Greek Life: If I would have attended ASU as a freshman, I definitely would have joined Greek life. There are lots of friendly people and connections within it, and the idea of having sorority sisters is exciting. However I was accepted to ASU as a junior, and regarding my education I felt that it was more important to focus on school as an upperclassman. Greek life plays a huge role in the social atmosphere among campus. I have seen enough Greek letters on shirts and book bags to last a lifetime.

Overall Experience: Many of the professors here are great, but I have had one or two that have been a disappointment. A great teacher, in my opinion, will cover all of the test material in class, provide answers to all student questions, provide after hour appointments, and make a special connection with their students. It's harder to do in a lecture hall with 300 or more students, and with online classes. This is why I prefer small classes with 30 students or less.

Overall Experience: ASU is always providing job opportunities on campus. Work study is very common on campus, and the University also holds a career fair once each semester that students are encouraged to attend and meet possible future employers. I have never been to career services, but the option has always been made available to me, and that alone means a lot.

Party Scene: The nightlife at ASU is so active, that it can be hard at times to focus on studying and schoolwork. Nevertheless I always put my education first.

Diversity: There are so many diverse groups on this campus. After living here for only a year, I now have friends from Saudi Arabia, China, and many different US states. I see so many languages being used on and around campus. Some students attending ASU are extremely wealthy, while others are struggling financially. Gay pride is something that is becoming more common and accepted, especially in Tempe.

Athletics: Athletics are a huge part of the Arizona State University life style. When it comes to varsity football and basketball, nothing gets students more excited. The teams receive great support from the university as well as alumni and their performance definitely reflects that. School spirit and fan turnout at ASU games may be the best in Arizona; on game night, it's impossible not to get lost in a sea of Sun Devil fans.

Diversity: Arizona State University has very diverse campuses. There are multiple political, ethnic, religious, and LGBT organizations for students to participate in. ASU's student population consists of thousands of students from over 70 countries around the world, and students celebrate their diversity through clubs and cultural events around campus. There are also students that hold church services at various times throughout the year as well. For the most part, the students of ASU get along well and are very accepting of others of different ethnic backgrounds, religions, sexual orientation, and political beliefs.

Administration: On campus housing is more strict than the actual campus, most of the on campus apartments are "Dry living" so no alcohol. The school has a strict three absence policy and then you are dropped. However, most professors will work with students if this has happened. The most annoying rule is the "walk only" zones. Students have to walk their bikes and boards through this area, it's just more of a hassle than anything.

Overall Experience: The courses and the professors are very well suited with the topic they are teaching. Each professor knows what they are doing and if you ask them for help, they will take time to assist you. This can be during class hours or after class hours.

Overall Experience: Every semester there is a job and intern fair, so it is easy to get connected fast at this school.

Scholarships: Since there are so many students attending this school, scholarships are very competitive, but there are a lot to apply for.

Greek Life: Its pretty big here, but no will force you to join or anything. It is a major time commitment though and i-week gets pretty crazy. Most students see them as typical Greek students and mainly as partiers who dont have anything else. But they do commit to plenty of volunteering and outreach.

Academics: The College of Health Solutions is small and provides very hands-on and personal teaching and learning techniques. The campus has many options to help students succeed in their academic ventures.

4 College Junior

Academics: ASU has a great selection of professors and offers a wide variety of studies for students to chose from.

Off-Campus Housing: There are plenty of good options for off-campus housing that are close to campus and public transportation at ASU.

Greek Life: Greek life seems to be huge at ASU. Greek life is huge in the party scene.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: ASU is sunny year round, filled with people who love to party and have a great time, and in the middle of what is pretty much becoming a college town. ASU has great athletics and pretty much provides the full college experience.

4 College Junior

Guys & Girls: If you're into greek life, frats, sororities, and athletics... ASU is for you.

Off-Campus Dining: Tempe is very central and there are always a variety of places to chose to eat from close by campus and also in Scottsdale.

Arizona State is like no other university in the country. With a large, vibrant, and exciting student body that truly makes the campus unique, there is no arguing that ASU is by any means a boring place to be for the next four years of your life. As soon as you step onto ASU's campus, you will feel the immense amount of positive and exciting energy that gives you sense of belonging. Even though there are so many students around campus, you will be sure to find a niche to call your own. College is the time to find yourself and truly learn who you are as you prepare for the real world. ASU provides the perfect environment to challenge you to make "adult" decisions, and you won't always, but by the end of it all, you will mature into a dedicated individual!

Even though students will struggle with all-nighters, sports practice, parking tickets, and trying to recover from a great night, many of them couldn't ask for anything else. There will be times that you are drowning in homework and studying, but by the end of it all, you will look back and laugh. Your peers help you get through the tough times and make those social outings even more fun. ASU knows how to party hard, but when it comes to crunch time, we pull it off well. The kids here know how to have a great time, the nightlife and social settings are extremely fun, the academics are quite challenging—especially when you apply yourself and take it seriously—but most importantly, students will leave prepared for post-graduation and taking on the world. ASU is a fantastic place to meet new people and a great way to experience life in the great southwest. But don't take my word for it—come on out and experience it for yourself!
