5 College Sophomore

Weather: The weather is awesome VERY hot in the summer mild winters cold in jan/feb but back in the 70's in march

5 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: I can't really say about the main campus because I go to the Liberty Center. But I feel safe there.

1 College Sophomore

Party Scene: Armstrong is not a party school. There are almost no parties at all, and the ones they throw are not good. Even the frat parties are off campus. Downtown is where the clubs are at, and at least it's only 30 minutes away.

4 College Sophomore

Diversity: At Armstrong there are a lot of African Americans, Whites and a big LGBTQ community. There are also several Asians and a few from other countries that really make our campus unique.

5 College Sophomore

Academics: Armstrong Advantage – If you have no college credits from anywhere else, and maintain a 3.0 average in Core areas A, D, and F, then you qualify for a guarenteed seat in the nursing program as long as you maintain that gpa.

4 College Junior

Weather: The weather is ok, it gets really hot here in the summer which kind of makes you want to go to the beach instead of going to class. the winters are not really that cold but sometimes can be. when it rains it pours and sometimes class gets cancelled but not often unless there is a hurricane

2 College Junior

Athletics: The athletics are ok. Not a lot of people get involved so even when you go to a game there isn't a lot of school spirit so most people don't go. We don't really have a typically college homecoming week since we don't have a football team. Out soccer and volleyball teams do well nationally, but basketball isn't really that good.

3 College Junior

Guys & Girls: Girls and Guys at AASU – People at Armstrong are pretty cool. There are a lot of artsy weirdly dressed, video game obsessed guys and girls, that seem to hang out with each other. You just have to find out what group you belong in. The guys aren't really that cute with the exception of about 5. There are way more girls than guys on campus

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: Process Went Through. Financial Aid went through smoothly, though more money granted would help enhance my college experience as I may have to transfer home due to financial deficits.

4 College Freshman

Campus Quality: Variety of Events and Culture – The campus life at AASU is very busy, and the school is always having opportunities to meet new people. There is also a very cultural part to the school as they participate in most cultural holidays and months designated to different cultures. Also AASU takes part in volunteer opportunities around the town in Savannah which are great tools to have on a resume.

3 College Freshman

Technology: Labs Are Always Open, Yet Used for Class – The computer labs that are used at AASU are very up to date and easily accesible, and are used for classes as well to further teach in a more web-based environment.

1 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: Avoid the Girls – The girls here are not very pleasing to the eyes. The few that are good looking, are very stuck up or hang out with the stoners. You're better off looking for girls off-campus.

3 College Freshman

Campus Quality: The facilities at AASU are pretty decent. It's a small campus, so it's reasonable for them to be a size that reflects the population. there isn't much use for recreation other than the gym, which stock a fair amount of exercise equipment. The library is fairly nice for studying. The cafeteria, otherwise known as the galley, is not very good. Unfortunately, it's dirty, unprofessional, and serves bad food.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: Good academic experience and atmosphere with limited party activities and places.

2 College Junior

Drug Safety: Drug Scene – Armstrong is a dry campus and hardly has any issues of policy enforcement.

3 College Junior

Health & Safety: Safety and Security – Armstrong's security is pretty up to date and are always helpful in assisting students in need. The safety on campus is in good standing also.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: It Just Depends – Armstrong is a pretty okay school, i wish there were more social avctivities though, like parties. The education is great though!

1 College Freshman

Transportation: No Type at All – There is a city bus you can catch. But if you are without a car, you are pretty much on your own.

4 College Freshman

Campus Quality: I Love Armstong – The facilities on Armstrong's campus are great, we have 3 different sport buildings, a building just for freshman, a library, and a student union with a pantry store and even a balcony to enjoy the scenery.

3 College Student

Guys & Girls: Guys Vary – There are all types of guys - however most students are commuter students so you won't find guys just hanging out around campus often. If you meet someone, they're in your class. Some attractive, some definitely not.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Quality: Heart of Savannah – Though the school is not my favorite, I have stayed due to location. Being in south Savannah, we are fifteen minutes from River Street and downtown and thiry minutes from Tybee Island. We are also only forty five minutes from Hilton Head Island where there is a better beach and shopping outlets. The city is rich in history, culture and opportunity. From being one of the medical centers of Georgia, to a military center, to old forts and museums, to the rich art of SCAD downtown, there is something for everyone in Savannah that makes Armstrong more bearable.

1 College Sophomore

Administration: Dumb Rules When It Doesn't Count, Blind Eye When It Does – The university police tend to issue things like arrests for minor squabbles or $50 tickets for running stop signs, yet people can live illegally in on campus housing and they are clueless. When it is a safety issue it seems not to matter, yet dumb stuff they make into huge ordeals like cancelling school wide functions when people are caught with jello shots since it's a dry campus.

1 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: Easy to Come by – The drug scene is highly popular and often a public activity to which the university police turn a blind eye or participate. Many come from off campus to buy from students on campus. Though Armstrong is a dry campus, weed is just as easy to come by as smuggled alcohol and can be found at almost every party.

3 College Sophomore

Transportation: The campus doesn't have a specific form of transportation. The way that students get around on campus are bicycles, skate boards, scooters, and the city transportation.

4 College Sophomore

Diversity: The Melting Pot – Armstrong has many different races, ethnicities and cultures. The school started off as a prodominately white school, then became integrated with African Americans, Europeans and middle eastern americans. Every race and ethnicity gets along with each other and the campus caters to each and every culture with different organized free events that are held on campus every year.
