My overall experience at Ashford University has been one that over exceeded my expectations. The staff members and other online classmates that I have come in contact with have all presented themselves in mature and professional manner in accordance with the university's "code of conduct".

My favorite experience at Ashford was when I finally became aware of its Student Access and Wellness Services of which I was enabled to obtain special accommodations as a student with a physical disability. Because of these accommodations I was granted extended time for discussion board and assignment submissions. It is my opinion that services such as Student Access and Wellness along with the "code of conduct", the online program, and the friendly/professional staff are just a few of the things that make my school unique.

If I had to do it all over again, I would defiantly choose Ashford University as my place for higher learning because of the flexibility of its learning program, my name has been placed on the Deans list for the 2014 (3.25) academic year, I have received an invitation to become a member of Delta Alpha Pi International Honor Society, and I am a pending graduate with only three credits left before completion!

I would have graded this as the best, however I faxed paperwork that one of my advisers claimed to never have received. I had to re fax the documentation and when I did so I included my previous fax confirmation proving that I had already sent it and that the fax had went through perfectly fine. Long story short because of that adviser I had to wait an extra month for financial aid and am currently not going to receive that financial aid until November 17th 2015 and I am in my third class already.

Otherwise the help I received through enrollment and my actual one on one student adviser who helps me pick classes and guides me through the process of getting my degree is great. All other staff members I have dealt with were kind, friendly and gave me excellent student services. Coming from the previous college I was transferring over to Ashford because they personally had ZERO support that was friendly or helpful to their students. Ashford proved to be the complete opposite and I am very glad I switched over. Plus I go to one class at a time and as a mother of three kids who homeschools this is amazing for me!

As a returning student after many years, I had doubts as to whether I could get into the learning process again, and most definitely doubts about the online learning process. My Enrollment Services Advisor talked me through every aspect of online learning, including the tutorial, and addressed every one of my concerns. We had weekly (sometimes more) chats to discuss frustrations or difficulties with the whole computer process, and made sure I knew what I was doing and how to proceed. We became friends through it all!
