience: At least in comparison to Alabama, students earn more

Health & Safety: Alerts get sent out about troubling news

Greek Life: A lot of non-greeks view Greeks as terrible people

Athletics: The University and the City supports the teams.

Overall Experience: The open style campus is really nice and beautiful

Greek Life: Not for me. Seems like the kind of thing you'd want to get involved with if you just can't let go of how socializing worked in grade school. Except now you'd have to pay for your friends.

4 College Senior

Health & Safety: Compared to other universities, pretty good. Most incidents on campus are alcohol- or drug-related by far, with burglary/theft and sex offenses following. Common sense is usually enough to keep you safe when on campus.

3 College Senior

Athletics: Depends on the sport, though Auburn is usually competing for a championship in *something*.

Overall Experience: The campus is nice, though a bit bland. The town is small and isolated - about 45 mins from the nearest "city", Montgomery. Depending on the curriculum, required courses spend too much time reviewing material from prerequisite courses, possibly because too many students with a failing knowledge are passed. Fewer courses could be required to get a degree if basic comprehension were consistently a baseline for passing, which would in turn save students money. That being said, it is still pretty tough to get an A. In terms of demographics, this university is painfully homogeneous: for every non-white student, there are about 9 or 10 white students. The culture of Southern conservatism is only slightly more implicit than elsewhere in small-town Alabama. So, if you're a white, heterosexual, cisgender Christian, then you'll be comfortably challenged by the low level of diversity (both of demographics and of thought) at Auburn. If you're not all of those things, however, then you run the risk of being scorned for something as simple as walking down the street. I can personally attest to that.

Campus Housing: My experience was neither terrible nor great.

Overall, students are very happy to be in Auburn. They love the people around them and the experiences that they get to have.

College is what you make of it. If you sit at home and don't do anything, then you won't enjoy yourself no matter where you go. With all the options you have offered to you at Auburn, you have to try to not have a good time. And with a student body that is so happy to be here, it's also hard not to get swept up in the excitement. As always, it's a good idea to visit a college or university before making a final decision. Make sure you're as happy and comfortable as you can possibly be.
