Majors: Because I was a great student in high school, getting into my program in the W.P. Carey School of Business was not an issue, as I had an excellent GPA and decent SAT scores. I did not face any challenges with joining my college or major. My main tip would be to do well in high school and on your standardized tests, that is what will get you in the door to your major.

Off-Campus Dining: There are many places to dine at off-campus, but the main problem with Arizona is that everything is far and you typically need a car. There are some places off of Rural and University that aren't super far from campus. Mill Avenue also has some good restaurants. Cost ranges from expensive to average. Anything is convenient if you have car, but if you don't you'll want to plan ahead.

Party Scene: Since I'm an upperclassman, I don't care too much about the party scene. That doesn't mean there aren't others looking for the party scene, though. It really depends on what year you are, who you are friends with, and what types of things you are interested in outside of class. From there, you will find some parties because it all comes down to the people and what you are looking for out of a party. Vista has become the most infamous for parties, as it is across the street from campus.

Guys & Girls: ASU has a very diverse population of people attending it. You can find your typical sorority girls and fraternity brothers, while you can also find people that are more into the arts. Each college shapes the type of person that exists in a certain area of campus; it's actually quite interesting to experience. You truly see how many different types of people attend ASU, because there is almost every type of person at this university.

Health & Safety: I rarely feel unsafe at ASU's Tempe campus but I am always cautious. The campus is surrounded by the rest of Tempe so anyone can wander onto campus if they wish to. There is an emergency system on campus if you need to run from someone, as you run you should press these buttons to alert authorities.

Campus Housing: Living on campus at ASU truly gives you the college experience. You should be careful since it's easy to get carried away. Overall, if you want to meet people and make friends, you will have a great time.

Off-Campus Dining: I'm a college student, I'm too poor to enjoy food service

Party Scene: If you're not 21 and you're not paying Greek dues (which are very expensive), you're not an attractive girl, or you don't have off-campus living, the party scene here is awful.

Scholarships: They give great merit scholarships!

Athletics: Not very impressed by the experiences of the student section, they really only use the same chants over and over again. Also, If you like to tailgate and are not 21, watch out for the undercover cops because they are certainly out there.

Health & Safety: While campus police are not a burden to college night-life, the local police are VERY strict. I can understand the objective to stop drinking and driving, but they are everywhere and really seem to not support the students here. If you're not 21 and like to have a drink every now and again, don't come here.

Scholarships: Did not receive the aid that I need for the semester. I was put onto a payment plan which my family can not afford.

Off-Campus Housing: I live at my house still.

College Freshman

Greek Life: I'm not part of Greek Life.

Scholarships: They helped me out great but took time.

College Freshman

Majors: I haven't had an internship yet.

Majors: W.P Carey is the best!

College Freshman

Campus Housing: I don't live on campus.

Greek Life: On social media, non-Greek life students seem to put down Greek life but it might be in spite of jealousy or envy. I personally don't mind them but I would never be in a sorority. My roommate is in one and she's awesome. Greek life students can choose to live in specific housing just for them but it's a little more expensive.

4 College Freshman

Scholarships: I was able to score a scholarship but I am always looking for new ways to help take some load off my family's financial burdens.

Administration: ASU is big on academic integrity, no cheating is tolerated. People complain about police because they like to party, but I think as long as you're abiding by the law, you're a-okay. I wish access to parking was easier because it'd be very convenient for me to park on campus and go to the mall, dentist appointments, etc. if I didn't have to pay so much to leave it here. They are started to crack down on attendance policies which is good.

Off-Campus Dining: It can be costly for broke college students such as myself. I have some money in my pocket, but I use it for necessities. I wish discounts were advertised more so I know where to go and when to save a few extra bucks. However, the quality is pretty good when I do happen to go out to eat with friends.

Party Scene: There is always a party going on! You can find multiple parties any night of the week.

Arizona State is like no other university in the country. With a large, vibrant, and exciting student body that truly makes the campus unique, there is no arguing that ASU is by any means a boring place to be for the next four years of your life. As soon as you step onto ASU's campus, you will feel the immense amount of positive and exciting energy that gives you sense of belonging. Even though there are so many students around campus, you will be sure to find a niche to call your own. College is the time to find yourself and truly learn who you are as you prepare for the real world. ASU provides the perfect environment to challenge you to make "adult" decisions, and you won't always, but by the end of it all, you will mature into a dedicated individual!

Even though students will struggle with all-nighters, sports practice, parking tickets, and trying to recover from a great night, many of them couldn't ask for anything else. There will be times that you are drowning in homework and studying, but by the end of it all, you will look back and laugh. Your peers help you get through the tough times and make those social outings even more fun. ASU knows how to party hard, but when it comes to crunch time, we pull it off well. The kids here know how to have a great time, the nightlife and social settings are extremely fun, the academics are quite challenging—especially when you apply yourself and take it seriously—but most importantly, students will leave prepared for post-graduation and taking on the world. ASU is a fantastic place to meet new people and a great way to experience life in the great southwest. But don't take my word for it—come on out and experience it for yourself!
