Academic Experience: Great virtual learning experience so far, as I complete my 3rd class at Ashford.

Student Body: A variety of students are in the virtual classrooms, including new students (fresh out of high school) and more experienced learners who are returning to school after being in the workforce for awhile.

Campus Resources: There are online seminars offered to virtual students, which is great! I can attend anything from dressing for success to how to write an interview. There are also online writing resources, a library and other tools offered to students.

Campus Resources: The online program is very convenient for working adults. The flexibility allows the students to work around their personal schedules. The instructors encourage interaction between students, within this virtual atmosphere. The technology provided allows students to attend via their smartphone or tablets. Overall a really good experience.

Online Courses: I love it! I was nervous because I am not very tech-savvy, however; it is the best decision I ever made. I love my courses, my advisor (is wonderful now) and my Instructors have been great! I think peer-to-peer interaction is convenient, plentiful and thorough. The workload is at my convenience (with deadlines of course) and fun. I love my assignments, the school format and the on-line experience.

Academic Flexibility: I love the school, it's convenient format and thorough Instructors. The only trouble I have had is with previous financial aid advisors and disbursements.

3 College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: I have had a wonderful experience enrolling over the phone with Ashford University. The crew there made sure that I got all of my documents that I needed in on time.

Online Courses: Online courses are very different from a traditional classroom setting. I have taken one class on campus and during this time I had a certain time to be there in the classroom vs. online you may work at your own time and pace. I was able to stop during the time I was taking online courses to feed my kids, cook, clean, do laundry, and even run errands. Online courses are very convenient for stay at home moms and working moms. I am in the process of starting at Ashford University but I will run out of financial aid funds before I can finish my degree I am a single mom of three boys.

Academic Experience: I love the way the classes are set up. I take one class every 5 weeks, so this allows me to work full time and still get an education. I like the curriculum except for algebra, but that is because it scares me and do not want to make a failing grade.

Academic Experience: It was easy to get started and the initial person that got me started was very very helpful and personable.

Campus Resources: Unfortunately I have failed to realize anything unique regarding my school. I do like when the instructor responds quickly.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Upon filling out the application to attend ashford university a lot of paper work was required. Which I completly understood and had no problem providing. My financial aid process could've went a lot smoother if communication was better from different departments. Basically I turned in all of the paper work on time as requested but it was still be requested and that caused my finacial aid to not process as quickly. I realized that one department did not post the paperwork on some website so that's what happened. As soon as that was realized the issues was resolved in a timely manner.

Online Courses: Online courses are easy to navigate and promote active participation from all students.

Campus Resources: There are many resources for everyone. Tutoring, learning centers, counseling services just to name a few.

Student Body: My school is mostly younger people with some working parents. The working people and parents want to focus on learning while the others look at school as a social hour.

Academic Experience: I never thought I could train myself and get the help I needed to train myself to be diciplined with my time management to complete these courses. I never knew the information from these courses would intrigue me the way they have done. I have learned so much and shared so much with a group of online people I will never meet in life but it still feels like family. It's amazing!

Online Courses: LOVE IT!! LOVE IT!!! LOVE IT!!! It fits in with my daily work schedule and my schedule as a single parent. The courses are every five weeks and although sometimes it may get overwhelming; I believe with the discipline of time management, it gets much better.

Ashford University provides a great learning experience in a very unique environment. If you ask online Ashford students if they're happy with their choice to attend school there, most would probably say that they would do it all over again if they could, mainly because of its flexibility and convenience with schedules. The instructors are helpful and respond to questions in a timely manner, usually within one to two days. The instructors are helpful and encourage students to constantly look for better answers. Online classes are very convenient to students with complicated schedules; students can complete assignments at their own leisure, yet within the time constraints of deadlines. Most students find no problem completing their assignments.

A drawback of being an online student is that you don't have the opportunity to really check out the organizations or physical resources Ashford offers. However, the University does have an online library that students can go into from the Student Portal. The library is easy to use, and students can usually find most of the sources they need when writing a research paper. Even though it isn't your typical college interaction, the instructors and classmates are friendly and very helpful when you have questions. Students are able to help each other in unique ways. In one case, a student didn't have her book for class yet, and another student was able to scan a copy of the assignment and e-mail an attachment to her. Classmates are also helpful in post discussions and give each other timely advice and wisdom.
