Transportation: Free Shuttle Bus! There are free shuttle bus that runs around campus frequently. Like 5-10 minutes per bus. And there are also free shuttle bus that runs back and forth to different campuses. Especially Tempe to Downtown Phoenix and vise versa. So it is quite convenient.

Majors: No Internship – I haven't taken part in any internship on campus yet but I don't plan too because of my kid and work. I wish I could do an internship with the school so I could learn more from one of my Professors.

3 College Senior

Majors: So Far So Good – I've just been in my program for only a year but what i've experienced has been good so far. I can't wait to take more classes in the Business and communication field

3 College Senior

Majors: It was fairly easy to get into the Interdisciplinary program. It was just filling out the application and then getting accepted. the counselors in the program were very helpful

4 College Senior

Drug Safety: Barely Aware – So far I haven't seen or heard of any drugs being used on campus which is good and makes me believe my school is drug free.

3 College Senior

Majors: Interdisplinary Studies – This program is great it allows you to study two different concentrations. If only the business classes could be used towards an accounting degree.

4 College Junior

Campus Food: On Campus Food, Yum – The restaurants are good in my opinion. You have places like Taco Bell, Chick-fil-a, Burger King, Papa Johns, etc. There are other food types to like sushi, vegetarian dishes, and more. That pretty much sold it to me; being able to buy good food without having to get a meal plan.

Off-Campus Dining: The Many Choices – Off campus dining is great in Tempe. There are many options from grills, bars, vegetarian, and foreign foods. My favorites are Buffalo Wild wings and Devil Advocate. Buffalo Wild Wings has great tuesday and thursday deals like 50 cent wings. Many of the different dining options are pretty close by to the campus so its pretty convenient for walking. Many of the restaurants give a 10% student discount which I find convenient. All around I like the off campus dining options here.

Academics: Great Programs – Arizona State has a big variety of options when it comes to Academics. ASU is one of the top 100 school for academics and its speaks for it's self. I came to Arizona State because of the film program. The program is amazing with a variety of classes that advance your knowledge of film and has already helped me improve in my many areas that I want to pursue like screenwriting. I also know that Arizona State has an excellent business program and all I hear is great things about the W.P. Carey School of Business. The great communication from the professors and the and class options is a big reason why I chose ASU

Overall Experience: Even Better Than I Expected – Arizona State is amazing. I made great friends here and I wouldn't change that for the world. The film teachers of the Herberger Institute are very supportive and take an interest in helping the students. The entire campus has a great source of energy with events and activities that makes going to school here exciting. I have to say that I am 100% happy that I chose ASU and to be a Sun devil.

4 College Junior

Scholarships: There Are a Lot – arizona state university offers a lot of scholarships

4 College Junior

Academics: Classes Are Available – there is always a very wide range of classes available

4 College Junior

Academics: Great Support System – All of the campuses have so many tutoring resources.

Parking: There are plenty of places to park around ASU, many of them close to the campus, but it is costly--whether you are a student with a permit, or simply visiting.

4 College Senior

Transportation: No Car Necessary – ASU's surroundings are serviced by reliable, cost effective public transportation--something that cannot be said for most of the Phoenix Metropolitan area. The community is also very pedestrian and cyclist friendly.

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: Relaxed Atmosphere, but No Party School – ASU used to be considered a party school and developed somewhat of a bad reputation nationally. In recent years, many programs have been top-rated, and there is a renewed focus on challenging curriculum and stimulating academia.

4 College Senior

Local Area: Plenty to Do – The area of Tempe where ASU is situated is certainly not dull. There are independent book and record stores--a must for a college town, as well as a thriving nightlife.

4 College Sophomore

Majors: I had a farely easy time getting in cause of grades, but fees are outrageous. And i don't even know what all the moiney goes towards.

Weather: Arizona Is the Desert State. Around campus it is hot and dry and you rarely see rain or storms. However, during the winter it is the best place to be. There is always AC inside buildings and your education is never hindered by the weather which is nice. Another great thing about ASU is that if your AC breaks in your room they will be out to fix it in the same day or make other accommodations for your safety. Other than the hot sun the weather is really nice.

Overall Experience: Poly Is Growing Fast! ASU's Polytechnic Campus is different from any other. Converted from Williams Air Force Base in the Fall of 1996, the Polytechnic Campus is an unique experience for any college student. Students have the option to reside in the old air force barracks and see all the transformations that have been made since its opening. Poly is continually growing and enhancing its buildings and flora. Now, we are building more resident halls to accommodate our growing population and in my opinion Poly has the freshest air out of all four ASU campuses.

Technology: Polytechnic Labs Are Always Free. The computer labs and library on ASU's Polytechnic campus are open generally until midnight during the weekdays in the fall and spring semesters, and later closer to finals. There is always a computer or quiet study room as well as a librarian or computing assistant available for students trying to get work done. The wifi and network reliability are guaranteed and each computer should be equipped with any programs you might need for classes such as SolidWorks.

Scholarships: Confusing at First – I did not get much financial aid even though I am in need. The thing is, they expect you to know how to navigate the website off the bat. I submitted everything on time, but somewhere it was telling me to verify some things. I had no idea where that was, so it went unattended to. When i asked financial aid about it, they said a lot of the scholarships were already given out and that they couldn't do anything because I didn't verify some things on time. So I didn't get what I needed because the process was confusing.

5 College Sophomore

Majors: Not Much Effort – Getting into my program was not even an issue. As a Psychology major, there wasn't really much applying and application. It was almost like you put a check mark next to your major and that was yours. Switching is easy as well as I have had friends transfer multiple times with no problems!

4 College Sophomore

Majors: Very Happy – I was lucky enough to find a major that I would end up sticking with. I know exactly what I want to do and I think that has to do with the great experience with the program. So far, everything has been easy to figure out, I love the courses, and I really know what I'm doing. I'm not lost at all in my path to my career in the future.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Quality: They Have a Great Selection – If you want to do something, you will find a place to do it. Literally any sport that you can imagine, there is a place for it at ASU. They have all sorts of clubs and organizations for literally anything you can imagine.

Arizona State is like no other university in the country. With a large, vibrant, and exciting student body that truly makes the campus unique, there is no arguing that ASU is by any means a boring place to be for the next four years of your life. As soon as you step onto ASU's campus, you will feel the immense amount of positive and exciting energy that gives you sense of belonging. Even though there are so many students around campus, you will be sure to find a niche to call your own. College is the time to find yourself and truly learn who you are as you prepare for the real world. ASU provides the perfect environment to challenge you to make "adult" decisions, and you won't always, but by the end of it all, you will mature into a dedicated individual!

Even though students will struggle with all-nighters, sports practice, parking tickets, and trying to recover from a great night, many of them couldn't ask for anything else. There will be times that you are drowning in homework and studying, but by the end of it all, you will look back and laugh. Your peers help you get through the tough times and make those social outings even more fun. ASU knows how to party hard, but when it comes to crunch time, we pull it off well. The kids here know how to have a great time, the nightlife and social settings are extremely fun, the academics are quite challenging—especially when you apply yourself and take it seriously—but most importantly, students will leave prepared for post-graduation and taking on the world. ASU is a fantastic place to meet new people and a great way to experience life in the great southwest. But don't take my word for it—come on out and experience it for yourself!
