Campus Quality: Work Study – The work study program here is really good. Students work all over campus saving money on transportation while making extra money.

Drug Safety: DRY Campus and I Mean DRY! This campus is a dry campus. Although few people make there drinking noticable it is not bad at all. I personally have never been pressured into anything, thats not to say it does not happen.

Athletics: The CUB – The school really trys its hardest to include everyone. The campus union board (CUB) is in charge of many of the social events that bring poets, singers, and other artist and performers to the school. These programs are often free or they try to raise money for other organizations and charities.

Technology: Armstrong does a fine job of keeping the student computer system running at a reasonable level of usefulness, given how large the task can be on an IT department.

Local Area: Historic Town With Tourist Attractions – An old city with charm and a slow attitude. Most activities involve socializing at bars/trendy restaurants, with occasional shows and or concerts. The coast is very near, so summers can involve plenty of beach or water sports. Downtown Savannah area is now heavily saturated with students from an internationally known art college, and has many full time residences, so the area is fairly safe excepting very late hours.

Scholarships: Federal Aid – My biggest problem with financial aid is the amounts are never realistic. Many students have to pull out loans just to make ends meet throughout the semester. Students who don't rely on their parent's finances are effected the most. Independent students are becoming the bulk of the student population, and since we indulge in an education, it would seem just to financially accommodate those individuals to relieve the stress the school places on those students who rely on financial aid/grants/scholarships/etc.

Weather: Weather seldom effects my campus experience because although it rains a lot, there are many places to receive shelter.

3 College Junior

Parking: Parking conditions on campus can be good. The only problem on our campus is that the locations where students are more opt to visit (due to class schedule, etc), which are closer to the buildings, are all reserved for teacher/faculty.

Campus Quality: Nice Campus – I like the feel of the openness of the campus. There's alot of trees, benches, and open areas to sit and relax. There are alot of areas to sit around and study or hang out with friends. The campus is easy to get around and through. The buildings are easy to find and its just a nice place than other colleges i have been too. Everywhere is easy access and i enjoy that about my school. I will miss it when i leave.

Diversity: A Mix of Culture – At my school theres a lot of diversity. In my classrooms, there are quite mixed, we have africans, asians, caucasians, and hispanics. They have different groups for each culture like HOLA is for hispanic students, its like a club they get together and learn their culture. Theres african american greek life they have which is also a good way to learn about each others culture. There is just a wide range of color at my school which i enjoy.

Campus Housing: Good College Experience for Freshmens – For a new freshman I suggest living on campus for the first time because it gives you a better opportunity to make new friends, join clubs and be apart of different organizations easier, and live the campus life. The cost was fairly affordable and it was at a set price. IE water, electricity etc..They had a lot of campus dorm activities like volleyball, cookouts, and parties. I met a lot of people living on campus and i also enjoyed being able to walk to campus.

Scholarships: I, for whatever reason, was unable to get financial aid.

4 College Junior

Weather: Usually Always Sunny – Savannah weather is pretty crazy but the majority of the time it's sunny and hot! I love the weather here, minus the humidity. Classes are rarely canceled.

Greek Life: The Frats/Sororities Are Not a Big Deal – At Armstrong, it is much better to be an athlete than a "brother" of a fraternity. Athletes are popular, frat boys are not.

3 College Freshman

Diversity: There are students from all cultural backgrounds on campus. The campus makeup is comprised of latinos, chinese, japanese, blacks, whites, and internationals. The male and female make up is great as well. Some are religious but few in number to recognize on campus.

Off-Campus Dining: The Bamboo Garden – The Bamboo Garden is a chinese restaurant that serves fine cuisine. I usually order their shrimp fried rice and sesame seed chicken. Off-campus dining options are a plus to spice things up. You can move from Chinese cuisine to Japanese cuisine and even Indian cuisine for flavor.

4 College Freshman

Campus Quality: Student Center Is the BOMB – The student center is the ultimate hangout for eating, fun, and greek activity. The food options are awesome in that vegatarians are accommodated and the Quiznos on campus makes it possible to have a kosher meal.

4 College Freshman

Scholarships: The financial aid service is manageable. I did not have any problems with the processing of my paperwork. My assigned professional counselor was very informative and anytime I needed additional concerns addressed ample time was dedicated to my concern.

Athletics: Armstrong Atlantic State University has the state-of-the art athletic facilities. However, we are not that huge on sports. We just recently thought of having added to the intramural sports football. The volley ball is sure to win! Whereas, the basketball teams do their best but fail to win. Wishing we would become more competitive.

3 College Freshman

Academics: Academic Excellence – I chose to attend Armstrong Atlantic State because it has the pre-nursing program in Savannah, GA. The professors at my school are strict but they are willing to work with you if you are willing to put in the time and effort. They make it known that you are responsible for your own learning and they are their to give you through the process by providing support. The curriculum is one that prepares for the chosen career path. The registration process is hectic...crazy in a sense. It can stand to improve. The workload does lend itself to accurately balancing academics and a social life. A student really has to choose between the two.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: The Limited Experience – Almost everyone on campus knows oneanother this is what makes this campus unique. Armstrong is a medium size college, but that is what i enjoy. The classes sre just the right size and i enjoy the small activites that go one. Although i enjoy those things, i believe this college gives the limited experience for college. Most people would transfer from this school, it is just to get a start in the college life. You have to do your work at this school, it is easy to get in, but hard to stay in.

1 College Freshman

Administration: Parties and Night Events – The parties and night events end between 11:30-12:00

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: Southside Savannah is full of chains! If you love chain restaurants, Armstrong is the place to be! On campus is the Quiznos, across the street is a plaza with a Subway, Huddle House and China Wok (or similar chinese place) and right down the street is the Savannah Mall with its assorted mall food. However if you are vegetarian, like to eat healthy or prefer "Mom and Pop" restaurants, your pickings are slim. I would suggest walking to the Kroger and making food yourself.

3 College Junior

Party Scene: To me Armstrong has very little nightlife. Every two weeks or so there will be a theater performance or an open mic night (open mic here is awesome) but for the most part the only nightlife you'll find here is in downtown Savannah and only for the 21+ age group. The greeks will sometimes throw parties but really they're just bastions for underage drinkers.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: Good. Sometimes. There are several different apartment complexes in the area with 2/3-bedroom apartments for $650-$1000 a month. Sadly, many of the cheaper housing options are in the sketchy areas of town.
