5 College Freshman

Diversity: The school is extremely diverse but mostly liberal

2 College Freshman

Scholarships: They hit you with the housing and meal plan hard.

2 College Freshman

Drug Safety: Pretty much any night of the week you see drunks.

4 College Freshman

Administration: Excellent place, but it depends on your housing.

5 College Senior

Health & Safety: ASU is constantly developing new measures for safety and communicating with students about new practices. They have created a safe and comfortable environment.

Academics: It is awesome being at Management major at ASU. Whenever I tell people my major, they respect it because it is a difficult major and a very useful one at that. The Management program is unique because it is teaching us to apply all the areas of business within one major. In order to manage businesses efficiently, we have to understand finance, accounting, communication, marketing, and international trade. The workload is heavy but manageable. The curriculum here is actually exciting! I love my classes and the business school buildings are cutting edge in technology. We just built a new business building so it is neat to study in there. The business school in general is very proactive in getting students internships and job opportunities through job fairs and multiple events for career building.

Majors: I am a third year student and finally got into the W.P. Carey School of Business at ASU as a Management major. I love my major and the business school at ASU! If I could do college all over again, I would have started initially in the Management degree if I would have known that was what I wanted. My career goals are to manage an international Christian organization or a non-profit company that sends teams out to help on various societal projects. I love working with people and organization, so it would be great for me to apply my passions within business. My only concern about finding a job in my field would be not finding one where I can really make a difference in people's lives for the better.

Majors: The process of getting into my program in the business school is very difficult and selective, especially if you already attend ASU. In order to transfer to a new program, I had to jump through many hoops and complete several prerequisites before I could even be considered for the program. I liked that it was a challenge. It shows that the school really cares about what students it has. The most important criteria for admission were prerequisites, GPA and leadership involvement. My program does not have an abnormal application process. The tip I would offer for admission is to work hard, keep your grades up, and get involved in ways where you can lead and serve. Apply early!

Athletics: We had a great year this year in sports, its at an all time high!

4 College Freshman

Majors: The School of Life Sciences is wonderful! I am on a Pre-Vet track and my main concern is the lack of support to SOLS students who are not Pre-Med or research based.

4 College Freshman

Majors: SOLS is not difficult to get into. The coursework is challenging, however, so having science beforehand is very helpful.

4 College Freshman

Local Area: Mill Ave provides some exciting shopping and food options, and the city is easily accessible through buses.

3 College Freshman

Technology: The wi-fi is wonky at times, but ethernet connections are usually the best.

4 College Freshman

Academics: Everything is custom tailored to your major. The only issue with that is the lack of ability to explore other class/learning options.

Arizona State is like no other university in the country. With a large, vibrant, and exciting student body that truly makes the campus unique, there is no arguing that ASU is by any means a boring place to be for the next four years of your life. As soon as you step onto ASU's campus, you will feel the immense amount of positive and exciting energy that gives you sense of belonging. Even though there are so many students around campus, you will be sure to find a niche to call your own. College is the time to find yourself and truly learn who you are as you prepare for the real world. ASU provides the perfect environment to challenge you to make "adult" decisions, and you won't always, but by the end of it all, you will mature into a dedicated individual!

Even though students will struggle with all-nighters, sports practice, parking tickets, and trying to recover from a great night, many of them couldn't ask for anything else. There will be times that you are drowning in homework and studying, but by the end of it all, you will look back and laugh. Your peers help you get through the tough times and make those social outings even more fun. ASU knows how to party hard, but when it comes to crunch time, we pull it off well. The kids here know how to have a great time, the nightlife and social settings are extremely fun, the academics are quite challenging—especially when you apply yourself and take it seriously—but most importantly, students will leave prepared for post-graduation and taking on the world. ASU is a fantastic place to meet new people and a great way to experience life in the great southwest. But don't take my word for it—come on out and experience it for yourself!
