Campus Housing: It was super expensive to live in the dorms but the experience was worth it. In the end, from sophomore year on I've lived off campus to save money.

Academics: Family and Human Development – Very interesting major, lots of room for other classes so i have room for a double major or minor. This major in particular does a good job at having internships available. They also work with the Honors College at ASU to help us honors students write our thesis.

Administration: There is no "strictness" to speak of. Aside from some professors who act like their class is the only thing in the world that could ever matter to the student in it, it's rare to find strict rules.

Party Scene: ASU is famous for being a "party school" and the students that go here have earned that reputation. With Mill Ave being so close and being filled with different bars and clubs and dance halls it is easy to fall into the temptation to get lost in the crowd. It's a great place to get lost and forget about your troubles for a while. It is not conducive to hard work or striving to get all A+'s.

Academics: The work load at ASU is intense. For a "party school" they sure are extremely tough on grading. I have a 3.76 gpa and it is incredibly hard for me to keep even though in high school I was an all honors and AP student. It is near impossible to hold a job and go to school full time at this particular college and that is a big problem for me. They also follow a totally unfair grading policy when using the +/- system. Getting an A- hurts my gpa and yet having a B+ or even a B helps my gpa? That's not fair. An A takes more work to get whether its A- or A+...

Guys & Girls: Girls Fit the Reputation – The girls are what one would expect from Arizona State: hot and dumb. And while many of them are party girls, there are a select few whom spent time studying. The guys mainly consist of jocks.

3 College Junior

Academics: Not Very Challenging – I'm in the film making practices program and I have found that this major is much easier than many of the other ones. The classes take very little effort, with many of the tests being too easy.

3 College Junior

Scholarships: Could Have Been Easier – You definitely have to stay on top of your things because not all of your information gets processed on time due to how many students there are. Plus things get lost frequently.

Diversity: At Arizona State University there is a plethora of diversity. Many people from all over the world come to get an education at ASU. I couldn't imagine anyone being turned down because they were "different" than everyone else.

Academics: Great Study Areas – At Arizona State University there are plenty of libraries and other areas to study and do homework. In each library they have several floors and as you go up the floors, it gets more quiet. The top floor is silent so if you need to get an essay done in a quick amount of time that's a perfect place to complete it. However if you don't like libraries, that's not an issue. ASU has lots of scenery such as gardens, lawns, picnic tables, etc. These places are also great for studying and doing homework. It's also great for having a study group because you won't disturb others like you could in a library.

Academics: Being a psychology major here is awesome. There are so many amazing teachers that are fully aware of what they are teaching. Even better than that they all have office hours in which they are all very helpful with whatever problem you bring in.

5 College Junior

Parking: School parking is excellent. The students who pay more for parking park closest to the campus and the student who pay less for parking have to walk a good 15 to 20 minutes to get to campus. But parking is very clean and very trustworthy.

4 College Junior

Greek Life: Greek Housing – There are a variety type of housing which are very diverse that includes the Greek housing as well.

5 College Junior

Academics: Academic System Is Excellent – ASU has some of the top intructors teaching student with very high degrees which were obtained from great schools.

5 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: Many available dining options, food is cheap considering students needs.

5 College Junior

Campus Quality: Gym/Computer Labs/Libraries – This is always available and helps students extremely so they can do things they want to do on campus rather than off campus.

Academics: Computer Systems/Software Engineering – Obtaining a masters in this degree would give me the opportunity to create programs, different software's fro every office, etc. My dream would to work for the government and creating programs that would benefit in helping to catch criminals.

Campus Housing: Well I haven't lived on campus yet but from what I have heard, they are pretty suitable and satisfactory. Some dorms in other areas of the university are more up scaled than others.

4 College Freshman

Academics: From what I have seen at orientation ASU academic options are endless. They are a university that includes all instead excluding all in order to increase their diversity of the curriculum in order to meet all the students needs.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Food: Meal Plan – the dinning halls were good but got tiring after awhile. it was also good the we had M&G to get from the little stores that were offered if we wanted something else.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: Research Is Great – The best experience that I have had at ASU was joining a lab and conducting research. The science aspect at ASU is not bad. There are plenty of opportunities to do great things. There are parties as well which makes studying non-stop more bearable.

2 College Junior

Technology: Always Crowded When You Need It the Most – The computer commons at ASU are always busy. There are many different places on campus where you can go to use computers, but they always seem to be busy. Due to the high student overflow of ASU, finding that one computer that has not been claimed by anyone, a rarity, is often a pain.

4 College Junior

Academics: Never Letting It Be Easy – I went to Arizona State University due to it offering me scholarship money. The professors are nice, and they strive to make the class difficult but also rewarding. So far I have not had a professor who caters to students' desire to curve a class.

4 College Freshman

Academics: I'm a Global Studies major at Arizona State University. There are a billion opportunities at this college to get ahead. You can do research with a professor or get an on-campus job. There are over 700 clubs to get involved with and lots of sporting events to show your school pride. Whatever it is you want, you can find it here at ASU.

5 College Sophomore

Local Area: So Much to Do! With campuses strategically placed all over Phoenix, you are never far from something amazing! There is always a film festival, carnival, concert or game going on, along with fabulous malls all over the city...this is the best place to go to school ever!

Arizona State is like no other university in the country. With a large, vibrant, and exciting student body that truly makes the campus unique, there is no arguing that ASU is by any means a boring place to be for the next four years of your life. As soon as you step onto ASU's campus, you will feel the immense amount of positive and exciting energy that gives you sense of belonging. Even though there are so many students around campus, you will be sure to find a niche to call your own. College is the time to find yourself and truly learn who you are as you prepare for the real world. ASU provides the perfect environment to challenge you to make "adult" decisions, and you won't always, but by the end of it all, you will mature into a dedicated individual!

Even though students will struggle with all-nighters, sports practice, parking tickets, and trying to recover from a great night, many of them couldn't ask for anything else. There will be times that you are drowning in homework and studying, but by the end of it all, you will look back and laugh. Your peers help you get through the tough times and make those social outings even more fun. ASU knows how to party hard, but when it comes to crunch time, we pull it off well. The kids here know how to have a great time, the nightlife and social settings are extremely fun, the academics are quite challenging—especially when you apply yourself and take it seriously—but most importantly, students will leave prepared for post-graduation and taking on the world. ASU is a fantastic place to meet new people and a great way to experience life in the great southwest. But don't take my word for it—come on out and experience it for yourself!
