Greek Life: Party Center – If you want to go to any parties, your best bet is a frat party. What sucks is that fraternities have houses, but they're really ugly and ghetto. Sororities don't have houses and instead live together within off-campus apartment complexes (that are super expensive and a total rip-off).

Diversity: THere are people of all different backgrounds at this school and there are clubs and organizations that are both encouraging of diversity and helping people to find acceptance on campus.

Campus Quality: All facilities are are very clean. They are generally lively with people. The libraries have quiet areas as well as social areas. The Memorial union has places to eat, sleep, study, and whatever else you may want to do.

Overall Experience: My school has a good reputation for high education

4 College Sophomore

Weather: Terrible in the summer but the absolute best in the wintertime. The fall and early spring is straight up fantastic.

5 College Sophomore

Party Scene: Banging. This is the place to be. Clubs available all over Tempe and Scottsdale but there are always parties going on off-campus as well as a huge drinking scene on campus, though ASU is technically a 'dry campus'.

3 College Sophomore

Technology: Lots of computer labs, free WiFi campus-wide which is definitely great and I can't say a bad thing about. Decent amount of downtime though for the network, sometimes a bit slow.

1 College Sophomore

Parking: If you are not on campus atleast30-45 minutes before your class then you will probably end up late to class. And parking is expensive.

3 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: ASU is compiled of many different looks from sports, frat and sorority looks, casual, and not so ordinary looks. Girls are a B+ for me, and you'd have to ask a girl to rate the guys because I'm not sure how to do that.

3 College Junior

Campus Housing: The dorms are pretty good at ASU minus a few of the other older ones.

4 College Junior

Technology: The computer service is great. Theres many options arounf campus if you need a computer. Theres almost always one open when you need it around campus. The internet is pretty good but slow at times.

2 College Junior

Academics: Many of the professors are wonderful and really love what they do. On the otherhand you can tell alot of them do not care about the students whhat so ever. Registration is very difficult. Many of the classes fill up so fast leaving no classes for many students to sign up for. They end up signing up for classes that wont even count toward their major.

Parking: It is extremely overpriced and expensive to bring your car to school or to commute. As far as ticketing goes, you are allowed one warning (which is nice) but they are quite strict. You don't really need a car if you are living on campus because everything you need is either walking distance or a short bike ride. However, the convenience of a car on campus definitely has its perks. It can be hard to find a parking spot sometimes, but there are spots, just far away from where you wish to go.

Campus Housing: Some Dorms Are Awesome... Some Are Not. It really depends on where you live on campus. Not many upper classmen choose to stay of campus after their freshman year because housing off-campus is so abundant. Many dorms have a "party" atmosphere, however, less than the surrounding apartment complexes. The dorms are convenient for calls time, but can add up cost-wise quickly. Buying a parking pass and bringing your car to school costs a ridiculous amount of money.

Health & Safety: Somewhat Safe – I don't feel "unsafe", but I would not walk around campus or the surrounding area at night alone. The Campus Security seems to be efficient.

Scholarships: A Little Upsetting – I applied for financial aid of course and was told I would be getting my whole tuition covered with the addition of a few scholarships/grants I got. So I was a happy camper and only took out a small loan to cover my books. However, after applying for the loan my financial aid was adjusted so that the loan would take part in paying for my tuition. So now that meant I was paying for my books out of pocket. And to add to my frustration I found out declaring my major as a nurse meant I would be charged an extra 1000$ a semester before even getting into the nursing portion of the program. This was supposedly considered in FASFA. But apparently I can afford 2000 out of pocket a year.

5 College Freshman

Weather: Downtown Campus – The weather hasn't really affected my experience on the campus. On this particular campus the majority of the buildings are within seconds of each other and the dorms as well.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: Depends on Which Campus You Attend – Off campus housing is readily available. However depending on which campus you're at you're going to end up paying alot or a reasonable amount. Inter-campus shuttles help to give more flexibility on where you are going to live in relation to the campus your major is located at. Parking passes are worth the money if you drive frequently if not utilize city transportation (discounted for ASU students)/inter-campus shuttles (which are free). Safety is great on the campuses there are call buttons located throughout the campuses and they are glad to walk you to your car at night.

Weather: Always Sunny! It's almost always warm and sunny here. It rarely ever rains. It does get a bit chilly during the nights in the late fall/winter, but it's nothing compared to many other places. Perfect if you love the sun!

3 College Freshman

Transportation: So Many Buses – The light rail is right down the road from the campus, offering a low expense way for people who live off campus to get there without too much of a hassle. There a number of fare buses arriving at campus plenty of times, and then there are free orbit buses. The transportation is really good here.

3 College Freshman

Administration: What Just Happened? The police force on campus do their jobs, but the on campus staff and older classmates are pretty relaxed when it comes underage drinking. AS long as a person is not causing trouble, they will usually let it slide because eat one point they were underage too. Even some of the police are chill about it, to a point. Either go off campus to do that kind of stuff, or do it safely in a room. Just because it might not be as tight of rules, the rules still exist.

4 College Freshman

Athletics: There are so many ways to participate in sports, whether it is the actual team, an intramural, or a local club. There is an ultimate frisbee team, a badmitten club, and so much more. The SRC offers raquetball and courts and lawns to do so much. It is hard not to get active in something on campus. Also, the proclaimed teams of ASU provide amazing games and entertainment. This year the football team is doing awesome against some pretty good teams. ASU is serious about football, and we show it by going all out every gameday.

Arizona State is like no other university in the country. With a large, vibrant, and exciting student body that truly makes the campus unique, there is no arguing that ASU is by any means a boring place to be for the next four years of your life. As soon as you step onto ASU's campus, you will feel the immense amount of positive and exciting energy that gives you sense of belonging. Even though there are so many students around campus, you will be sure to find a niche to call your own. College is the time to find yourself and truly learn who you are as you prepare for the real world. ASU provides the perfect environment to challenge you to make "adult" decisions, and you won't always, but by the end of it all, you will mature into a dedicated individual!

Even though students will struggle with all-nighters, sports practice, parking tickets, and trying to recover from a great night, many of them couldn't ask for anything else. There will be times that you are drowning in homework and studying, but by the end of it all, you will look back and laugh. Your peers help you get through the tough times and make those social outings even more fun. ASU knows how to party hard, but when it comes to crunch time, we pull it off well. The kids here know how to have a great time, the nightlife and social settings are extremely fun, the academics are quite challenging—especially when you apply yourself and take it seriously—but most importantly, students will leave prepared for post-graduation and taking on the world. ASU is a fantastic place to meet new people and a great way to experience life in the great southwest. But don't take my word for it—come on out and experience it for yourself!
