Off-Campus Dining: Just down the road from the campus is Eastchase Shopping Center. There's many different restaurants located there like Texas Road House, Ruby Tuesdays, and Five Guys. There is also many fast food areas too. Some include Wendy's, Chick-fil-a, and Boardwalk. If you like coffee there's a Starbucks right at the entrance. The prices vary from $7 to $25 depending on the place that you go. It's very nice and easy to get to. Plus, there's clothing shops too!

Diversity: AUM is a really conservative campus. The faculty allows students to be diverse in their different backgrounds, but the students are pretty close-minded. If it doesn't have anything to do with conservative christianity, it's pretty much frowned upon by students. The Gay-Straight Alliance put up posters around campus a few semesters ago and a lot of them got ripped down. I would think adults would have a lot more open mindedness and tolerance as far as other religious/political beliefs and sexual orientation goes, but it's unfortunate they don't.

Campus Quality: AUM just opened the Wellness Center, which is pretty cool. The dorms are nice and they are in the process of building new dorms. The parking lots were just redone. The cafeteria is being redone. I only wish the school would focus more of their attention on the Fine Arts department, because it could really use some upgrades. People pretty much hang out wherever. There are plenty of hangout spaces and study areas.

Campus Quality: Wellness Center – AUM just go a new wellness center and it's pretty awesome if you're into working out.

Academics: The different types of majors at my school is A big problem for me because they do not have vet classes that are useful.

3 Recent Alumnus

Athletics: The athletics are not a big deal at my school. I never see athletes walking around

3 Recent Alumnus

Academics: Teachers Help – I am pleased with how much my teachers have helped me over the past semester. I think I will do well in my future classes.

4 College Junior

Drug Safety: Great Atmosphere-No Tolerance – Drinking and the use of drugs on campus is prohibited. And enforced by the on-campus police force.

3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: Getting Better – Greek life is slowly getting stronger & you can expect to see a lot more of it on campus within the next year! The Greek numbers are growing & the involvement is getting much better!

4 College Sophomore

Campus Quality: Pretty Good – The Cafe is newly remodeled & so is the student center, where you can go to study or go use the brand new computer lab! AUM in the past couple years has been getting a lot mor traditions and really breaking off from Auburn to become its own school! The Student hangouts are pretty good because you can find anywhere to hang out on campus.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Quality: Getting Better – The facilities are doing great beacause AUM is currently remodelings their campus. Campus life is also getting a lot better now that there is someone new in charge of it & we do a better homecoming week & Have our own mascot & everything. Greek life as well is getting bigger & stronger than ever! Expect to see more of them as well!

2 College Sophomore

Scholarships: I'm from out of state & was not really given many good oppurtunies to get scholarships, some where based on ACT scores & they didnt want my SATS. I cannot say how is it for instate students though.

3 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: The boys I hang out with are really well behaved, but a lot of fun! They're pretty good looking as well! So I don't have many complicants, but the group I hang out with doesnt count up for much of the school population. A lot of good looking southern boys, but you get the B- for the older guys that go to school there or some of them that are the quiet type that just don't really bother with anyone.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: Helpful and Organized – it is pretty tough to actually get free money and grants. they really offer you loans and things you have to pay back..

3 College Sophomore

Parking: Convenient at Times.. they recently built alot more parking spots...so far during the summer its been alot easier to find a parking spot than it was in the spring

3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: They Don't Really Dominate AUM – You really only notice them at certain times of the year...during activities..

3 Recent Alumnus

Campus Quality: Improving All the Time – Changes are in progress. So the campus facilities are getting better and better.

5 Recent Alumnus

Academics: Excellent Instruction – The academics are world class. Be prepared to be challenged.

3 Recent Alumnus

Administration: Watch Where You Park – Parking is fairly abundant. Just DO NOT park in reserved spots, or risk the wrath.

2 Recent Alumnus

Party Scene: Not Much of a Nightife – This city is not really a "college town", and although campus life is growing, it still remains largely a commuter campus.

5 College Sophomore

Parking: Aum is a very small campus and I believe I have counted maybe three parking lots. All parking lots are equipped with ample space for students. All lots are within decent walking distance to all campus buildings. There are plenty of spaces for handicapped individuals. There is hardly ever a situation where one could not find a parking spot.

4 College Sophomore

Administration: Very Laid Back – The punishment policies at AUM are strict in a way that is fair,I think. Not to many students are reprimanded or thrown out because of conduct issues.Academics are just like in every other school, you have to keep you GPA at a suitable average in order to stay enrolled. The social aspect of policy is about as normal as one could ask for, as long as you abide by the rules laid out in the student handbook,no drugs,no weapons,no alcohol, the basics, all is well.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Great Experience – AUM is an amazing college. You get all the experience and learning you would from a larger university, but with a small one on one feel to it.If you plan on putting a social life before hard work and studies then perhaps AUM is not the college for you. On the other hand if you want to focus on bettering your life through education and also happen to enjoy the laid back atmosphere that AUM has to offer then you are just like me and AUM is the perfect school for you.The campus is lovely, the staff are as friendly and knowledgeable as you could ever want them to be,and the student life is simply superbe.

4 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: Very Easily Non-Existent – AUM has always attracted a certain type of student. In saying that I mean the students that come to AUM tend to be more focused on their work and studies as opposes to any type of recreational drugs. On the alcohol side of things, well it is a college and you do tend to drink and party when you attend colleges, but AUM is fairly strict on their policies as far as that goes. There is not an exuberant amount of peer pressure, again that goes back to who you hang out with and what choices you make and that type of sense should have been instilled in you long before you entered college. To sum it all up from my view of the student body we have absolutely no problems with drugs nor alcohol.

4 College Junior

Campus Quality: New Wellness Center – The new Wellness Center on campus is gonna be great. We'll have an Olympic size swimming pool, a rock wall, tons of workout equipment, and an indoor jogging track. There's also a nice walking trail on campus, an art gallery in Goodwyn Hall, a full-size gym for sporting events, indoor and outdoor soccer fields, softball and baseball fields, tennis courts, etc. There's also a Papa Johns Express and a Starbucks on campus. The buildings are a bit old, but they're currently under renovation, so they should be looking good, soon!
