Scholarships: It came really fast and at the right time i really needed it

Campus Food: The food is awesome. I eat on campus everyday instead of spending my money off campus

Campus Housing: I love the campus housing. I feel right at home here at Auburn University. The dorms are really close to the academic buildings and they are like mini apartments.

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: I was able to receive financial aid, but not enough to cover all expenses. The main issue was the lack of understanding going into applying for scholarships and financial aid.

Campus Food: There are a variety of choices with many dining halls that are fairly priced.

Off-Campus Housing: Off campus is the way to go and there are plenty of options to fit your budget

Off-Campus Dining: Auburn has a lot of great food options off campus

4 College Freshman

Administration: They really aren't that strict as long as you aren't stupid

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: Financial Aid is confusing for everyone but they were very helpful

Party Scene: Auburn is the perfect balance between a lot of parties and people who still care about academics

Campus Food: I love all the food and all of the food options, but I feel like the prices are too high for what you get sometimes.

Overall Experience: Wouldn't change a thing about Auburn (except for parking. Who doesn't need more parking?).

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I love Auburn and I can't imagine not being here.

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: The alumni network is great! I highly suggest getting to know alumni in your major.

Greek Life: Only 24% of the student body is Greek, so if you're not in a sorority or fraternity its not the end of the world. Rush was difficult for me, but I'm glad I did it and my sorority is great. There's always a sister/brother in your class and it's a great way to meet new people. Greek life is very involved on campus and there's always philanthropy events to go to.

Athletics: If you don't like sports, Auburn isn't the school for you.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: Very limited guest parking in most apartment complexes. The closer to campus, the more expensive your rent is. It's better to get a mile or two away from campus and take the transit to class.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: Just your average restaurants found in any city. TigerTown To-Go is nice during the weekdays if you don't have a car or are too lazy to drive and get food.

4 College Sophomore

Administration: Profs need to understand that we have lives outside of class and don't have time to read 50 pages in one night.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Food: The food is expensive and you have to get the $990 meal plan. You get very tired of the food choices very quickly.

Campus Housing: Cheapest options: Hill, Quad, and Cambridge. Nicest: Village and South Donahue. Cambridge is located right off campus, so it's not the closet to class, but it's not too bad from what I've heard. I've lived in both the Hill and the Village. The Village has better dining options and more spacious and clean/updated, but it is more pricey. The Hill is the cheapest and full of freshmen, so you're bound to meet a friend or two.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: There are a lot of options, but it's all very expensive, especially the closer you get to campus or less roommates you have .

Overall ExperienceWhat's this?

View student contributors

Overall, students are very happy to be in Auburn. They love the people around them and the experiences that they get to have.

College is what you make of it. If you sit at home and don't do anything, then you won't enjoy yourself no matter where you go. With all the options you have offered to you at Auburn, you have to try to not have a good time. And with a student body that is so happy to be here, it's also hard not to get swept up in the excitement. As always, it's a good idea to visit a college or university before making a final decision. Make sure you're as happy and comfortable as you can possibly be.
