Academic Flexibility: My classes have been flexible, and on the occasions when I needed to take a break from my classes it wasn't difficult to do.

Online Courses: I enjoy taking online courses because I have a full time job. Online classes have made getting a degree possible.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: Since I go to school online there are no internships I am eligible for.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: My course work is degree intensive. Because of the field I am going into, the English program has helped hone my talents.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: My only complaint is that they don't have the degree program I was looking for. However, my experience here at Ashford has been very rewarding.

Academic Flexibility: The hassles or frustrations I have had with this experience is trying to follow the schedule I made and my time management skills.

Online Courses: My experience with courses differ from a traditional classroom experience by there not being a lot of interaction with our peers except for when a discussion requires it and there really isn't a professor/student relationship. The workload is a little difficult to manage if you don't have a schedule set up so you can balance everything and the registration process is fairly easy because the application is basically like any registration process for any school.

Overall Experience: My experience with courses and professors at this school has been wonderful. Most professors get back to you within 24 hours after you email them and the quality of the professors is great because they know what they are talking about. There is a wonderful variety of courses offered and the class style is an online learning environment which is kind of hard to understand but the professors are always willing to help you if you have a question about something related to the course.

Academic Experience: The unique aspects of my program are you take a lot of different courses and learn many different and interesting things. The workload is ok except in order to keep up on your work you should make a schedule so you can balance it with the other stuff you do. I love the program I am in because I get to learn many new things.

Overall Experience: My overall experience of this school is wonderful. My favorite experience is how helpful my mentor and academic adviser is. The thing that makes my school unique is the first three weeks are a try it on phase. If I had to do it all over again I would choose my school again because all the instructors, advisers and tutors are really helpful and this school has great resources which include the library and writing center.

Academic Flexibility: i only have to submit one assignment each week to maintain attendance and all assignments are listed with due dates. Also if there is a holiday on the day an assignment is due, well our instructor gives us an additional day

Ashford University provides a great learning experience in a very unique environment. If you ask online Ashford students if they're happy with their choice to attend school there, most would probably say that they would do it all over again if they could, mainly because of its flexibility and convenience with schedules. The instructors are helpful and respond to questions in a timely manner, usually within one to two days. The instructors are helpful and encourage students to constantly look for better answers. Online classes are very convenient to students with complicated schedules; students can complete assignments at their own leisure, yet within the time constraints of deadlines. Most students find no problem completing their assignments.

A drawback of being an online student is that you don't have the opportunity to really check out the organizations or physical resources Ashford offers. However, the University does have an online library that students can go into from the Student Portal. The library is easy to use, and students can usually find most of the sources they need when writing a research paper. Even though it isn't your typical college interaction, the instructors and classmates are friendly and very helpful when you have questions. Students are able to help each other in unique ways. In one case, a student didn't have her book for class yet, and another student was able to scan a copy of the assignment and e-mail an attachment to her. Classmates are also helpful in post discussions and give each other timely advice and wisdom.
