Tuition & Financial Aid: I can see that my school is expanding to offer more useful services to online students, such as career services and live interaction options for certain classes. However I don't see how an online school can cost just as much or more for classes that are pretty basic. They are 5 weeks long and accelerated. My tuition at a brick and mortar school was almost the same price and it included on campus activities, the upkeep up campus buildings and employing all ranges of staff and faculty, not to mention room and board and I still had room for things like work study or a small stipend. At Ashford I can't just walk into a building and go to the right office and get my questions answered. Instead I have to wait for email responses and hope that my adviser is on the ball and will answer or return a call. Lastly the classes are a pain because of the lack of interest or commitment from students and professors alike. It seems they all do the bare minimum required, and when everything is communicated through writing or YouTube links, what is a lengthy conversation during a few hours a week class, is mere paragraphs or sentences online.

Campus Resources: The facilities online are great the different links help the students to find all kinds of resources and the library is out of sight. Ashford is the best school I have ever been too online or traditional

Campus Resources: Ashford is an online school and what I love about it is that I do not have to drive anywhere. But if there are any other emergencies which conflict with my classes my advisor and teacher are helpful and willing to assist.

Campus Resources: Since Ashford is an online school there is no campus but online resources such as student wellness, student newsletter and the student café spot are available. They e-mail with events happening and send out monthly newsletters.

Online Courses: I can work on my own time wether it is 2'oclock in the afternoon or 4'oclock in the morning and I can work easily around my children. For me it's challenging but better than a traditional school, mainly because of how much of a visual person I am listening and taking note were just not for me.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Sometimes I feel like it is a little on the expensive side but I am going for my bachelors so I guess it isn't too bad. I also feel like it will be worth it in the long run when I'm working in my profession of choice and making a stable amount of money a year

Academic Flexibility: Ashford University was the best decision for me right now because of their flexibility, i have two kids and a hectic schedule so traditional school was not for me at this point in my life

Academic Experience: The learning environment of the online classrooms exceeded my expectations. I do really regret the shift to online e-books instead of the regular printed textbooks. I understand this is to save money and resources but studying was easier with a hard copy of the text.

Academic Flexibility: Until recently everything about my experience was great. However, I was recently dropped from classes due to a scheduling oversight which caused a delay in my graduation and in my financial aid funding. Otherwise I have been very pleased with my time spent at Ashford.

Online Courses: They have all been easy to access, I'm not a HUGE fan of the Ashford Library, but it's easy enough to follow and use. The math class had a neat program called ALEKS that I really enjoyed.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Since I am active duty military, my tuition is paid for by the Air Force, and Ashford knew exactly how to handle military payment. They guided me right through it, even when I was stationed in Honduras with limited communications.

Academic Experience: I took a 8 year break from college, I was too young and not ready before. I wish I found Ashford 8 years ago because I think I could have gone far even then.

Ashford University provides a great learning experience in a very unique environment. If you ask online Ashford students if they're happy with their choice to attend school there, most would probably say that they would do it all over again if they could, mainly because of its flexibility and convenience with schedules. The instructors are helpful and respond to questions in a timely manner, usually within one to two days. The instructors are helpful and encourage students to constantly look for better answers. Online classes are very convenient to students with complicated schedules; students can complete assignments at their own leisure, yet within the time constraints of deadlines. Most students find no problem completing their assignments.

A drawback of being an online student is that you don't have the opportunity to really check out the organizations or physical resources Ashford offers. However, the University does have an online library that students can go into from the Student Portal. The library is easy to use, and students can usually find most of the sources they need when writing a research paper. Even though it isn't your typical college interaction, the instructors and classmates are friendly and very helpful when you have questions. Students are able to help each other in unique ways. In one case, a student didn't have her book for class yet, and another student was able to scan a copy of the assignment and e-mail an attachment to her. Classmates are also helpful in post discussions and give each other timely advice and wisdom.
