4 College Junior

Online Courses: Once I learned how to manage my assignments, tests and papers and the time, I increased my grade point and continued to stay focused on the subject and keep ahead a week.

4 College Junior

Online Courses: Ability to Attend Class Anytime – I love the fact that I can take classes whenever I want. If I can't sleep, I can attend class. I can start my assignemnts ahead of time and complete early.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: All the classes that you have to take are related to your major. For your electives, you pick the classes that you want. You can opt for a dual major or add a minor with your electives.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Tuition is a little high. Glad I receive enough financial aid to cover it.

3 College Junior

Student Body: Many people I have encountered online are in the military or currently working. There is little to no interaction outside of class.

4 College Freshman

Campus Resources: I am an online student and every resource in the student portal is always
accessable, unless their is a maintaince schedule and their very good about giving you a notice of maintaince.

5 College Freshman

Academic Experience: I attending AU to get my degree in Healthcare Business and Administration. Since I been attending, I like the way the courses are scheduled because you basically learn to understand the world and behaviors of yourself and people. I really enjoy the way AU have every class to just really flow with the next scheduled course.

5 College Freshman

Student Body: I have been at AU going on two years and I have enjoyed every bit. I enjoy reading the learning material because as the world grow every day you should always want to learn the new and old history, information, and technology. I am an online student and I the flexiablity of the scheduling and how I can maintain having a full-time job, taking care of my 4 children, and completing school on my on schedule and meeting goals at the same time. As I read some post about AU, I have noticed that the online envoriment is much better then the campus life.

5 College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: I can come and go as I please, and still meet my requirements.

3 College Freshman

Tuition & Financial Aid: The tuition is kind of high, when you consider they donor offer any other grants, or help you find other available monies.

3 College Freshman

Tuition & Financial Aid: The tuition is very inexpensive. It is easy to get scholarships through the school and getting good grades is definitely easy. The financial aid office doesn't always keep it's students informed on how much money they will be taking from the government and they are always late on getting back to students who have questions. The amount I am paying for school should not add up to the extremely easy cirriculum from the school. The tuition should be lower due to how easy the College is.

3 College Senior

Campus Resources: I am an online student, the online resources at Ashford University are very helpful.

4 College Freshman

Academic Experience: Overall, the ciriculum is extremely easy. Professors care about your grades which is great and they inform you if you should and could, be doing better in their class. There is hardly ever any homework in classes.

4 College Freshman

Student Body: There is a lot of diversity at Ashford which is new to me. I like the diversity a lot but the student body is very boring. They don't participate in school activities or go to sporting events.

4 College Freshman

Campus Resources: The library is very old but is somwhat up to date. Campus Activities are some like you would see in High School and can be very boring. Sports activites are fun but students aren't always engaged in games.

3 College Freshman

Campus Resources: The computer network is always speedy. It can sometimes be a hassle logging into the network after not using a laptop or computer for over an hour. Printing on campus can also be a hassle expecially if the printers are out of ink and student workers don't care about how the machines are working. The wireless networks are "okay" in dorm rooms and can be tricky if trying to connect ot WIFI through a cell phone.

2 College Freshman

Campus Resources: Although the technology is brand new, the campus is extremely old. The feel of the school is like being at a Boarding School and not at an actual College. It is also across the street from a cemetary. There is no school spirit and staff members of the school are rude. For example: while away for Spring Break, a student recieved a parking ticket from campus security when she had a sticker on her car stating that the car was allowed to be parked on campus over break.

Campus Resources: Strong recommendations from students and professional body.

4 College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: so far everyone has been very helpful in finace and class selction

2 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: I had a wonderful Instructor who remained supportive and encouraging throughout the class and continued to allow and enable me every opportunity to succeed with minimal impact and adverse effect from my overstressed situation. Alas, I was unable to pull it off, letting myself down as well as his belief in me, and did not complete any of the final week's work - two discussions with responses and a final paper. I am hoping to be able to repeat the class [on my own dime], replace the grade, and expunge the failure. However, t have not reached the end of the crisis in order to address the problem..

Online Courses: Despite the absence of a traditional college classroom, the online classroom is still rewarding. Students have ample opportunity to engage in discussion with each other as well as the professor. And most importantly, students can get their school work done on their own time, 24 hours a day.

4 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: Getting enrolled and transferring credits that were even 15 years old was hassle-free. My financial adviser and counselor has worked with me in getting the classes I want set up. They worked to get my financial aid started and send reminders when additional information is needed such as making sure my FAFSA is filled out in time.

4 College Sophomore

Online Courses: Taking online courses was very scary for because it wasn't the "traditional" way and I had never experienced it before, but the registration process was so quick and easy, I didn't even realize I had done it, walked through my portal and ready to start my first class. A year and a half later and I'm still on track. Love the online experience!!!

5 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: I have never really had a problem with the portal or classrooms. Sometimes being timed out can be a hassle, especially when doing research, but I understand its for security and safety purposes.

Ashford University provides a great learning experience in a very unique environment. If you ask online Ashford students if they're happy with their choice to attend school there, most would probably say that they would do it all over again if they could, mainly because of its flexibility and convenience with schedules. The instructors are helpful and respond to questions in a timely manner, usually within one to two days. The instructors are helpful and encourage students to constantly look for better answers. Online classes are very convenient to students with complicated schedules; students can complete assignments at their own leisure, yet within the time constraints of deadlines. Most students find no problem completing their assignments.

A drawback of being an online student is that you don't have the opportunity to really check out the organizations or physical resources Ashford offers. However, the University does have an online library that students can go into from the Student Portal. The library is easy to use, and students can usually find most of the sources they need when writing a research paper. Even though it isn't your typical college interaction, the instructors and classmates are friendly and very helpful when you have questions. Students are able to help each other in unique ways. In one case, a student didn't have her book for class yet, and another student was able to scan a copy of the assignment and e-mail an attachment to her. Classmates are also helpful in post discussions and give each other timely advice and wisdom.
