Athletics: The New Sun Devil Fitness Complex is HANDS DOWN the best facility I have experienced yet.

Off-Campus Housing: There is a contrast between off-campus student-style living and regular apartment style living.

Off-campus student style goes as follows:

- Utilities included in rent (cable, internet, gas, water, sewage, etc. - electricity depends on the complex)

- Close proximity to campus (less than 2 miles maximum)

- Only issue I find is the price/cost: Once you actually do the math, you're paying way too much for leisure and ease

Regular Apartment Style living:

- Utilities not included (most of the time)

- Larger proximity (closer to campus, more expensive)

- More availability of parking

- More ease (less noise, less traffic, less worry)

- Longer commute

Administration: Personally, I believe parking should not be at such a high price... $800 for a year pass, $10 maximum a day (dependent upon campus and relative location)

Health & Safety: Arizona State University is working to make the campus safer. In addition to multiple campus police patrolling and the implementation of Safety Escort's service after 7 P.M., ASU has introduced a sexual harassment and safety course that you must take in order to enroll in Spring 2015 classes.

Local Area: While in Tempe, the atmosphere is a perfect mixture of college town and regular metro city. In the ASU area, you have Mill. Mill is an eclectic mix between restaurants, nightlife, and shopping. Mill also holds the historic Mill and A-Mountain. As you proceed over the Tempe Town Lake bridge, you encounter such attractions like The Marquee Theater where many artists come to perform. As you branch out of the Tempe area, you can encounter many places like Downtown Phoenix, Historic Mesa, and other places that allow for sports and other recreation.

Scholarships: Financial aid was easily provided when i needed it. i don't have any tips but if you need it it shouldn't be too hard to find or receive.

Administration: I don't know too much about the strictness. I haven't gotten into any trouble but those who do would know more about certain consequences. Its best to just follow the rules that are given by the administration.

Majors: I just switched to business communication but both programs have been great. Advisors and administrators are very helpful. The workload is very moderate, challenging but not too difficult. I enjoy this school and all it has to offer.

4 College Freshman

Local Area: I really enjoy the area. There are things to do for almost anyone no matter their interests.

4 College Freshman

Party Scene: The party scene at ASU is most like other schools. I have been to other colleges and there is no difference really and other schools even have better parties than here.

Campus Housing: I currently live at the Hassyampa dorms and they're awesome. It's a huge community of mainly freshman that are all in the same boat as you and want to meet new people. The dining hall and other food options are close and not bad for college food. All of my classes are easy to get to and the staff in the dorms are always present and helpful.

Athletics: The school spirit here at ASU is through the roof. Every friday everyone is dressed in gold. People camp outside of Wells Fargo arena for days just to get good seats for the football games. If you don't attend a game, its on your tv and your always cheering on our team. No matter what the final score comes out to people will continue to bleed maroon and gold and support ASU athletic teams.

Arizona State is like no other university in the country. With a large, vibrant, and exciting student body that truly makes the campus unique, there is no arguing that ASU is by any means a boring place to be for the next four years of your life. As soon as you step onto ASU's campus, you will feel the immense amount of positive and exciting energy that gives you sense of belonging. Even though there are so many students around campus, you will be sure to find a niche to call your own. College is the time to find yourself and truly learn who you are as you prepare for the real world. ASU provides the perfect environment to challenge you to make "adult" decisions, and you won't always, but by the end of it all, you will mature into a dedicated individual!

Even though students will struggle with all-nighters, sports practice, parking tickets, and trying to recover from a great night, many of them couldn't ask for anything else. There will be times that you are drowning in homework and studying, but by the end of it all, you will look back and laugh. Your peers help you get through the tough times and make those social outings even more fun. ASU knows how to party hard, but when it comes to crunch time, we pull it off well. The kids here know how to have a great time, the nightlife and social settings are extremely fun, the academics are quite challenging—especially when you apply yourself and take it seriously—but most importantly, students will leave prepared for post-graduation and taking on the world. ASU is a fantastic place to meet new people and a great way to experience life in the great southwest. But don't take my word for it—come on out and experience it for yourself!
