Campus Housing: Living on campus is very convenient but it would be nice to have more space for the price we pay.

Athletics: Arizona State University has a great way of promoting school support by giving free admission to students.

Overall Experience: Arizona state University offers a variety of majors in many valley wide locations.

Health & Safety: The ASU police light system in theory works, however they say you are supposed to be able to see the next light from the previous one and in a lot of cases that is untrue. I believe they should put more on campus. ASU does have a lot of safety precautions however such as the safety escort golf cart and the police boxes. There are some areas on campus that get sketchy because it could use more lights for at night, especially around the gyn, fields, and hassy dorms like from the gym to the business dorms (hassy). I feel safe on campus but that is because I make sure I can take care of myself and after dark am always protected.

Overall Experience: I've had a few reoccurring issues with classes and professors. The teacher takes personal offence and decides not to like me and therefore grades me differently. There is also the case where the teacher is foriegn and is extremely difficult to understand which makes it hard to learn the topic or know what is going on and try to stay interested. I have also had classes where the professor is very unreachable especially in lectures to the point where they don't want to be contacted and are not helpful at all and they push it all to the TA's. The last issue I have experienced is that in some classes the teachers treat the class and the students like we went back to high school which is not helpful or good at all, and to be honest shouldn't be allowed to happen because we pay the salaries of the teacher, so I should be able to do and use whatever I want as long as I am learning. There are quite a few professors who also don't like technology used which I find strange since we are in the technology age.

Overall Experience: The career services has a lot of internships and job postings that are extremely helpful and nice. Especially in some of the colleges within ASU such as W.P.Carey School of Business and the others that are very high on the list of their specified fields are very nice to have on a resume because for example, WP Carey Business degree would mean much more than a business degree from a community college.

Campus Housing: The dorms are a good and bad part of college. I was fortunate enough to get the dorm at the end of the hall which meant it was almost double the size of everyone else's and only shared the bathroom with my roommate. Some of the problems I encountered were my first roommate at first was fine than she started to hate me for no reason and got a good chunk of the floor to hate me, which stuck even after she left. I than finally got a second roommate and she was a slob and rude and very hard to live with. The floor tension was awful, to the point where some of them even falsely called the cops on me. I also than had a issue with another that had to involve the head CA's which was also a lie. However even with all that, I made a friendship on that floor that I consider to still be one of my best friends even though we have gone through some ups and downs. I also loved the experience of having everything just an arms-length away. I loved the access the dorms helped provide as well as the number of people I met because I lived on campus.

Greek Life: Greeks are great until you become one of them and than it is extremely cliquey (especially in sororities). The rush process is just a front. The sororities are harder to get into and more of a big deal about it than fraternities. Fraternities are pretty simple to join. The rush process throughout is a shortened version than a lot of schools. Fraternities take a week, sororities take 4 days. Due to Tempe law, there is not allowed to be sorority housing like most colleges so the sororities, some of the members, live in Adelphi which is basically dorms for greek life. Fraternities are considered "off campus" at ASU, meaning there is no housing and there is no Greek row, even though there used to be a Frat row. This fact definitely sucks. There is also a few "under-ground fraternities" at ASU as well.

Athletics: The fan support and school spirit is amazing! It's more than school spirit for most, it's a way of life, the Sun Devil way.

Health & Safety: There is a lot of awareness about it as discussed in classes but it doesnt seem like there are preventative measures in place.

Arizona State is like no other university in the country. With a large, vibrant, and exciting student body that truly makes the campus unique, there is no arguing that ASU is by any means a boring place to be for the next four years of your life. As soon as you step onto ASU's campus, you will feel the immense amount of positive and exciting energy that gives you sense of belonging. Even though there are so many students around campus, you will be sure to find a niche to call your own. College is the time to find yourself and truly learn who you are as you prepare for the real world. ASU provides the perfect environment to challenge you to make "adult" decisions, and you won't always, but by the end of it all, you will mature into a dedicated individual!

Even though students will struggle with all-nighters, sports practice, parking tickets, and trying to recover from a great night, many of them couldn't ask for anything else. There will be times that you are drowning in homework and studying, but by the end of it all, you will look back and laugh. Your peers help you get through the tough times and make those social outings even more fun. ASU knows how to party hard, but when it comes to crunch time, we pull it off well. The kids here know how to have a great time, the nightlife and social settings are extremely fun, the academics are quite challenging—especially when you apply yourself and take it seriously—but most importantly, students will leave prepared for post-graduation and taking on the world. ASU is a fantastic place to meet new people and a great way to experience life in the great southwest. But don't take my word for it—come on out and experience it for yourself!
