Administration: I like that they are strict. Keeps us safe

Campus Food: Food is great. Can be expensive

Administration: I don't know much about the administration but it's honor code is pretty strict and their attendance rules can be pretty strict too. For example they will deduct points from your final grade if u miss a certain amount of classes. We're in college if someone doesn't want to come to class then let them and they will fail.

Off-Campus Housing: Well I don't know. I stayed on campus my freshman year but I am staying off campus this upcoming year so I will get back to you on that.

Party Scene: It's really good and you have multiple options. There are lots of house parties and the bars are open every night and fraternity row has some cool ones too.

Off-Campus Dining: It's okay there is a lot of variety but the only thing that stays open late is McDonald's and sonic. It's a reasonable cost which is great cause majority of us are broke college students.

Scholarships: To get most of their big scholarships you have to have above a 3.0 and other high qualifications. the process to apply for scholarships is pretty easy which is great. Only thing I don't like is if u lose your general scholarship there is no appeal process available.

Campus Food: The wellness kitchen is the best place to eat. It's very healthy and it's all you can eat. The bad thing is if your not an athlete then it's expensive. lunch or breakfast is reasonable since it's all you can eat but dinner is a little ridiculous. Still it's worth it. The village dining is really good also to and reasonably priced. The rest of the dining is like eating fast food and sooner or later you will get tired of it.

Campus Housing: It's great because it Allows you to interact with people more easier than you probably would living off campus. The cheaper dorms in my opinion aren't that great because it's four people to one small bathroom and the room itself is not that big. The more expensive dorms are nice because u have your own room and bathroom or sharing it with just one other person. Living on campus is still great because it's more convenient and allows you to socialize more.

Scholarships: This past year everything was covered, but housing and food is not covered for the rest of time at the school, and m family portion just doubled. My parents are in position to pay for any of this. I may double up on courses just so I can graduate early and save $17,000.

Off-Campus Housing: There have been some safety concerns lately about certain areas. The cost is better than on campus if you can find roommates, but most of the fun is on-campus.

3 College Freshman

Party Scene: I don't like all of the drunk people, they make me uncomfortable. I don't like leaving my dorm on party nights because of the disorderly drunks.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: It's good for when you inevitably run out of dining dollars.

Administration: This school has a major alcohol problem. People come into the dorms drunk on school nights and act disorderly. Also, girls are constantly purposefully leaving their tigercards and then pounding on the doors to be let in. They are rude and disrespectful, and there needs to be a policy in place to deal with them.

Campus Food: A meal shouldn't cost $10-$16. Also, what are we supposed to eat on weekends. Throughout the year Terrell (the dining option closest for me) had its hours reduced until it was eliminated entirely. If you want us to eat there, it has to be open. I wish I could put $500 on meal plan and then buy groceries for the rest of my food.

Campus Housing: Although housing is expensive and the quality differs depending on the dorm, I wouldn't trade the atmosphere for the world. People are all great, especially the staff.

Off-Campus Housing: I'm living off campus, and I love it. You can make your home more your own so it feels like home. The prices aren't terrible, you pay for what you get.

Administration: The administration is strict, but it is for the students well being. They want Auburn students to be successful so they enforce to rules necessary to make that happen.

Overall ExperienceWhat's this?

View student contributors

Overall, students are very happy to be in Auburn. They love the people around them and the experiences that they get to have.

College is what you make of it. If you sit at home and don't do anything, then you won't enjoy yourself no matter where you go. With all the options you have offered to you at Auburn, you have to try to not have a good time. And with a student body that is so happy to be here, it's also hard not to get swept up in the excitement. As always, it's a good idea to visit a college or university before making a final decision. Make sure you're as happy and comfortable as you can possibly be.
