5 College Junior

Majors: As a junior I am 100% satisfied with my major. I might work for a local magazine, but the school helps set up jobs so who knows what i'll find! The college offers a few English programs so i can really concentrate on what I want to do, this is really helpful because it gives English majors more experience where they need it. I am a little worried about finding a job, but that is not because of the school.

Majors: I LOVE being an English Major at Assumption College. The professors are wonderful and the classes are interesting. We always have guest speakers and are able to talk to authors and people working in the field.

4 College Senior

Majors: The process of getting into my program was pretty simple. They have a high acceptance rate. As long as you have decent grades you should have no problem getting in a program.

Majors: A typical internship is basically low pay and maybe long hours, but its a foot in the door. I don't plan on taking an internship, hopefully just a career change. I have not had any professional training positions.

4 College Senior

Majors: Currently I am the process of a career change. I have a Bachelors degree in Biology, but I want to change careers to the Accounting field due to more job opportunities. I am happy with the program because it works perfectly with my schedule. If I had to do it all over again I definately would.

Overall Experience: I have enjoyed my time at Assumption so far! Give the opportunity to do it again, I would still choose Assumption!

Academics: The professor are great! Very helpful and interested in you as an individual. All are required to have at least 6 office hours each week. I like that the curriculum has general education requirements. I personally learned a lot from them and found that I was interested in some topics that I did not think would interest me! Registering for courses can be frustrating, but I there is really no way around that. There are so many resources to help students with academics. There are office hours, workshops on study skills and organization, programs for freshmen, an excellent peer tutoring center, and students often form study groups.

Academics: I am a biology major. I was undecided when I came to Assumption, but I could not be happier about my choice to be a biology major! I love my classes and the professors are great! They are so knowledgeable and helpful! It is the newest and best building on campus and the best! The labs are interesting and have updated equipment.

Weather: Like any place in New England, the winters are cold. Buildings and grounds does a great job of clearing the sidewalks promptly when it snows. The campus is not huge, so you do not have to walk too far in the cold between classes.

5 College Senior

Technology: Every classroom I have been in has enough Mac computers.

4 College Senior

Transportation: The campus offers a shuttle service to downtown which makes everything much easier.

3 College Senior

Campus Housing: The campus is nicely maintained and the school offers more advance technology than colleges of similar price.

5 College Sophomore

Majors: A Great Sociology and Psychology Program – I came to Assumption for their Sociology program so that I could concentrate in Criminology. I really enjoy my classes. The professors are awesome, and they try to limit cost of required texts. The psychology department is very nice as well, and some of the classes overlap between both my majors, making it a little easier to get through.

3 College Sophomore

Technology: Enough to Get by – There are computers only on the first floor of the library, which are usually almost all taken. There's a long line for the printers before classes every morning. Some of the classrooms have computers though, as well as other rooms in the IT building so they're easily worked into classroom learning.

3 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: Little Variation – Everyone is basically the same. Almost all of the students are athletes, which limits partying and streamlines everyone to fit a particular mold. Girls pretty much wear and do the same thing as one another, and it seems the same for guys.

4 College Sophomore

Technology: Mac and Pc – Enough computers around campus and in both Mac and Pc

4 College Sophomore

Academics: Wide variety of classes/curriculum. Professors go above and beyond. Small town community feel.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Quality: i fairly like the facilities , they new and its not to big but its mobile , i like using it .

2 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: The School – because the school is closed in , it makes you feel like your not really connected to the school.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: i don't live on campus but i do have a lot of friends who lives on campus.

4 College Sophomore

Administration: Its a Little to Much – Everyone who comes in have to deal with the guard at the gate , and sometimes i have trouble getting into my own school i paid for , which is a no no .

3 College Sophomore

Party Scene: They do a good job trying to do stuff on campus so people do not go off campus to try to find something to do .

4 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: Pretty Good but Upperclassmen Dorms Rock – The dorms are pretty good. Kind of small but probably an average dorm room size. Salisbury (quad) is definitely more of a party dorm. Des is pretty good. Hanrahan is the honors dorm and although it is on a hill, we still have a lot of fun and plenty of chances to get together with other students. As the years go on, the housing options get a lot better. As long as you are willing to go to different events then you will have plenty of chances to meet people.

5 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: A Lot of Options – There are a lot of places that will deliver or that you can go to. I have heard that Salisbury Street has an awesome selection. There is even a day where you can go and test all of the different foods.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Food: On Campus Is OK – The dining hall is not that good but improving. Off campus, the restaurants are excellent and deliver! Charlie's (on campus) is really good but kind of expensive.
