Tuition & Financial Aid: I do think that the tuition is a little high for the education that they are providing. I think that It is worth it because you cannot put a price tag on your education.

Online Courses: I have had a great experience attending Ashford's online courses because of the convenience. I think that it is great that I can do my school work in the comfort of my own home and can get my school work done at my own pace.

Academic Experience: Overall I am satisfied with the academic experience here at Ashford University. I think that the professor do a good job in the amount of time that they are with us during the time span of five weeks for each class. I have always had teachers contact me back in a timely manner when I need something from them or would like to discuss a grade/assignment.

Student Body: At my school there is no average student because there are students all over the world that attend here. There is no specific student because there is a broad spectrum of diversity. I love that this school is available online because people that are serving in the military can attend college and complete their degree while serving our country.

Student Body: AU has a large variety of students. I have taken classes with people my own age (22) and some that are younger. Most of the students are older than I am, but the age range is incredible. And everyone is from different places, with different backgrounds. They are all working towards different goals.

Academic Flexibility: AU has a decent number of general education requirements that each student must take. Each major has its own requirements, too of course. Once you get into electives though, its game on! You can select any elective that you want as long as the course doesn't have a prerequisite that you haven't completed. Changing majors is pretty easy too. It took all of four days for my major to change when I decided to do it. And that includes the wait period after I submitted the single piece of paper for it!

Online Courses: I love my online courses! At first, I didn't know if I would like it. It is better for those that need to maintain a full-time job while continuing their education. Also, worrying about commuting is nonexistent. Interactions with other students can be strictly limited to the classroom, if that is what you prefer.

Ashford University provides a great learning experience in a very unique environment. If you ask online Ashford students if they're happy with their choice to attend school there, most would probably say that they would do it all over again if they could, mainly because of its flexibility and convenience with schedules. The instructors are helpful and respond to questions in a timely manner, usually within one to two days. The instructors are helpful and encourage students to constantly look for better answers. Online classes are very convenient to students with complicated schedules; students can complete assignments at their own leisure, yet within the time constraints of deadlines. Most students find no problem completing their assignments.

A drawback of being an online student is that you don't have the opportunity to really check out the organizations or physical resources Ashford offers. However, the University does have an online library that students can go into from the Student Portal. The library is easy to use, and students can usually find most of the sources they need when writing a research paper. Even though it isn't your typical college interaction, the instructors and classmates are friendly and very helpful when you have questions. Students are able to help each other in unique ways. In one case, a student didn't have her book for class yet, and another student was able to scan a copy of the assignment and e-mail an attachment to her. Classmates are also helpful in post discussions and give each other timely advice and wisdom.
