Administration: they always try to enforce ridiculous things that are never going to happen, like walking your bike on campus. we have the bikes to ride them on campus. they wasted a ton of money on the campaign to stop people from riding bikes or skateboards on campus.

Health & Safety: ASU isn't very safe at all. there are constantly car accidents all around the campus. and there area around the campus is known as sin city because of how much crime goes on their.

3 College Junior

Local Area: Tempe has a lot to offer, if you are over 21 anyways, but the area surrounding the university isn't safe at all. you dont want to go out at night.

5 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: ASU is a very preppy school. Most girls wear bright colors, a tank top and jeans, and a lot of summer clothes. The guys tend to dress the same. Jeans and a tee or board shorts and a tee. Its all warm weather clothing here. Most of the students are very attractive and outgoing.

3 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: There are a good amount of parties around ASU. However, there isn't much peer pressure to go to the parties.

2 College Sophomore

Parking: There is always parking available. Unfortunately, parking passes are very expensive and there is a bit of a walk to campus. There are private lots right across the street from the campus that you can park at but the daily fee adds up unless you are only staying for an hour or two a day.

5 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There are tons of restaurants around! You will never go hungry, they are cheap and easy to get to.

2 College Freshman

Administration: There are police everywhere, you can't really get away with much. The are very strict on drug use.

5 College Freshman

Weather: I love Arizona weather. I love the heat. The coldest it gets is 40 degrees in the dead of winter, late at night. I love the random rain and lack of snow.

5 College Freshman

Transportation: Awesome! Free transportation is everywhere! They have a shuttle that runs to all four campuses, every half hour, constantly running. Tempe also has a bus system that takes you around campus. Absolutely wonderful.

3 College Freshman

Drug Safety: I'm pretty sure there is a slightly above average drug usage here , because there are so many parties. However , I honestly don't get out much. But I know there are plenty of drugs here. Nothin too harsh, though.

4 College Freshman

Administration: They enforce the rules they have very well. No smoking in the dorms. At all. No alcohol or drugs allowed in the dorms. And no rearranging the double occupancy rooms if there is one person in there.

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: Well, I changed from living at home to on campus, so I brought the hassle upon myself. However, one of the lady's I had to deal with was very unhelpful and clearly didn't want anyone to be there. I would recommend more walk throughs for those that aren't sure how to navigate.

4 College Freshman

Scholarships: The financial aid office got back to me pretty quick and is extremely helpful in finding out where you stand financialy. ASU offered me enough financial aid to help pay for the entire year (though living off campus) and this is considering that I applied late for aid as well.

5 College Freshman

Local Area: Tempe AZ is pretty great its basically been absorbed by ASU and you always find something to do. It's got a lot of mall's and theaters if thats your style plus Mill Ave (by which ASU is located) is great for night life. You have average traffic and the city is set up in a grid so as long as you know north and where you are going you can't get lost. Everybody mostly keeps to themselves but are mostly friendly.

3 College Freshman

Technology: They have free computers and printing in computer commons, but the internet is so poor it becomes frustrating some nights

3 College Freshman

Transportation: They have free buses, the flashback and the flashforward. I like taking them, but theyre usually really early so you miss it. Plus the back stops around 6 and the forward stops around 11 like what..? I wish they would run on the weekends too. They have safety escort service, but they take forever and sometimes never show up.

4 College Junior

Campus Quality: The campus is huge, creates a wide range of class oppertunities to keep your interest. The classes are the perfect size and is easy to interact with the professor and classmates.

Academics: The professors are super helpful, willing to help and understanding. The needed material to recieve a passing grade are provided to you, you just need to do the readings and study. Online testing creates a convenient oppertunity.

3 College Junior

Greek Life: I am not into the Greek life; non-Greek. I do not have the extra cost to join the Greek life. The manditory events and busy schedule of the Greek life is not ideal for a working, full time student. The Greeks do gain a sense of brother/ sisterhood but they have a bad reputation due to their parties.

4 College Senior

Off-Campus Dining: still new to the area but there are still many places that i am discovering in there area

4 College Freshman

Academics: As a student in the business school, I have had the best proffessors, and a curriculum that makes me feel like the things I'm learning are useful. The workload is more than average, but not overwhelming.

4 College Freshman

Drug Safety: ASU is a dry campus is next fall it will be a tobacco free campus. Parties do happen nearby off campus but you get in big trouble if you're caught on campus using or in possession of anything.

4 College Freshman

Academics: I'm in the business school, and they have so many resources to offer you whether it's tutoring, internships, networking oppurtunities, or scholarships. The business school is top notch.

5 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There are lots of options for students to eat off-campus. It is also really nice because they are all close to campus so if you are tired of campus food then you can just go down the block to eat at an actual sit down restaurant.

Arizona State is like no other university in the country. With a large, vibrant, and exciting student body that truly makes the campus unique, there is no arguing that ASU is by any means a boring place to be for the next four years of your life. As soon as you step onto ASU's campus, you will feel the immense amount of positive and exciting energy that gives you sense of belonging. Even though there are so many students around campus, you will be sure to find a niche to call your own. College is the time to find yourself and truly learn who you are as you prepare for the real world. ASU provides the perfect environment to challenge you to make "adult" decisions, and you won't always, but by the end of it all, you will mature into a dedicated individual!

Even though students will struggle with all-nighters, sports practice, parking tickets, and trying to recover from a great night, many of them couldn't ask for anything else. There will be times that you are drowning in homework and studying, but by the end of it all, you will look back and laugh. Your peers help you get through the tough times and make those social outings even more fun. ASU knows how to party hard, but when it comes to crunch time, we pull it off well. The kids here know how to have a great time, the nightlife and social settings are extremely fun, the academics are quite challenging—especially when you apply yourself and take it seriously—but most importantly, students will leave prepared for post-graduation and taking on the world. ASU is a fantastic place to meet new people and a great way to experience life in the great southwest. But don't take my word for it—come on out and experience it for yourself!
