4 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: My dorm was pretty spacious and the room was clean and the housing process was relatively easy.

4 College Sophomore

Athletics: The athletics are a big part of the campus and there is a lot of spirit.

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Arizona State has truly become the New American University and provides an affordable education to everyone. I really enjoy all my classes and there are a wide variety of courses to pick from.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: School is safe but you never know what could happen.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: People should be more social and roommates and suitemates should be more clean

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: I havent had to deal with this yet

3 College Junior

Campus Housing: all my classes are online

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: average at best. employees have no clue whats going on.

4 College Junior

Athletics: They are okay. They are no MSU

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Most things about ASU West campus are great. It almost reminds me of a large high school, with some older students. Class sizes are relatively small, professors usually care about the students and almost always have an open door policy.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I have not had much experience with these particular services, but they seem readily available to those who choose to use them.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: As the #1 Most Innovative School in America, ASU takes its innovation factor on all campuses very seriously. Classes offered are interesting, but difficult, which is only to be expected at a university. ASU's West campus is small and personal, similar to my own hometown, and when my professors from two semesters ago recognize and greet me at the local Starbucks, I know that I would never choose another school.

Academics: ARIZONA STATE PROVIDES A GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN.

5 College Senior

Overall Experience: THE PROFESSORS BRING EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE TO THE CLASS. I ENJOY THE TOPICS AND THEIR INSIGHT

5 College Senior

Overall Experience: I APPRECIATED THE EXECUTIVE COACH.

5 College Senior

Overall Experience: THE ON LINE INFORMATION IS EASILY ACCESSIBLE. GRADES ARE MAINTAINED SO AS A STUDENT I UNDERSTAND MY STANDING IN THE CLASS. THE ON LINE DISCUSSIONS ARE VALUABLE. I AM VERY PLEASED WITH ARIZONA STATE.

2 College Junior

Overall Experience: The majority of classes are overcrowded. It's easier to take online classes so you can actually speak with the teacher one on one through email. Too many powerpoints. TAs grade assignments differently than the teachers describe them. There's mandatory attendance required for many classes that mainly online, which is ridiculous.

2 College Junior

Overall Experience: When they have job fairs it's rarely for anyone interesting. They have a lot of recruitment for State Farm but that is only because it's right down the street from campus. There never seems to be variety in who they get to come down.

Health & Safety: People's bikes get stolen a lot. There was an international female student I knew who told me she was sexually assualted within her first month at ASU. All she got was a rape whistle from the campus police. There isn't enough lighting on campus. Too many dark places for somebody to hide. You rarely see security at night.

Campus Housing: There have been bed bugs and many exterminations this past semester. Also, there were multiple gas leaks during the early hours of the morning so students were kicked out of their rooms for several hours.

Greek Life: I didn't pledge but apparently the guys who are in it are jerks. They harass girls in elevators and gang up on them. A few years ago they let an underage girl into a party and because she was stupid enough to stand next to a fire pit, she got burned when a frat boy through liquor in the fire. They're not the brightest.

Overall Experience: It feels that since the teachers have a huge workload, the students get the blunt end of the stick when it comes to work. The teachers should be paid adequately for the work they do and should be able to be available to students during working hours (office hours). I was a transfer student to ASU and received a lot of flack from advisers for it; many implied that they did not expect me to do well in my courses at all. I feel uncomfortable at this school sometimes because I did not come from an affluent setting, it doesn't appeal to students like me who do not necessarily have the means to come to this school without aid.

Also, I wish ASU would do something about the homophobic, misogynist preacher Dean Saxton who comes to campus to "preach". This man calls girls on campus sluts and whores and screams at students that we're going to hell. He tries to incite violence among the students and has little "bodyguards" who threaten students. It's not a safe environment.

Plus, there were complaints among students against ASU for its reaction to a threat about a shooting at school in the Fall semester of 2015. While the threat turned out to be a hoax, students were still not warned about it adequately. We get emails for a swarm of bees across the street from the campus but someone says they will shoot people on campus and we hear nothing.

Athletics: A lot of attention is focused on the Sun Devils football team even though they perform poorly. Students can get free tickets to games, though.

5 College Freshman

Academics: I have decided to go under the major Kinesiology, and I am highly confident ASU will have what it takes for me to be able to pursue a life long career in this field.

5 College Freshman

Health & Safety: I feel very safe on this campus and I know if I was ever In a situation where I needed help there would be resources here at ASU that could help me.

Arizona State is like no other university in the country. With a large, vibrant, and exciting student body that truly makes the campus unique, there is no arguing that ASU is by any means a boring place to be for the next four years of your life. As soon as you step onto ASU's campus, you will feel the immense amount of positive and exciting energy that gives you sense of belonging. Even though there are so many students around campus, you will be sure to find a niche to call your own. College is the time to find yourself and truly learn who you are as you prepare for the real world. ASU provides the perfect environment to challenge you to make "adult" decisions, and you won't always, but by the end of it all, you will mature into a dedicated individual!

Even though students will struggle with all-nighters, sports practice, parking tickets, and trying to recover from a great night, many of them couldn't ask for anything else. There will be times that you are drowning in homework and studying, but by the end of it all, you will look back and laugh. Your peers help you get through the tough times and make those social outings even more fun. ASU knows how to party hard, but when it comes to crunch time, we pull it off well. The kids here know how to have a great time, the nightlife and social settings are extremely fun, the academics are quite challenging—especially when you apply yourself and take it seriously—but most importantly, students will leave prepared for post-graduation and taking on the world. ASU is a fantastic place to meet new people and a great way to experience life in the great southwest. But don't take my word for it—come on out and experience it for yourself!
