Academic Experience: I am going for Bachelor of Arts degree. I already have 2 A.A.'s and when I transferred, they told me I could transfer up to 90 units, but they only did 63 units and made me do a lot of classes that were not necessary. Plus, they made me re-take a class I had already taken, and I dropped out of the class when I realized that I had already taken it; and they made me take it again! Waste of money, and waste of my time!

Last class I had a horrible teacher, who had like 14 students drop the class, because they were worried about their GPA's, and the other remaining 10 students; this teacher flunked us all! Not a good on-line teacher. Never want another of her classes.

Academic Experience: The 5 week classes go by fast if they stick to the right curriculum. Last class horrible, but most often they are okay and they go by quickly.

Overall Experience: On-line classes are inherently more difficult. You have to do almost everything by e-mail in the classroom, unless you have an assignment that entails a group discussion, and a group effort. It is harder to deal with assignments, and ask questions. The teachers are not always helpful. They sometimes add to the confusion, rather than clear it up. But, overall, it has been good and the 5 week classes go by fast.

Student Body: No, problem with the students. Like them all. They are a great help at times when I need it, and have called, e-mailed and talked to them at times.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Robert has been great in the financial office at helping me with problems encountered in college. Feel Ashford University is doing a good job, and the fees are reasonable.

Overall Experience: I had a great first experience at Ashford because my admission counselor really cared about my education. My school is unique because it does provide the option for students to go strictly online, which helps in my situation. However, I believe that not all of the staff fully cares about my education or for me personally like my admission counselor did. They also seem to be after money since they are making me pay for a class I failed due to technical issues that I tried to resolve but their staff was not responsive. I am not sure if I would attend Ashford again because the staff does not seem to be as helpful as they should be.

Academic Experience: Our student advisors mostly choose the classes we need to take so the registration process is very simple for us. The professors are usually very helpful, but it depends on the type of person they are. The workload is not overbearing. I am not aware of study options associated with the school.

Online Courses: I actually enjoy Ashford's classroom experience. Everything is easy to understand and find and it is really simple. The instructor manages to respond to our discussion posts and the students have the ability to do so as well. Students can also talk to each other in a chat room called the Ashford Café. The only poor thing about the online classes is the help of technical support when needed.

Academic Flexibility: My experience at Ashford University has slowly become an unpleasant one. When I first started at Ashford University my admission counselor was great. She explained everything I needed to get my credits transferred and enrolled and it was such an easy process. She called me to check up on me all the time during my first month at Ashford to make sure all my classes were going as planned. She still continues to call me from time to time to ask if I have any questions or concerns. Now, I am just going to Ashford to finish my associates' and then hopefully can find another school to continue my Bachelors' in Early Childhood Education. I attend Ashford online and I had failed a class because I was having technical issues and reached out to my instructor, student advisor, and technical support and no one got back to me- although technical support claimed they sent me an e-mail, and e-mail I never received. My student advisor still has not reached out to me for a month after the situation took place and I requested a new student advisor- who is also unhelpful. I wound up failing the class and now have to pay Ashford monthly for a class I failed due to issues with their classroom- which I find unfair.

Overall Experience: My overall experience at school so far is way beyond what I expected it to be. I never went to college let alone doing it online but now that I have started I tell myself I should have started it along time ago. I would choose going to my school over and over again I am getting my bachelors degree but have decided to get my masters immediately afterwards I love my school!

Campus Quality: I don't have the unique experience of on campus settings but I have heard lots of excellent things about the campus experience that I have realized if I lived in California I would be going to the campus instead of online

Online Courses: I absolutely love each of my online courses and I think I learn something new with each one. I prefer online class more than I do a traditional classroom experience. doing my degree online is very flexible with my everyday schedule

Ashford University provides a great learning experience in a very unique environment. If you ask online Ashford students if they're happy with their choice to attend school there, most would probably say that they would do it all over again if they could, mainly because of its flexibility and convenience with schedules. The instructors are helpful and respond to questions in a timely manner, usually within one to two days. The instructors are helpful and encourage students to constantly look for better answers. Online classes are very convenient to students with complicated schedules; students can complete assignments at their own leisure, yet within the time constraints of deadlines. Most students find no problem completing their assignments.

A drawback of being an online student is that you don't have the opportunity to really check out the organizations or physical resources Ashford offers. However, the University does have an online library that students can go into from the Student Portal. The library is easy to use, and students can usually find most of the sources they need when writing a research paper. Even though it isn't your typical college interaction, the instructors and classmates are friendly and very helpful when you have questions. Students are able to help each other in unique ways. In one case, a student didn't have her book for class yet, and another student was able to scan a copy of the assignment and e-mail an attachment to her. Classmates are also helpful in post discussions and give each other timely advice and wisdom.
