Greek Life: I am not in greek life, but if you don't want to be in it, its easily ignored

Athletics: The recreation center is amazing. You have to pay for classes, but if you attend every class its worth.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: The classes are challenging, which is good for the real world.

Overall Experience: Classes are generally large throughout your first year or two, but start to dwindle as you become more major specific in your studies. The class sizes are not at all intimidating like you would think. Professors do in fact care about you as a student as long as you make an effort to meet with them.

Greek Life: As a non-Greek student, I cannot answer to how well the Greek life is on our campus, but many people are a part of Greek life and you will find Greek students almost everywhere you go.

Drug Safety: Always a swap or social to go to on Thursday nights. On Friday nights are when all the frats are, if you are a girl you get into any party free, if you are a guy you either have to be invited or pay to get in. Auburn cops do not monitor these parties and do not care for them so they just leave them alone. Each party usually get its own security though.

Health & Safety: I feel pretty safe walking to one part of campus to another at night. I do it all the time. We have a ton of emergency lights located throughout campus so if something were to happen you can hit the light and keep running and a cop will come and find out what is going on. We also have a safe bus so if you do not feel comfortable walking you call them and they will take you anywhere on campus and a few off campus locations.

About sexually assault, I haven't heard of any cases yet but I know that Auburn does a green dot program where if a sexually assault case has been made, they will put a green dot on the building doors so everyone is informed on how serious this campus is on this issue.

Campus Housing: I got lucky and was put in the village which is the newest dorms on campus. The village is 4 individual bedrooms, 2 bath, a kitchen and living room so basically an apartment. In the village you have your own mini convince store and a dining hall and it's only a 5 minutes walk to the rec center and the stadium and a 2 min walk to the arena. Walking to main campus takes about 10-15 minutes though. In the village they also have their own mail room and tiger transit stop. The hill and the quad are the older dorms but compared to other colleges they are still nice. Each one you get to share a bathroom with either 1 other 3 other people. The quad is right in central campus so you can get up at 7:55 and make it to your 8am. The hill is a little bit more of a walk. Cambridge is north campus behind the Auburn Hotel. Cambridge used to to be the old auburn hotel so each dorm is like a hotel room. South Donahue is the nicest dorms on campus but you won't get in unless you are a student athlete or somehow just got extremely lucky.

Greek Life: I am apart of Greek life on campus and I honestly love it. Going from not knowing anyone at all to having a whole group of people to talk to is great. Being apart of Greek life has helped being able to have people you know all around campus. All the sororities and fraternities get alone with another and create socials and swaps. Since greek life is pretty big on campus, if you are not apart of it, it is definitely harder to meet people.

Overall Experience: So far it has been an amazing experience. Auburn might seem like a small town at first but there are so many places to go off campus. On football Saturdays everyone connects as a family and are out tailgaiting and if we win the game we all go roll the oaks on Toomers Corner.

Campus Housing: My room is in a great location and that was my priority. It is an older dorm but well maintained. Some of the newer dorms have larger rooms and bathrooms if that is a priority for your housing.

Greek Life: I am involved and just went through Rush. I am very happy with the outcome and excited about being a part of something that is bigger than myself. The commitment to the greater community seems genuine. Rush was a stressful process so I was glad that it took place before classes began the following week.

Athletics: Auburn is a Southeastern Conference School where sports are very much at the center of students on campus. Some professors seem to be engaged with this aspect of Auburn as well but as passionately.

Overall Experience: After 3 weeks, I am very happy with my decision to attend Auburn. Most students are warm and friendly and take pride in academic achievement. Professors are younger than imagined.

Overall Experience: I won't change where I pick to spend my college years for the world.

Overall, students are very happy to be in Auburn. They love the people around them and the experiences that they get to have.

College is what you make of it. If you sit at home and don't do anything, then you won't enjoy yourself no matter where you go. With all the options you have offered to you at Auburn, you have to try to not have a good time. And with a student body that is so happy to be here, it's also hard not to get swept up in the excitement. As always, it's a good idea to visit a college or university before making a final decision. Make sure you're as happy and comfortable as you can possibly be.
