Greek Life: I've No Idea – not much as for a presence on campus. They are here, but it's not a prominent part of the school.

4 College Junior

Party Scene: Mill Ave – If you go out, go to Mill. It's right next to campus with good diversity of attractions, unless you've a car and are loaded, in which case go to Scottsdale.

Campus Housing: It's What You'd Expect – Some of the rooms are large, some are small. It really depends where you are, If you are smart enough to get into Barrett honors college, then live on campus. if not, look elsewhere.

4 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: Drug and Alchol – Drugs are not very common at ASU, you would have to be with a really bad crowed to even realize that there are drugs anywhere near campus. Drinking is more common because most of the student body is older and find more interest in going to the bars near campus.

Diversity: There are many students of all different race and religions at ASU, in the past i have been used to seeing mainly only white individuals but attending ASU I am astounded by the diversity of the student body at ASU and feel very comfortable with the atmosphere.

Campus Food: Food Service – I don't technically eat at school rather back at home or bring my own lunch. It's expensive to buy lunch at school, unless I'm starving I'll get something at taco bell or a smoothie at Starbucks.

Scholarships: Okay but Could Be Better – Financial aid is substantial at ASU, but it would be nice if they increased their merit scholarships as they increased the tuition. Many students who received a merit scholarship no longer have a free ride since tuition hikes have increased past the President's Scholarship.

Diversity: There is a multitude of races and individuals on campus. You will see many different traditions and cultures as evidenced by the numerous organizations and people itself.

Drug Safety: Everyone has different experiences and different vices. Here, the policy of moderation is enforced by most students and drugs and alcohol usually do not affect academics. There is a selection of drugs, but most would agree it is just an experience and not life changing. What is peer pressure? The police are hard if they catch you.

Campus Quality: The Libraries Are Awesome – The libraries on campus are always open and quiet. There are selected floors where talking is discouraged and that term paper can be hashed out in silence. There are books on reserve for selected classes and this service cuts down on book expenses in the long run.

Academics: This is a college campus and the courses reflect higher learning. ASU fulfills the college academic experience

Athletics: Sports Are Great – The football team is the best yet first of all. The students can get involved with any sports team and actually feel friendship.

Off-Campus Housing: Why Pay More? There are man y apartment varieties in Arizona. They're everywhere, even walking distance from the University. I would advise anyone to get themselves an apartment because it will actually be theirs , wont have to share with roommates, and are more cheap then living in the dorms.

Guys & Girls: Sexy School – Everyone that goes to this school has a certain sexiness to them.

Guys & Girls: Beautiful People – There is an unusually large amount of good-looking guys and girls here. Lots of tan fit people with pretty faces, but you see all kinds here. There are definitely plenty of options.

Campus Food: Okay Food Options – There are a few options for food on the ASU campus. Devil's Diner is kind of crappy and only convenient for the one dorm next to it, but its also the only dining option past 8 or 9 at night. (It's 24 hr.) The MU (Memorial Union Building) has the greatest range of food options, (all the fastfood, jambajuice, etc.) but only Pitchforks is on mealplan, (Its the main dining hall on campus.) The food is very crappy but doable if not eaten too often. The best food on campus is in the Barrett Honor College dinging hall. Its really good but costs extra for those not on it's expensive mealplan.

4 College Junior

Scholarships: Process Is Slow but Reliable – I have gotten a lot of supportive financial aid from ASU and I have been able to rely on my financial aid here. It comes slow but I am able to have enough from my last semester to pay on time and still be able to have enough for books and tuition.

Drug Safety: Not Too Bad – I have definitely seen drinking on campus but I do not personally participate so I have not seen much. I have heard about it and heard about some drugs. But not much has actually been witnessed by me and I have not sought out any of these activities.

Greek Life: Not Very Impressive – I have not felt the need to join one because I feel it is not as important as my major or my peers. I feel I have no time for this and therefore know nothing about it.

Overall Experience: The Freshman Experience – I am in my freshman year at ASU and so far have had a pretty good experience. There has been a bit of a transitional period being on my own and getting used to the college scene, but the counselors and staff do their best to make it an easy adjustment.

Diversity: A Very Diverse Campus. ASU has a very diverse campus. There are people of all races, challenges, and sexual orientation. I haven't found the diversity to be an issue. I have found that most people embrace the diversity.

Campus Quality: Beautiful Campus With Many Opportunities – Arizona State University has a vast variety of facilities and campus activities. There is something for everyone on this campus and always a way to get involved or a place to hang out. From the rec center to the library, ASU has created a place where students feel welcome and are able to make the most of their time on this campus.

Greek Life: The greek system at ASU is unlike any other greek system nation wide. There aren't any houses/greek row. The greek system is connected through events and parties that are usually planned ahead of time. The greek system, alike any other college, is a great way to meet new people and expand your horizons.

Campus Housing: Life in Barrett – Living on campus at Arizona State University really allows students to become more involved with the school. Living preferences all really depend on the type of student you are. If you're all about hardcore studying Barrett honors college is a great option, if you're more laid back with a little extra free time between classes offcampus appts are the best way to go. As far as cost goes, truthfully, the more you pay the better the experience, atmosphere, and food will be. Becoming accustomed to on campus living is very exciting and a great way to meet people and most of all find out your interests and dislikes.

Arizona State is like no other university in the country. With a large, vibrant, and exciting student body that truly makes the campus unique, there is no arguing that ASU is by any means a boring place to be for the next four years of your life. As soon as you step onto ASU's campus, you will feel the immense amount of positive and exciting energy that gives you sense of belonging. Even though there are so many students around campus, you will be sure to find a niche to call your own. College is the time to find yourself and truly learn who you are as you prepare for the real world. ASU provides the perfect environment to challenge you to make "adult" decisions, and you won't always, but by the end of it all, you will mature into a dedicated individual!

Even though students will struggle with all-nighters, sports practice, parking tickets, and trying to recover from a great night, many of them couldn't ask for anything else. There will be times that you are drowning in homework and studying, but by the end of it all, you will look back and laugh. Your peers help you get through the tough times and make those social outings even more fun. ASU knows how to party hard, but when it comes to crunch time, we pull it off well. The kids here know how to have a great time, the nightlife and social settings are extremely fun, the academics are quite challenging—especially when you apply yourself and take it seriously—but most importantly, students will leave prepared for post-graduation and taking on the world. ASU is a fantastic place to meet new people and a great way to experience life in the great southwest. But don't take my word for it—come on out and experience it for yourself!
