Academic Experience: For the most part, all of my instructors were a pleasure to work with. My issue was with the advising staff. At times I did not feel encouraged or valued. In my time at Ashford, I had at least a dozen advisors.

Academic Experience: I am a History major and I have already completed my History courses. I really enjoyed taking these classes with Ashford because all of the instructors were very knowledgeable. The History workload is very intensive but manageable.

Student Body: The student body is mostly full of people that have familes and full-time jobs along with attending school. I believe I attend a school with lot of hard workers that for the best everyday. They work hard for their families and themselves.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I believe my institution did a great job at providing me with the right information to complete my financial aid process and I with that said I started successfully. They helped me when I didn't understand and when I needed help all I had to do was call and ask.

Academic Experience: LOVE the environmental classes related to my sustainability degree, alas they are business degrees so humdrum of business is added in. love the economic class types as well.

Academic Flexibility: The curriculum is set however my advisor works well with me in moving things around where I want them. I've been crammed with business classes and asked for a swap for my other major , Sustainable Enterprise Management, and she scheduled an environmetal class next to give my brain a break!

Academic Experience: With online learning Ashford makes going to school while working full time and a mom possible! The curriculum of 5 weeks per class is perfect and once in the rhythm I find week five comes quickly! Registration was easy and am happy I finally jumped back into the world of education.

3 College Senior

Academic Experience: I have really learned a lot in the courses. I really enjoy the process of how the online classrooms are being held. I also enjoy the online library and tutoring options.

3 College Senior

Academic Experience: There have been a few professors I felt did not actually help me learn. I hardly ever hear from my academic counselors or get help in the financial departments.

Online Courses: When I first started out the first year at Ashford University, it was a bit challenging but later I started to get the feel of the school, the Instructors, students, staff and importantly my courses it was coming all clear to me, it is not bad after all! I got this far and I'm not about to turn around in about 2 years I'll graduating with a B.A. and I only now have 51 more credits to go. That's not too bad considering it got me this far even though it was rough at the start.
Thank you,

Academic Experience: Pursuing on getting my B.A. in Human Health Services as a Medical Social Worker. The college courses that are required for me to take and for this type of degree and career goal is already set up by my student advisor which in fact I chose in the order they are receive first as the most important ones. The rest will be towards the end and I'm thinking they are easy. What I need to add and say is that math is a requirement I must take at the end. Otherwise I, feel the ball is in my court and I'm happy this college is working with me diligently all the time!
Thank you,

Academic Flexibility: I chose this school is because I heard it was a great school and what is nice to, is I can go to school right online at my very own convenience no matter the time of day or night at work, home, on trips or just about anywhere I go. I been here at Ashford University for 2-1/2 years and I can see why it's a great school, everyone is so supportive, the office staff, student advisor, financial aide advisor, the college course Instructors including my classmates are so supportive as well and great to work with. My previous college I went to before this school, they sent over my credits within the week that was great as well. I guess everything kind of worked in my favor all together!
Thank you,

Campus Resources: There is nothing that is not available to me online. I can honestly say that this University online is the same as stepping on campus. People are available immediately.

5 College Senior

Student Body: Everyone is very cordial. There are many debates depending on the course but the diversity in each class balances everything out. There are rules against abuse towards political, religious or sexual views. Ashford is very clear about respecting peers

Ashford University provides a great learning experience in a very unique environment. If you ask online Ashford students if they're happy with their choice to attend school there, most would probably say that they would do it all over again if they could, mainly because of its flexibility and convenience with schedules. The instructors are helpful and respond to questions in a timely manner, usually within one to two days. The instructors are helpful and encourage students to constantly look for better answers. Online classes are very convenient to students with complicated schedules; students can complete assignments at their own leisure, yet within the time constraints of deadlines. Most students find no problem completing their assignments.

A drawback of being an online student is that you don't have the opportunity to really check out the organizations or physical resources Ashford offers. However, the University does have an online library that students can go into from the Student Portal. The library is easy to use, and students can usually find most of the sources they need when writing a research paper. Even though it isn't your typical college interaction, the instructors and classmates are friendly and very helpful when you have questions. Students are able to help each other in unique ways. In one case, a student didn't have her book for class yet, and another student was able to scan a copy of the assignment and e-mail an attachment to her. Classmates are also helpful in post discussions and give each other timely advice and wisdom.
