Campus Housing: Although living on campus is expensive, it's a great choice for someone who is involved on campus. It provides a short distance to all classes and extracurricular activities.

3 College Senior

Greek Life: I honestly don't really care about the Greek life since I am not involved. But, all of the people that I knoe who are in it absolutely love it and claim that it has given them great opportunities.

3 College Senior

Athletics: The stadium is constantly being renovated which makes it clear that football is the favorite sport on campus. All other facilities are good but they are not the main priority.

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: ASU has been an amazing place to learn and grow for the last four years. This school constantly strives to be the very best and frequently updates their buildings and policies to match their growing standards.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: We do have a handful of either shooting, bomb, suspicion or robbery notices every year, but since ASU has it's own police department with 8 officers, responses are quick. I live in the dorms and feel very safe in them.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: The professors are pretty awesome and come from very interesting backgrounds, especially in the film and theater department. There are some unique classes that I love. Class sizes are typically appropriate for the subject matter. Small for english and design, big for theory and group work.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: The alumni network is fantastic. I went to London and Japan my past two summers and found ASU Alum. It has a sh***y rep though as far as party being just a party school, so older generations and snobbier schools look down on us. Despite this, a lot of people I know find jobs and internships during and after college.

Campus Housing: You make a lot of friends in the dorms. Some dorms are nicer than others, but you don't get to choose which you perfer or cheaper/more expensive options since you are grouped with your major. Center Community aids to the Arts a lot which is great for the Herburger students.

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: I'm not in it so I don't really hear about it, they keep to themselves. However, you can spot a Greek member from a mile away because they all look and act the same.

5 College Freshman

Athletics: Our football team carries all of our school spirit.

Overall Experience: I love the dorm experience and how students are groped with people in their college. It makes making friends in your major easy and builds a good safety net, especially for out of state students like me. ASU is a large campus, but that just means more opportunities. It is hard not to get involved in either a club, group, intramural sport, greek life or society as there are so many, one is bound to suit every individual. They are taking on too many students to hold sometimes though, as I have felt as though the campus is crowded and classes are hard to get sometimes, but it seems like they are building as fast as they can to meet the demand.

Athletics: The gym is one of my favorite things about this school. It is huge and filled with lots of activities.

Diversity: I do not agree with how accepting everyone is of everything, but according to others they love it.

Academics: They teach you in dumb ways, in that you go through your pre-requisite classes, and then only start learning the higher level information later on in your academic career, mainly late junior or senior. If they incorporated a more technical school-like approach, it would be much better.

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: I have actually been blessed with a number of great professors who actually care. However, I have definitely had my fair share who do not know the proper way to lead a classroom of large size.

Athletics: As mentioned before, I live of campus at home still, and am too busy to entertain myself with sports. However, from talking to various people about the things happening with ASU's teams, and from seeing the people parading around like lunatics, it seems morale is high whenever it comes to sports events.

Health & Safety: As of late, I have not heard of many thefts or crimes happening on campus, as opposed to 2+ years ago,

Health & Safety: There is always a patrol of on-campus police and it always makes me feel safe and secure knowing that they care for our safety, regardless.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: They are varied and differ in personality and teaching structure. They know what they're teaching, but some of them forget that some students aren't as knowledgeable as they are.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: There are many opportunities that are offered, but you have to be on top of your feet when they have deadlines for applying and submitting in applications.

5 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: You are able to pick your space, but must be aware that it is on a first-come basis and also choose your roommates that you'll be living for for the school year.

Greek Life: In the movies, it's critical and important to be a part of the Greek life of any college or university, but I found it to be quite the opposite. Many students aren't a part of the Greek life and are no different than those in Greek life.

5 College Sophomore

Athletics: There are a number of Fitness Complexes throughout the campus and it's practically impossible to not be able to workout at one of the three existing public gyms on campus.

Arizona State is like no other university in the country. With a large, vibrant, and exciting student body that truly makes the campus unique, there is no arguing that ASU is by any means a boring place to be for the next four years of your life. As soon as you step onto ASU's campus, you will feel the immense amount of positive and exciting energy that gives you sense of belonging. Even though there are so many students around campus, you will be sure to find a niche to call your own. College is the time to find yourself and truly learn who you are as you prepare for the real world. ASU provides the perfect environment to challenge you to make "adult" decisions, and you won't always, but by the end of it all, you will mature into a dedicated individual!

Even though students will struggle with all-nighters, sports practice, parking tickets, and trying to recover from a great night, many of them couldn't ask for anything else. There will be times that you are drowning in homework and studying, but by the end of it all, you will look back and laugh. Your peers help you get through the tough times and make those social outings even more fun. ASU knows how to party hard, but when it comes to crunch time, we pull it off well. The kids here know how to have a great time, the nightlife and social settings are extremely fun, the academics are quite challenging—especially when you apply yourself and take it seriously—but most importantly, students will leave prepared for post-graduation and taking on the world. ASU is a fantastic place to meet new people and a great way to experience life in the great southwest. But don't take my word for it—come on out and experience it for yourself!
