Online Courses: Its still work the reason I don't see it as being flexible you still have to constantly be working on assignments.

3 College Junior

Student Body: Its mostly people that choose to go back that I have read.

Academic Flexibility: Everything has been great so far. Having online courses makes my life so much more flexible to do other required tasks.

Academic Experience: Everyone has been so helpful with everything. My admissions representative gave me all the information and paper work I needed to enroll. She was very nice and still calls to check to see if everything is okay and if I have any questions about school. The lady in financial aid was very informative. And my instructor is very helpful and communicates well to me.

Online Courses: I just started school. I'm still getting used to my online courses and navigating around the website. It is much easier than I thought and my instructor is very helpful. I can always ask her any question and she responds very quickly. I make sure I ready all material assigned and participate in every assignment.

Academic Experience: I love everything about my online learning experience for my school. There is even forms for you to fill out if you feel like you have been unfairly graded or treated in a class. There are all sorts of webinars and other job resources. I believe I made the right choice in online learning schools.

Campus Resources: I am an online learner at Ashford and there is nothing that I do not have access to as a student of the school. There are times when the classes are down for fixing bugs, but that is to be expected and it normally does not affect classes at all. All of my books are online and I love the online Ashford Library and Writing Centers.

Academic Experience: Everything is as expected it was going to be. I also love the fact that I get to double major with a specialization and obtain triple minors all online! The teachers are great, the administrators are wonderful, the financial aide staff is so helpful and the admissions counselors are wonderful.

Student Body: I am an online learner so I am sure the students are different at the school but we have guidelines we have to follow online. There are a few people who try to ruin it for everyone else, but Ashford has a very strict reporting and discipline policy.

Academic Experience: The professors are just there, since it is an online classroom, you really just teach yourself. The curriculum is set by the class not the instructor.

Tuition & Financial Aid: My student adviser has been very helpful. Do to a professor that shouldn't be teaching, I dropped a class but it was to late to get a refund. so now I owe a balance. My only suggestion is to watch who they have as professors. For the most part I have had a good experience with the school and professors and my adviser.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I think that online classes is very expensive but they are convenient.

Academic Experience: I have had some great instructors. Some of their feedback was great and a couple just tell you to refer to the grading rubric. I wish that they would have told me what I was doing wrong.

Academic Experience: I am an elementary education major and my classes are somewhat relevant to what my degree is. Some of the classes are beneficial and some are not. The work is fairly easy.

Campus Resources: I do not stay on campus. I am currently taking my classes online. I like they school but wish the tuition was a little cheaper.

5 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: Ashford has an excellent on-line service. The classes are very practical and have been very useful to my everyday life, even before graduation. The professors are very knowledgeable about the subjects they teach and they are very accessible if you needed to speak with them. The school week is made very manageable with the calendars, syllabus, and weekly tasks made up for every class so the student knows when things are due. This has been a great learning experience.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Attending Ashford, I don't feel that they offer enough financial aid to cover on-line schooling. I enjoy the classes and the education I have been receiving, but the student loan does not cover the tuition cost. Ashford sells you on the Pell Grant, but since I am returning to school as a working adult, I do not qualify for the grant. It would be better if the admissions department explained the options in a more realistic way, than trying to sell you on the school.

Tuition & Financial Aid: It is great, but not quite excellent. Though the school is very helpful, the cost of it is worth while, however, I on such a low income am barely affording the cost of the books needed for school.

5 College Junior

Campus Resources: The advisers have been terrific, the financial aid office is very helpful and are never rude, and the school offers many forms of help and aid to their students.

5 College Junior

Campus Resources: The campus and online libraries are filled with great resources. Campus Activities are never in a shortage, and the campus in general is quite nice.

5 College Junior

Campus Resources: The school keeps everything well maintained and taken care of.

2 College Senior

Tuition & Financial Aid: Its okay. I wish they offered scholarships for their online students.

Ashford University provides a great learning experience in a very unique environment. If you ask online Ashford students if they're happy with their choice to attend school there, most would probably say that they would do it all over again if they could, mainly because of its flexibility and convenience with schedules. The instructors are helpful and respond to questions in a timely manner, usually within one to two days. The instructors are helpful and encourage students to constantly look for better answers. Online classes are very convenient to students with complicated schedules; students can complete assignments at their own leisure, yet within the time constraints of deadlines. Most students find no problem completing their assignments.

A drawback of being an online student is that you don't have the opportunity to really check out the organizations or physical resources Ashford offers. However, the University does have an online library that students can go into from the Student Portal. The library is easy to use, and students can usually find most of the sources they need when writing a research paper. Even though it isn't your typical college interaction, the instructors and classmates are friendly and very helpful when you have questions. Students are able to help each other in unique ways. In one case, a student didn't have her book for class yet, and another student was able to scan a copy of the assignment and e-mail an attachment to her. Classmates are also helpful in post discussions and give each other timely advice and wisdom.
