Academic Flexibility: With online classes you have days that assignments are due but you don't have to be on at specific times so its fully flexible.

Overall Experience: I've enjoyed it all so far

Overall Experience: I've enjoyed all of my classes so far.

Overall Experience: Since I do my classes online there isn't much interaction with recruiters or other typical campus affairs. However, Ashford has a FB page and a LinkedIn page that students use regularly. Faculty for the Alumni group posts job openings for graduates and are very helpful.

Online Courses: I love the online courses. The options for accessing the classroom to the textbooks is wonderful. Ashford doesn't just have an option to use a PC but they also have apps for your classroom and textbooks. They make it easy to log in and participate, even for working adults.

Student Body: I'm in online classes and I have seen the widest spectrum of students. My current class has everyone from military to stay-at-home moms to working professionals that span all ages and classes. It's been a great experience getting to know everyone.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Cost of tuition is a little higher than I expected but my financial advisor was amazing! She walked me through every step of applying for aid and answered every question, no matter how insignificant, that I had.

Career Services: I haven't really used these services yet, but I am on LinkedIn, and so is Ashford. They are always posting information on jobs for grads. It's nice to know they want to help us succeed even after graduation.

Academic Experience: My experience has been really great so far. Being an online student means you take one class at a time and it's compressed into a 5-week course. That keeps things fast paced and makes a semi-heavy workload but since it's only one class at a time you don't have to split your focus.

Academic Experience: The variety of classes offered online blew me away. I can take all of the classes for my degree from home. Plus Ashford has a classroom app and a resources app for the textbooks so no matter where I am I can just open it on my phone or tablet and study or even participate in class discussions. They are making it easy for distant learners to earn their degree by giving more options to get the work done.

Campus Resources: I am an online student so I don't have access to campus resources. However, they have great resources for online students.

College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: The tuition is high but cheaper than most.

5 College Junior

Academic Experience: A lot of students apply.

Online Courses: I love my experience with online courses. It is different because you are virtually involved with professors and peers. It takes a considerable amount of self-discipline to complete courses and to actually learn what you are being taught.

4 College Junior

Student Body: I am enrolled in an online degree program, I am not sure of what the student body consists of.

4 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: I feel that I will have gotten my money's worth by the end of my endeavor. I have had nothing but good experiences with the financial aid department.

College Junior

Career Services: I am unsure of what services are offered for post-grad services at my school, but I am sure they will be great!

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: I am just starting my program so I do not have much to compare it to others. But I am pleased with the curriculum, workload, and overall program. I hope I am just as pleased in the future with internship/job opportunities.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: I was very happy with the Academics that I was offered. I was enrolled at another school, and was told that I cannot go for a Bachelor's Degree in what I wanted. I was then enrolled in a diploma program, only then to go on for an associates. I am very happy that my adviser both allowed and encouraged me to get into a bachelor's degree program instead of start low on the "totem-pole".

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: Ashford University has wonderful resources. I like the activities and centers they have to offer

4 College Student

Academic Flexibility: I have credits to transfer to Ashford, I have requested for my credits from the other two schools.

Ashford University provides a great learning experience in a very unique environment. If you ask online Ashford students if they're happy with their choice to attend school there, most would probably say that they would do it all over again if they could, mainly because of its flexibility and convenience with schedules. The instructors are helpful and respond to questions in a timely manner, usually within one to two days. The instructors are helpful and encourage students to constantly look for better answers. Online classes are very convenient to students with complicated schedules; students can complete assignments at their own leisure, yet within the time constraints of deadlines. Most students find no problem completing their assignments.

A drawback of being an online student is that you don't have the opportunity to really check out the organizations or physical resources Ashford offers. However, the University does have an online library that students can go into from the Student Portal. The library is easy to use, and students can usually find most of the sources they need when writing a research paper. Even though it isn't your typical college interaction, the instructors and classmates are friendly and very helpful when you have questions. Students are able to help each other in unique ways. In one case, a student didn't have her book for class yet, and another student was able to scan a copy of the assignment and e-mail an attachment to her. Classmates are also helpful in post discussions and give each other timely advice and wisdom.
