Health & Safety: It Could Be Worse – I have never had any issues on campus, but I also do no live on campus, have a bike, or are around much after sunset. I am glad that the campus offers safe transport around campus after dark, but I wish it would be extended to frequent areas AROUND campus (campus living apartments, the mall, Mill Ave.)

2 College Student

Weather: Hot Year Around – where a light sweater in the winter because in Arizona it gets hot really fast

5 College Student

Off-Campus Dining: The Light Rail – the light rail is the way to go if you want to eat a variety of tasty dining. you can go from down town phoenix to Tempe in one ride. anything from a fast food place to lux down on central

4 College Junior

Parking: The campus has plenty of parking for those who live in the dorms and parking for those just attending classes. The garages require a permit at a resonable cost. Since I don't live on campus or attend classes during the day I choose the uncover parking and is a flat fee for all day parking. ASU downtown also provides short term parking and meter parking at a lower cost.

4 College Junior

Local Area: The Downtown Life at ASU is very exciting, located in the heart of downtown, the area offers within walking distance an outside mall, theaters, symphonies, ballet companies, ballparks, and concert venues. ASU keeps the campus alive by providing many events and activities each month. If it is recreation, you are looking for ASU has teamed up with the YMCA that offers athletic, aquatic and aerobic activates that are safe and fun. ASU has many different clubs to join and always encourages new clubs to join the ASU family. ASU downtown is an exciting place to live, eat and shop day or night.

5 College Junior

Weather: Always Warm – It is always warm during the school year, Only August is over 100. October to May is awesome!

5 College Junior

Athletics: ASU football is always a great game. Student tickets are priced well. The have booster and tailgates for students. They invite student to come to summer team practice before season. Sparky is a cool mascot designed by Walt Disney.

4 College Junior

Academics: The professors maintain a credible approach at teaching and learning. The multiply level of psychology keeps all classes very interesting.

Overall Experience: I think the most memorable experience i have has on the ASU collage campus was the day i proposed to my fiancee. It was after the Broadway musical "Avenue Q". We both had saved if for weeks to go there, and on the side without her knowing, i had been saving up for the ring. when we left the theater, i directed her over to the fountains, where everyone could see, got on one knee, and asked her to marry me. Her eyes filled with tears, and both our hearts fulled with joy. I'll never forget the experience. the place, the timing, everything was perfect.

Technology: Hussle and Bussle – The school I'm at now has many computers available to students in designated class rooms, high tech lads, the library, and the student union. Most printers cost ten cents to print a page, and with labs that have 8 or 9 pages plus back ground information, i could get expensive. but classes that require labs on the computer in the class, allow you to print for free. The school's network is pretty fast, and their wifi spreads out all over the school until you reach the parking lot. All you need to access the internet is your user name and password that the school gives you. And although all the school's computers that are available are good, it would be wise to have a laptop or a home computer and/or printer, because there are times that the school's computers are unavailable.

Campus Quality: The campus life is great and there are plenty of opportunities for success. The teachers and programs are good and the business school is one of the top 25 in the world.

4 College Sophomore

Transportation: Plenty of Options – You can cycle or walk to school but they also have the light rail and Orbit buses that pick you up for free and are the most convenient.

1 College Sophomore

Parking: Parking on campus is expensive and hard. The parking cost is so high that most people prefer to walk, cycle or get dropped on campus.

5 College Freshman

Diversity: Best School in the World – ASU is a great school. Diversity and the attitudes students are great.

4 College Junior

Campus Housing: The cost is high for living on campus, but worth it. The campus is huge and convenient.

3 College Freshman

Party Scene: Lots of Bars – Just need lost of money in your pockets to be able to go to them.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Good Quality, High Cost – Even though there are a great variety of options around the campus with a little better than average quality, the prices are very high for a student who is working hard to pay her/his own college costs. If your parents are paying your college or if you are fully covered by a scholarship, it won't matter. But, if you are getting a loan that you will later have to repay or you are paying yourself right now, it is no fun.

3 Recent Alumnus

Greek Life: Greeks Are There but It's Not Too Important – I know there are plenty of fraternities and sororities but they don't dominate the social scene. You only really hear much about them during Rush when they are trying to get the new freshmen to join.

4 Recent Alumnus

Campus Food: Great Options for Food! You can get just about anything you want on campus in or near the Student Union. There are fast food places, health food places, and mini markets. Then there are finer restaurants just off campus everywhere. No matter your craving, you can satisfy it.

3 Recent Alumnus

Health & Safety: Mostly Safe Campus – I have been on campus at most times of the day. I have only felt unsafe once or twice but nothing ever happened. There are security call stations many places, though there could be more. You have to be careful about locking your bike though or it most likely will get stolen.

2 College Freshman

Athletics: Sports at arizona state university strive to be good but fail. So far there are many losses, not just in football but ALL of the sports. it has been disappointing to see the people the picked for the sports can't even play the sports...

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: I looked at some of the options for off-campus housing, but since i'm a freshman i can't live off campus yet. I did manage to see the prices, and they were somewhat on the more expensive side, because of the location (closer to campus) and the year the apartment was built.

4 College Freshman

Campus Quality: The facilities at Arizona State are nice, like I said. We have a student rec. center, where the gym and gym equipment is wonderful. The variety of fast food places is great. The libraries are nice, but not somewhere I would study, just because I don't feel like I'm in a library sometimes. The memorial union (MU) is the place to be, with fast food places everywhere, a bowling alley, pool tables, and many rooms to hold conventions in.

2 College Freshman

Technology: I rarely use the desktops in the library, but they're pretty average, nothing special. The wi-fi connection though is not as good as it should be for how much money we pay in tuition.

1 College Junior

Parking: Permit Costs – The cost of parking permits is absolutely ridiculous! Depending on what campus you go to, the price is better, but on Tempe campus be prepared to drop more than $500 per year.

Arizona State is like no other university in the country. With a large, vibrant, and exciting student body that truly makes the campus unique, there is no arguing that ASU is by any means a boring place to be for the next four years of your life. As soon as you step onto ASU's campus, you will feel the immense amount of positive and exciting energy that gives you sense of belonging. Even though there are so many students around campus, you will be sure to find a niche to call your own. College is the time to find yourself and truly learn who you are as you prepare for the real world. ASU provides the perfect environment to challenge you to make "adult" decisions, and you won't always, but by the end of it all, you will mature into a dedicated individual!

Even though students will struggle with all-nighters, sports practice, parking tickets, and trying to recover from a great night, many of them couldn't ask for anything else. There will be times that you are drowning in homework and studying, but by the end of it all, you will look back and laugh. Your peers help you get through the tough times and make those social outings even more fun. ASU knows how to party hard, but when it comes to crunch time, we pull it off well. The kids here know how to have a great time, the nightlife and social settings are extremely fun, the academics are quite challenging—especially when you apply yourself and take it seriously—but most importantly, students will leave prepared for post-graduation and taking on the world. ASU is a fantastic place to meet new people and a great way to experience life in the great southwest. But don't take my word for it—come on out and experience it for yourself!
