Athletics: Pretty good gym faculty and pretty good clubs to join as well.

Overall Experience: I really love Arizona State University and the downtown campus they really care and want to be involved and get to you know you a lot.

Overall Experience: I am not a quitter, so I will get the most out of whatever educational opportunity I am given. Wild horses can not keep out of the race of success! I will not stop until I win! As I mentioned earlier your marketing and advertising for this institution is remarkable, I liken it to drinking a veggie smoothie that taste really yuck!!! But, everyone else says it's the best smoothie to drink even at the small price of $20 per oz. cup, and millions of people drink them daily even Dr. Oz. Great advertising, fabulous marketing it works so work it. I am all in for this spectacular ride!

Overall Experience: My most active challenge is to stay out of some of the politically correctness that is so prevalent at ASU. For example, he/she is a doctor, this one is only an instructor, not a doctor, this individual has tenure. Frankly, so what? We are all human beings, we do not live in a caste system. " Each one teach one, each one know one, everyone you meet knows something you do not." The professors teach as if we are already as knowledgeable as they are. We would not be there if we were. The professors want to boast their brilliance by teaching their own curriculum, well need I say more, I trust Pearson and Campbell current textbooks more. If you want to teach us what you learned 30 years ago, write a book, and buy your own school. Professors also know that no student has children, jobs, sick parents, disabled children to care for, therefore, we have nothing to do but focus our entire lives on their class alone. Forget the other classes, mine is most important! Yeah right#&*#*&%

Health & Safety: I personally can never give an excellent rating on safety or on prevention of sexual assault. The reality is that it can and will happen to most every women and 35% of men in their lifetime. I do believe the college makes an honest effort to combat this extremely sensitive and violent crime. The main concern I would have is do we as women have a self-defense class in place for faculty, students, employees, everyone to ensure at least some equal playing field in the event of a violent and degrading act.

Greek Life: I am 50 years old, I am not really that concerned.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: The overall appearance of the campus is absolutely stunning. It is immaculate, meticulously groomed, peaceful environment. When I look at the beauty of the university I always remember the adage, "Everything that glitters is not gold." My textbooks were approximately $600. I have had no use for any of them but generously I will say two of them I have been required to use. "Please, tell me this is not a pharmaceutical company disguised as a university." Perhaps someone has statistically proven that all students who attend this college are equally wealthy, and $600 is equivalent to 600 pesos." Although, I am not a doctor, yet, and at these prices I can only wonder how long it may take me to become one, you asked.

Athletics: I find it very difficult to participate in extracurricular activities. Most students are so stressed about homework, and overwhelmed with the content of set courses. Which usually do not involve the textbook, that was bought for the class.

I would feel guilty going to other "fun" events. There is no way to indulge in " fun" when your life is consumed with 100 question study guides that lead nowhere! I am on campus for classes, tutoring, and study, 50-60 hours a week! I still feel inadequate as many other students do. Everyday a student will say, "I want to just give up, I can't do this, I am overwhelmed, how am I going to make it?" Remember ASU has a 68% success rate of completion. That number equates to a letter grade of a D. Definitely not passing, something has to change.

Arizona State is like no other university in the country. With a large, vibrant, and exciting student body that truly makes the campus unique, there is no arguing that ASU is by any means a boring place to be for the next four years of your life. As soon as you step onto ASU's campus, you will feel the immense amount of positive and exciting energy that gives you sense of belonging. Even though there are so many students around campus, you will be sure to find a niche to call your own. College is the time to find yourself and truly learn who you are as you prepare for the real world. ASU provides the perfect environment to challenge you to make "adult" decisions, and you won't always, but by the end of it all, you will mature into a dedicated individual!

Even though students will struggle with all-nighters, sports practice, parking tickets, and trying to recover from a great night, many of them couldn't ask for anything else. There will be times that you are drowning in homework and studying, but by the end of it all, you will look back and laugh. Your peers help you get through the tough times and make those social outings even more fun. ASU knows how to party hard, but when it comes to crunch time, we pull it off well. The kids here know how to have a great time, the nightlife and social settings are extremely fun, the academics are quite challenging—especially when you apply yourself and take it seriously—but most importantly, students will leave prepared for post-graduation and taking on the world. ASU is a fantastic place to meet new people and a great way to experience life in the great southwest. But don't take my word for it—come on out and experience it for yourself!
