Overall Experience: most of the professors I've come in contact with have been all but great eager to help when you ask

Overall Experience: I've heard from the engineering side that there is a lot of connects to work with

Campus Housing: its great living on campus always on campus if you need help or anything. i like that they separate you by major to an extent because if you need help there i everyone around but you don't get to meet others outside of your major

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: as a freshman who hasn't rushed or done much in the greek life I'm indifferent about it

4 College Freshman

Athletics: the games for football and basketball are always a great time and the gym here is great always something to participate in

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: my overall experience has been mixed the class have all been enjoyable the only thing that could be improved is the housing as a freshman in university tower i feel like it is too far from the campus and everything

Health & Safety: Students have been sexually assaulted and stay silent for many days, months, years... The reason why is because they have no one to go to or they are afraid and here as ASU (especially being a big campus) it's hard to find someone and tell. Therefore they just stay silent and they think it is too late.

Overall Experience: I enjoyed my overall experience as a freshman and thought it was great, but you have to seek out to your professors here at ASU because the ratio here is 30:1 or it can be 300:1, therefore your professor will never know who you are. Luckily, I was never afraid and always went to office hours and tutoring and ATTENDED classes no matter how tired or sick I was. Although not all professors take attendance, they notice who doesn't come to class anymore and they may just start giving extra credit and answers to tests....

Overall Experience: I am currently majoring in Education Studies and this is the study of education and with this degree I am capable of working with administration for schools or non-profit organizations and much more. By my junior year, possibly my sophmore year second semester, I am able to start interning at the YMCA. If that doesn't work out, I am able to go to the career center and they are able to help me find internships for my degree.

Campus Housing: I lived in Adelphi Commons II (Teachers college) and it ruined my freshmen year social life experience and therefore I cannot wait to move out.

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: All they talk about is greek life, they are known for their parties, the money they spend to get into greek life, hazing, and the struggle to complete assignments for class.

5 College Freshman

Athletics: Everyone attends the games and gets a shirt or some sort of give-a-way, but the reason why I feel like most students take advantage of going to the games is because the athletics fee is already included in our tuition, and therefore I hear a lot of students choosing to go because they don't want that to go to waste.

Overall Experience: I think Arizona State Univeristy is an amazing school and it is #1 in innovating, but being a freshman and choosing ASU as my college to come to and putting all my effort into coming here, then finally realizing how easy it was to get here, I should have chosen a different school to attend. Also, being around this environment of students who always want to party isn't just my style of learning (living at the dorms).

4 College Freshman

Party Scene: I'm not 21, but I know theres a lot of bars and clubs on mill and in old town scottsdale. Most people uber to and from bars. The bars and clubs are super strict on fakes, so its not even worth trying. Also drinks are usually expensive, but many bars and clubs have good deals for happy hours.

Party Scene: ASU has a lot of parties, but if you're not into it, then you don't have to. There's a lot of apartment parties, which suck because most apartments are tiny, and they shove 30 people into them. The frat parties are mostly at apartment complexes. If you're not in a frat, don't expect to get into a frat party, unless you're a girl. Frat guys have a stick up their ass about letting any guys into their parties, even if they're from out of town. Also frat guys usually have pledges as designated drivers for girls that get too drunk, which is very nice. There aren't too many house parties, but they happen. Cops are pretty lenient on parties, and usually just leave, or let everyone leave, and don't usually arrest anyone.

Academics: I came to ASU thinking that I was gunna breeze through classes, and honestly I struggled a lot my first semester. The classes are probably a little easier if you're not a science major. Classes are pretty difficult, but there are tons of options for general studies classes. Of course they have some easy A classes for gen eds too. Expect to spend quite a bit of work outside of classes on homework and studying. Registration is pretty easy online, the only tough part is getting into some of the classes you want and/or need to take. Classes tend to fill up quick, and sometimes even fill up before you're allowed to sign up for classes.

4 College Freshman

Diversity: Pretty diverse, a lot of foreign exchange students. Most of the foreign exchange students hang out with each others. The campus doesn't seem very racist.

3 College Freshman

Drug Safety: You may feel slightly peer pressured to party because of the ASU atmosphere, but its honestly really easy to say no to. Drugs don't have a huge presence here. A lot of people smoke weed on their own time, but no one really pressures anyone to do it. A lot of kids also use Adderall to focus on school work, so it's there if you want it, but no ones shoving it in your face,

Health & Safety: I think that the campus is generally safe. The university has a safety escort service, that will pick up students on campus and take them back to their dorms, etc. The university also has an app that helps keep the campus safe; the app allows people to report strange people, or things going on. The areas around campus are slightly sketchy, and there are quite a bit of homeless people and tweakers. Mill is full of homeless people and drug addicts, its really gross, and feels unsafe.

Athletics: ASU football season is so much fun. I'm not even a huge football fan myself, but I enjoy attending the games. It's kind of a tradition to camp outside wells fargo arena for football tickets for the best games. I partook in this event, and had a lot of fun. Other sports aren't as crazy, or not many people attend the games. The school is trying to make more people attend the basketball games by having a bunch of giveaways. The fitness complex is amazing. The equipment is updated every 2 years. There are generally multiple of the same machine, so even if someones on the machine you want to use, you can usually find the same machine somewhere else in the gym.

Arizona State is like no other university in the country. With a large, vibrant, and exciting student body that truly makes the campus unique, there is no arguing that ASU is by any means a boring place to be for the next four years of your life. As soon as you step onto ASU's campus, you will feel the immense amount of positive and exciting energy that gives you sense of belonging. Even though there are so many students around campus, you will be sure to find a niche to call your own. College is the time to find yourself and truly learn who you are as you prepare for the real world. ASU provides the perfect environment to challenge you to make "adult" decisions, and you won't always, but by the end of it all, you will mature into a dedicated individual!

Even though students will struggle with all-nighters, sports practice, parking tickets, and trying to recover from a great night, many of them couldn't ask for anything else. There will be times that you are drowning in homework and studying, but by the end of it all, you will look back and laugh. Your peers help you get through the tough times and make those social outings even more fun. ASU knows how to party hard, but when it comes to crunch time, we pull it off well. The kids here know how to have a great time, the nightlife and social settings are extremely fun, the academics are quite challenging—especially when you apply yourself and take it seriously—but most importantly, students will leave prepared for post-graduation and taking on the world. ASU is a fantastic place to meet new people and a great way to experience life in the great southwest. But don't take my word for it—come on out and experience it for yourself!
